Have this set, as a sparky, it’s amazing and can not recommend it enough
I just got this set this month and it seems they upgraded the textile pouch.
The sockets are now in the newer style where you have to twist them to take them out. And the ratchet + the screwdriver handle are no longer in the netting but instead have a simple elastic band. The wrench pouch is also made smaller.
So it seems wera learns quick from customer input.
I'm a fiber optic technician (in Europe) and we use a lot of Wera tools, we also use Proxxon and Makita
I liked the insulated KK tool, I own one. To compare it to the Wiha pop up slimline would be a competitor.
I have used this set heavily over the last two years. As others have noted, the netting wears out eventually and the bits tend to fall out (I ended up removing them so they dont get lost). I am also not a fan of those voltage testing screw drivers so that got removed. Other than that I love this set.

Any set of Wera tools is interesting as far as I'm concerned. With that said, a number reviews on the KC Tool website back up what people say here about the voltage tester not being practical even in 220/230 volt countries. Hopefully in the future Wera will omit this tool in favor of something else. I really like my normal Wera VDE screw drivers and I am wondering if anyone here has opinions on the multi blade system/handle.
Bought one of these 2nd hand (but like new) a few weeks ago for €50. Very nice set!

@@RobbertN Still spotless. I'm not a professional user, but use these quite a bit, together with a fluk T110 it's my goto set for helping people out with electrical issues.
How do you feel about the evolution of many (but not all) German tools from a utilitarian/industrial appearance to more and more examples that are colorful and almost toy-like? This also happened with power tools. Post Apocalyptic Inventor mentioned this too when he was restoring some Bosch power tools.
I've noticed the colourful and toy like appearance of hand and power tools is because they just seem to resonate with my inner child, we end up thinking less about the price or the quality of the tool as our mind overrides that and says "buy it it looks cool and we can pretend it's a space gun"
I actually think it isn't that bad with Wera. They stick to their green/black scheme, different colors are used to display special purpose tools, like the VDE screwdrivers, or the stainless steel tools.
Although Bosch is definitely guilty of this
I love my kit. Use it everyday. My only complaints are that the sockets can fall off and out if the kit is knocked about and the netting is now torn through wear.
Just got this set as a xmas gift. They have changed how the sockets are held in place. You now have to twist the socket a quarter turn and you can take it out. Otherwise it will not fall out (or pull out). They also changed the netting holders to strap holders for all but the wrench. On the downside they have removed the embroidered "mm" indications near the sockets.

86 Euros on German Amazon. OK if you make house calls and want a lightweight and compact package, but I much prefer the rigidity of one-piece screwdrivers; the slight wobble would drive me crazy. Oh, and many tradesmen have made the giant leap to using cordless...so no.
I thought I would think the same thing until I really started to use them. The market is for tradesman who want to carry less tools.

Haven't really found a job where I have needed it. I'm going to cut up an old filing cabinet to use for scrap sheet metal so maybe that would be good time.
Voltage tester isn’t useless in North America. Some tools and a Dryer appliance run on 240A/C
240V appliances are still single phase, just two 120V lines that are 180 degrees apart. We have three phase 480V systems that are 277V phase to neutral so it wouldn't work with those either since the tool is only rated to 250V.

@@adventurebloc they should not even include it in germany its called lügenstift (lying pen) it gets usually straight to the waste bin and in most ~220-250 country a professional would never use it since its a "lying pen"
Why a 10-13 wrench and not a crescent wrench? In a small toolkit it makes more sense
Because you will ruin your screwheads! Nobody uses them here in Europe. It's a typical American thing ...
Wera doesn't make crescent wrenches. 10 and 13 mm are also the most overused sizes in all of Europe.
They should make a cycling maintenance kit

I love this system but I dislike Wera handles, shame!
The Voltage tester is also everywhere useless in germany its lovely called Lügenstift ( lying pen ) ^^

Why didn't they just include the 9mm ffs. What's with companies skipping sizes.
Not enough room and not a common size. Bit check doesn't have 9 or 11 either.

But what are 9mm sockets for? There is no standard I know of that needs that. Maybe you should use standard sized screws.
Some fasteners might be querky like 8mm threads. There are 12mm sockets or 13mm or even 14mm used because russian, japanese and german standards say something different there.
I've seen some brake bleeder valves that are 9mm, but that is the only time I can recall when a 9mm has been needed.

No self respecting electrician in the uk would use a neon screwdriver, would have made more sense to include a second vde handle. The collor only needs to be pulled back to release the blades, push the blade in and it locks automatically.
