My model just stopped pumping water and I was stressin that I was gonna have to buy another 😭😭 this vid being uploaded 12 days ago?? Just in time!!! Thank you so much!!!! I’m bout to become the handyman dad of our apartment 🫡😂😉
Thank you! This will help. I just cleaned out my cooler, and the pump is working but making a lot of noise. I'm confident now I can just replace the pump. Yay!
Thanks for showing step by step. Think I over filled ..hope it's not the pump! Yet, if it is..seems easy to replace and not costly. Just bought evap cooler last yr so... Surprised I'm having problems already.
Thanks Zobe. How old is your unit ? That may dictate whether you should replace parts or buy a new one. The fan works independently of the water pump. Maybe the calcium build up around the fan is preventing the fan from working. Hope that helps a little.
As per usual....great video, Jay. Most of the places I've lived (high humidity environments) those swamp coolers don't have much effect. I'm thinking they are perfect for AZ though!
Less than a year old, pump lasted 3 months for last summer. I properly cleaned & flushed the unit before putting into storage and everything worked properly then. Then this week, pulled it out to prep it for summer...and the pump doesn't work. Is this normal after only 3 months of use last summer?
I hope it’s not normal Silverman ! I haven’t started my unit back up for this summer yet but like yours, it worked ok when I last used it last summer. It’ll be interesting to see.
Yea, that was a pain getting to that screw. I didn’t show it because I couldn’t get a good angle for the camera without my arm being in the way. Hope you got it off though.
Are you wanting a spit system due too it not keep up or not performing too your need’s anymore? I just bought one and I am in California although this will be for my living room until I figure out an air condition problem I’m having.. really enjoyed your unboxing video helped alot with other questions
@@alexandrorodriguez1442 The Hessaire evap is working fine when you’re within ten feet or so of it. But for a bigger area like my garage, I think a split system would do a better job of keeping the entire garage cool. And then warm in the winter. Hope that helps.
@@JayVisnansky I have yet too use it in garage setting but will buy one for it, I was also told a hack too do aswell and that was too use ice cubes too help cool the water.. hope you noticed a difference like I did
Oh, ok. It’s the electrical connection you’re referring to Angela. That connection is much like an electrical plug in that it’s just friction that holds it on. And chances are, it has some calcium buildup that holds it on tight. So if it was new, you’d just pull it off. But it’s not, so I used a screwdriver at the connection and preyed it off. There’s nothing more holding it on than friction. So just prey it off. I sure hope that helps you Angela.
Easier than buying a new one. My original pump lasted one and a half summers but I used it constantly her in the Las Vegas desert where the water is very hard.

You are welcome Viviane ! You can do it. It is relatively easy. Good luck and thanks for watching.
I was actually looking for this exact model and vid of replacing the water pump. Thank you so much, you definitely have a new sub.
Excellent ! Thanks. It’s actually pretty easy replacing the pump. Hardest part is getting the screws loose that hold the pump. Thanks for watching.
The hardest part was they put the zip tie next to both sets of wires.
@@solidsnakeandgrayfox That’s right. But luckily I had those small wire strippers that fit right in there.

Great Vicky. It’s pretty straightforward once you open it up and see there’s not much to it ! Keep cool. Thanks for watching.

Can you please provide part number for replacement pump?
@@ronlee2776 Ron, the part number for the pump is 6017050.
Hessaire 1,300 CFM Cooler Pump.
@@JayVisnansky Thank you!
Looking pretty cool at this point Mr. Jay I’m in Jacksonville Fl I’ve been thinking a mini split the older I get Mabey a little treat for myself here!
Me too on the mini slit system. I have a perfect spot for it too. Maybe this Fall. Thanks for watching.

I wouldn’t think overfilling would cause the pump to go out Theresa. But it is easy to replace the pump. Good luck Theresa.
my pump AND fan don’t work. should i try to replace the water pump first? idk if thats gonna help the fan start or not. great vid

@@JayVisnansky it’s just over a year old! got it last summer. it might be calcium buildup! any tips to clean that? toothbrush and water?
thanks!
@@zobe5172 Vinegar does a great job dissolving calcium.

Thanks Gregory ! But even here in AZ, the evap is reaching its limit. It hit 115 today ☀. Thanks as always for watching.
And Las Vegas!
Thank you
You are welcome. It’s easy and you can do it. Thanks for watching.
hello,sir
Can you tell me the size of the Hessaire Hose Adapter copper? The size of the threaded interface with the float valve, thank you

Thanks Felix ! Glad it helped you. The hardest part was just getting the screws loose on the pump. Thanks for watching.
Thanks! Helped a lot
Excellent ! Glad it worked for you Kathy.
The hard part is getting the damn screw on tge other side out. But no body shows that...they just skip to it being off!!

Stay cool Jay!
I’m sure trying Jason ! I think a split system like a Mr Cool is next on the agenda. Thanks for watching !

How do you unclip the clip from the old pump? The video didn't show that part. You just said it's easier to use a screwdriver to get it off.

Right. The pump is easy to replace and then it’s good to go for another year or two. Thanks for watching.
Didn't have to cut the hose..it screws out.
Right ! Mine had a good amount of calcium built up around it and there was enough slack in the hose, so I just cut it off. Thanks for watching.
Did the same thi g my pump wony co e on
Make sure the connection on the water pump is clean and tightened.
