It's great to see Clayton out there on the hill, fully healed!! it's hard to believe it's been 3 years since that nasty flat landing, i'm just happy medical science has progressed to the point that we can recover from gnarly stuff like broken backs!
You survive for the most part but you're never back to normal. At least not when you have a bad injury like a broken back. I am a rehab specialist and the victim of bad accident myself. The spine is the most intricate joint by far on the human body. Amazing how I screwed up lower back can screw up your neck. Some people find me the same injury way harder to deal with than others. I had to invent a method to treat the injury I have and it amazed me nobody else in the world figured it out and it wasn't rocket science. Yeah you're right it is good to see somebody up and moving after something like that.
I still have the same feels for the Outlaw rigs like it was the first time I've seen them!! I don't think I'll ever lose the love I have for them, EVER!! 💯🍻💪🏾
Yeah I don't agree with them fixing the hill they should if they're going to do that they need to fix it after every run first run after they fix it he makes it to the top any of them buggies were capable of making it up that hill, I think the rest of them got screwed
Would be nice if the guys that have zero chance of making it wouldn't just sit there and spin. All they are doing is screwing the guys behind them. You either make it in one shot ore you aren't in the money anyway...
Thank you so much for the great entertainment you and your Compadres do a fantastic job I'm 55 years old I had a heart attack and kidney failure at the same time so I'm very ill and tied to a machine Your Entertainment help me escape thank you God bless.

Like the guy narrating said it's luck of the draw. I agree with you it's kind of unfair in certain aspects because skill only comes into part of it The trail condition and when you get to run I think makes probably 75% of it.
Awesome video! By the looks of it, the first one to go up the hill has the advantage! The ground is fresh, the soil compact and the rocks intact! Those that come later have to deal with the loose earth and rocks dug up by the others before them! But of course, if you get to go first, you have to be the first one to chart a new course, which is a big challenge in itself! Once again, absolutely awesome video and thanks for sharing with us!👌😁
Sometimes you're right on that one but there's a reverse too sometimes when there is a trailblazed all the way to the top you can get a run at it and catch it. It seems like luck of the draw for the most part aside from the first one and having a trailblazed anyway. In other words I completely agree with you with one little caveat. I think they should get a run at something that kind of looks like a ramp and see how many trees they can clear about the only way they can do it lol
I'm not disagreeing with you in the slightest but it kind of sucks when 90% of them get stuck on the same spot for all of it and that's why they decided to groom it I imagine but it gives the people after that a really unfair advantage. The only way around that I could think of was to give the people before that another run on the new trail. Say like 10 competitors get stuck in the same spot so they groom the trail. I honestly don't have a very good answer besides that and that's not real good in my mind. If everybody gets stuck in the same spot though it's not very much fun especially for spectators. Because you go to the whole race and nobody makes it up the top or past that one hump or clump of rocks. I imagine it gets expensive with injuries broken parts and things like that when they're trying to make it through a spot that nobody makes it past and they just keep hitting the brick wall. If everybody is getting stuck in one spot that's not luck of the draw that's just a brick wall You at least want a chance to make it to the top.
Interesting just how much more tire variety there was for this one - I'm kinda obsessed with off-road tire design and there were some I had just never seen before, and a lot more people running tractor/chevron style rears (which is usually just an "Outlaw" thing). My favorite tires are the M/T Baja Pro X that Anthony Yount was using.
I run those type of tires that you're talking about on my RC monster truck. And they are the best that I've been able to find so far. They hold up very well and they're fast as hell and they get the best traction on almost any surface I have found. I wouldn't have the guts or the money to do it in one of these things but sure a lot of fun to do it when I can walk away from any crash.
Now that was brutal for alot of Drivers and their Buggies!! How can GROOMING the track be consider at any point, that's stupid crazy!! Thanks for the great video guys, that was wild!! 😎
Watching people dig trenches then roll back and start again halfway down the hill might be some of most frustrating things I’ve seen 😂😅 Looks like speed is keen on this hill.
great video! one of my most favorite episodes! congrats to Danny Smith and about the fixing course, to me it matters if drivers were consulted, if they said ok ,then go for it
That's the best comment I've seen so far It makes sense I did not know they consulted the drivers nobody wants to be on a track that there's no way they can get all the way up at least want a fighting chance. Even if you got screwed in the order I'm sure the other drivers in sportsmanship would say yes they need to fix the track. Great comments sir

I am a big fan of Wes Kean, glad that if anyone could get the advantage, that it was him, but, I do agree with you Matt, I don’t believe that it was a fair choice to the other dozens of awesome competitors to groom the ramp in the middle of a competition...

Whats the use of a draw if you get a fresh track mid race? Same with street racing, first two down have shit grip, last pair down have the best. The draw is part of the race like it it or not
In these rock climbing videos going first is a pretty huge advantage. That trail got gnarly with those small boulders tumbling into the trail. Not fair at all clean it up in the middle of the heat.
More rock smashing than bouncing just before they pulled that BS move and groomed the trail. A lot of carnage done to the hill after, what these machine can take and do is amazing 💪 great vid yet again 👊🏼
first guy up the hill had the advantage , not saying it couldnt of gone different , but when it comes to mud , hills and rain . first one over any terrain has a advantage before the ride becomes tuffer to pass.
They should either manicure it after every run or don't touch it at all and draw straws for grid position. It's a difficult question because the track will never be the same each time someone runs it. So it will never truly be fair to the drivers the further you go back in the line up. If the sport wants to be fair to each driver then they will have to start making and designing courses that they can repair after each run. I come from a drag racing, drag boating and tractor pulling family. This was fun to watch.
Good! Watching these videos where only 1 makes it up by luck is boring!!! Paid to watch a hill climb race. Not 99% failure!! Time is 1st! Not 99% failure!!!
Man them tires and buggy’s take a beating dang. I had a 1976 Ford LWB with 33-12.50-15’s ground hawgs on it and it would go quiet a ways up that. I’m serious if you had the nuts to drive it it would climb it. It had a big block 360 in it wish I still had that old beast.
