Development is the key. For example, Spencer Knight has great resources with position coaching, mentorship in front office, nutritionist, and proven veteran already playing at Florida. Hope Cossa continues to progress. No one can say 100% what his career might be, but I liked the 2021 # 15 overall selection and hope he thrives in Detroit once called up.
One thing that concerns me is the oil king out shoot their opponent like crazy every game and their defense shows up every game. I would like to see him in GR so we can get a better look
It’s his glove hand…it’s never in position. When he goes to hug the post, it’s lateral. When he is taking a shot one-on-one. It’s too high. He needs to use his left shoulder more. And use the size. When moving post to post. He uses his left elbow to touch the post. He needs to lay his arm down vertically, while using his skate touching the post. So, he can understand his position. Another thing, unless the puck is right at his chest, he seems to fight to puck. Causing major rebounds. A great goalie coach would help him with these situations!
Only way he plays earlier than expected is if he kills the prospect tournament and pre season not to far out of reach but it is a long shot cause I remember when Marc andre fleury first came in the nhl he was peppered with puck night in and night out they were talking of sending him down so it’s what Steve thinks at this point
The Wings really have alot riding on this kid. I hope he lives up to potential

I think we might see him for a few games next year but really it’ll be 3 before he’s full time I think

Cossa has looked good. 3 shutouts in 8 playoff games so far. And Cross Hanas had a good playoffs including a hat trick but is now unfortunately done.
