    I received the Purple Restore Plus firm and love it. I love the feel of the grid and the coolness of the mattress. This IMO is the best purple mattress they ever made. Extremely happy with my purchase. I'm a combo sleeper and it works great for me. If you're a strict side sleeper I would recommend you get the soft version.

    Just ordered the Purple Restore Plus firm. I have the Purple Plus now and it's a bit too soft for me at 6' 220 lbs. I try to be a side sleeper but when I wake up, I'm always on my stomach. I tried the Restore firm also and that seemed like it also would work well for me. I decided on the Restore Plus firm because I like the idea of the zoned coils. I'll update when I receive it.

    Hi Mike, great video and comparison of these new mattresses! I had the old Purple Hybrid 3 previously and recently moved across the country and parted with it. Now I'm in the market for a new Purple mattress, but the product line has changed! I loved the Hybrid 3, I am primarily a side sleeper but occasionally will move to my back. I'm 6'3 and 180 lbs. I've been leaning towards the Restore Premier, but cannot seem to decide between the soft or firm option. What would you recommend? What would be closest to the Hybrid 3?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  6 місяців тому

      Hey there! In this case, we think the Restore Plus would likely be the better choice. This is the option that most closely aligns with the Purple 3, and has the same three inches of Purple Gel Grid. With regards to soft vs firm, my inclination here would probably be the firm based on your height and weight, though you might see if you can find one locally to get a sense of how these feel to you.

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  6 місяців тому

      Thanks for your kind words - glad this was helpful! I would actually say that the Purple Hybrid 3 would probably be more similar to the *Plus* Firm or Soft (technically somewhere right in between them, but overall a little closer to the Plus Soft). The Premier Firm is closer to the Purple 4 IMO. And the Premier Soft doesn't really have a close comparable in the previous line. I hope that's helpful.

    So I can't seem to get the mattresses I need to show up on your comparison tool, and I'm not having luck elsewhere either.
    We got the Purple Plus mattress, which we generally really like the feel of, but I'm mostly a back sleeper, and at 6'1" 240 lbs my butt sinks into it just enough to make my back hurt in the morning.
    Which of these six would you suggest to keep my side-sleeping wife happy, but offer a bit more support?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  8 місяців тому +2

      Hi there -- Thanks for your question. If you like the Purple Plus, I'd probably recommend taking a look at the Restore and Restore Plus lines rather than the Restore Premier. These 4 use a pocketed coil system with a two or three inch gel grid and will likely be a bit more supportive than the Purple Plus alone. At 6'1" and 240lbs you might be best served by one of the Firm options. Additionally, the RestorePlus has a zoned center third with firmer coils which are designed to support your hips and prevent that sinking you're describing.
      Here's a side-by-side comparison of the Purple Plus against the 4 Restore and Restore Plus models: www.goodbed.com/compare/?mod=purple-plus&mod=purple-restore-firm&mod=purple-restore-soft&mod=purple-restoreplus-firm&mod=purple-restoreplus-soft

    My girlfriend and i recently got the Purple Restore Soft. We never were able to try in store, but felt this would suit our needs best as combo sleepers. We have been sleeping well and have been enjoying this mattress. Our thinking was that this model was the best value for what we were getting. Do you see much benefit in going from the Restore to RestorePlus model? Enough of a benefit to equate for the price differences? Also, after adding on the mattress protector, we felt that added a tiny bit more firmness to our Restore Soft.

    • @michaelmagnuson
      @michaelmagnuson 8 місяців тому +1

      Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Yes, any protector that doesn't have as much stretch as the cover of this mattress is going to make the mattress feel a little firmer than it would without the protector. Re: upgrading, if you've already bought the Restore and are enjoying it, I don't see why you'd roll the dice on changing. I hope that's helpful.

    I’m a side sleeper and was debating between the plus soft, plus firm, and premier firm. All 3 are pretty similar. I had a purple 4 before though and there was too much sinkage for me with it so I wanted to error on the firm side this time and went with the plus firm. It still works for side sleeping and has really good support.

