I had been dying to give Tunisian crochet a go. However, I'm still at a loss as to how to make a throw that is, say, 60" x 72". Most cables I found had a maximum length of 150 cm. Do you prepare them in small batches and then stitched them together?

Hi! 150 cm is almost 60"...but you can cram a lot of tunisian sts onto a tunisian hook/cable. I have made a 36" wide baby blanket using a 15" long tunisian hook.

Thank you so much for your reply. Now this makes me excited already. Gonna try it out as soon as the hook arrived.

    Lovely pattern
If we have more stitches than 12 or 16 to make a blanket, they wouldn't fit on the crochet hook
What do we do then. Pls help

Use the kind with a cord.

Typically when making a tunisian blanket, you will need a tunisian hook with a cord.

Would you ever bind off in pattern?

How do you get your bottom edge not to curl?

I notice that this stitch doesn't curl near as badly as most Tunisian stitches do.

Purl stitches can help prevent curling

Ashley, I might suggest that in the video, you take your time teaching someone new how to do the stitches about 4 times, so someone new can catch on to how to do the stitches. Also, slow down your speech. Just a suggestion for someone new to learning new stitches.

Nice, but why do you use the same color yarn as your background- it's difficult to see? Just a friendly suggestion to use a contrasting yarn or background. Thank you!
