Listen for anyone taking their exam now or in a couple years, staying up late panicking isn’t effective I passed with a 9 and can personally tell you I though I was gonna fail. You have to remember even if you slept through the classes or didn’t show up at all that you’ve come to far to be panicking or worrying. Instead think about this, what does the marking want, it wants you to explain and evaluate. Your quotes dont have to be anything to do with that specific character as long as you can change it into that. (For example “Get him Lennie” which is a command made by George reveals the personality traits and social standing of candy as candy did not make any commands or remarks during the fight, this shows how timid candy was which is re instated later when his dog gets shot. This makes candy stand out from men like Carlson but also reminds us that candy is still held back by his disabilities due to 1930’s American mindsets. ) It’s obscure stuff like that. You don’t need to revise all the quotes and loose sleep, you need to drink water keep the thoughts in the back of your head and force yourself to sleep. I hope this helps

That was fantastic. I read this book and after reading it, I knew I needed to ‘work it out.’ As a writer, I felt there was so much more to this novella than the simple story. I didn’t realize how much was there, though. I appreciate this. I’m truly amazed at Steinbeck’s talent.

Thank you so much for this. I was looking for a summary before i start school and this is very well done. The facts that you not only have character but you have themes which is what many fail to have. THANK YOU

integrate it into what you say. don't stop and then talk about context. say something, for example, crooks' lack of dreams. you can then say that 'this is engendered by attitudes towards poc in this time period. through the jim crow laws and the kkk, it is clear that crooks' lacks dreams because he has become so use to his place in society.' hope this helps :)