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi there -- Thanks for your comment, and glad to hear you're happy with your choice so far. I'd certainly agree that there is a lot of similarity between the 3 models you mentioned, but the Plus Firm is certainly the firmest of the bunch. The other 2 you mentioned are indeed very similar to the Purple 4. So since you were looking for something firmer than that, it sounds like you did indeed make the right call. Also, although the Plus Firm is a Medium-Firm, it maintains deeper than average cushioning, so it should indeed still work well for many side sleepers. I hope that's helpful.

    The million dollar question for me is would the plus or the premiere have a longer life before sagging issues? Is there strength in having a solid foam layer better and maybe take pressure off the springs in the long run or would individual pockets get less wear and tear somehow?

      @@JohnPowali I’m replacing my original Purple mattress under warranty for sagging which took 5 years. I ended up ordering the RestorePlus firm. I have a long question so please bare with me. I have a purple 3, but gave it to my grandma , I currently am sleeping on a sleep number but this bed is TERRIBLE, I hated all my tempur pedics but I went to the store and tried out some new beds and decided to go with a nectar hybrid premier copper. However the purple 4 was my favorite and I laid on it with my wife for over 30 minutes. If I don’t like the nectar I’m going to return it but I was going to ask is there any difference between the new purple and the hybrid premier 4? Is there any difference in build quality or feel? And which one should I buy if I go with purple ? Because they have the new rejuvenate beds as well. What are the differences? Sorry for this being long. Overall I’m basically wanting something like the purple 4 or better .

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  8 місяців тому

      So yep, there are some pretty significant differences. Generally the newer models use a bit less gel grid and a bit more foam. And while this might sound like a negative, we don't think it is. Instead, the foam and gel grid work to complement one another and lead to a balaned and more nuanced feel that we think is pretty comfortable. These also add zoned support on many models.
      As to which to buy - this is hard question to answer. These models are a bit different and there's not a parallel model in the new line, though you might consider the RestorePlus and the Rejuvenate?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  8 місяців тому

      How long have you had the Plus Firm? The two inches of transition foam in that is likely to soften somewhat during the break-in period. Otherwise, you could try the Plus Soft, though this might be too soft for you. The Premier Firm might also work, though this is a totally different coil/support unit, so it might feel very different than the Plus Firm you have currently.

      @@goodbed had it about three weeks

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  8 місяців тому

      @@omsbythedozem I might recommend giving it a bit more time then. Both the Plus Soft and the Premier Firm are Medium's on our softness spectrum, which means they could still work for a stomach sleeper (especially if you're on the lighter side), but would be on the soft end of what we'd recommend for stomach sleeping. The Premier Firm is slightly firmer of the two (so in this way, a bit better for stomach sleeping), but also has that unique coil system which is designed to provide more conformance, which is a benefit for many people but not really for stomach sleepers. Given that, I'd probably say the Plus Soft is your best backup option. Hope that's helpful.

    • @ThomasRodriguez

      I recommend considering wear and tear over years time. It may seem firm now... how will it feel in even just a year? Beds are so tricky. If Purple were smart they would make it so the premier has coil replacement kits so you can refresh certain areas over the years to account for this. In fact I am surprised with the idea of pocket coils this isnt a thing for all beds.

    Hello, I'm deciding between the Restore Plus Soft and Restore Plus Firm in Full. I currently have the Soft and wondering if the softness is creating aches and pains and discomfort in my body and lower back (wanted to add that the adjustable base may be causing these problems also as I had several other medium beds that had the same problem). I go to sleep mostly on my side but usually end up on my back. Heavyset at 245 lbs, 5'7" so what mattress would you advise? I've had the Restore Plus Soft for about a month but thinking to go with the Firm model. Any thoughts?

    • @goodbed
      @goodbed  7 місяців тому

      You might give the Soft just a bit more time to see if that helps, but if it doesn't then the Firm could be a good next step, yes. That firmer foam layer will provide just a bit more support.

    • @ThomasRodriguez
      @ThomasRodriguez 6 місяців тому

      As a bigger guy I would say aches and pains are often attributed to improper support. I am likely replacing my original purple with the RestorePlus firm so I get better pressure point relieve at the surface but stronger support below. My bed was pretty decent for the first few years but has essentially worn out at 5 years and sags in the middle now. I am hoping the introduction of coils in these hybrids will help maintain similar feel and support for more years. The good news is I am getting warranty credits toward the new bed.
