Astrius I’m a woman and I’d never in a million years choose to be buried with my best friend instead of my family no matter how much I love her. Xena is her soulmate and that goes far beyond friendship
@@xenondoro8573 Funny how this is almost never seriously argued when it's a het couple making these kinds of absolute declarations of devotion. Then it's just understood that of COURSE they're in love with each other in every sense. As Xena and Gabrielle are. Plus episodes like When Fates Collide exist to really just further mess up your "but it's still not romantic!" interpretation.

I still wonder how they managed to make this ship so romantic and all without ever giving away it explicitly on the screen. The actors, producers and writers walked on mighty thin ice and magic like this happened. Their relationship would have never been so powerful if they showed it explicitly. I'm in love with what they were able to do with these two

I saw this scene as very romantic, and am on the side that Xena and Gabrielle were in love with each other. After reading some comments though, I'm curios. Do straight women treat each other this way? Jealousy? Declarations of undying love? Romantic gifts? Turning life saving into a way to sensually kiss their friend? True love's kiss? Seems crazy to me that this would be considered platonic love.

E claramente depois de acabar os episódios ela continuaram amigas mais em todas as entrevistas se nota claro a linguagem corporal delas os olhares uma para outra havia sim alguma coisa que elas sentiam uma pela outra mais por causa daquele tempo elas afogaram isso lucy então não conseguia esconder isso veja nas entrevistas com as duas lucy sempre nervosa ao lado de renee e os olhares das duas não negam
Elas poderia ter ficado juntas além das telas mais o preconceito daquele década era ruim não é como em dia havia química entre essas duas alem das telas sim se eu fosse a renee teria ficado com a lucy sim

Φιλενάδα χωρίς παρεξήγηση δεν φαίνεται να γίνει κάποια στιγμή σύντομα, η λουσι ασχολείται με την νέα σειρουλα της και η ρεννε ξαφνικά θέλησε να κάνει στροφή στην ποιότητα και εμφανίζεται στο θέατρο , είναι και των δύο τα ενδιαφέροντα στραμμένα αλλού.
Η σειρά μπορεί να κάνει ένα ρεμπουτ αλλά χωρίς τιςς ίδιες, η λουσι το έχει πει ήδη ότι μπορεί να γίνει αλλά δεν θα κανει αυτή τον ρόλο αλλά ακόμη και πιο παλιά είχε πει κάτι "they can do whatever the heck they want to" είναι μια πλούσια σειρά δεν νομίζω ότι υπάρχει κάτι παραπάνω να ειπωθεί
Άσε που αν έχεις παρατηρήσει οτιδήποτε ριμέικ παλιάς σειράς έχει γίνει είναι μετριοτατο τόσο ελληνικό ή και ξένο οπότε καλύτερο είναι να μένουν αθικτες αυτές οι παλιές χρυσάφια σειρές

Nah this story can not be retold. It would have to be a new storyline.
All that upscaling AI can be used to de-age them and get them right back to where the show left off in 2001... and then they can fast forward to the future where they're older and the story can be renewed from there... mention this idea on other Xena videos and on social media, and people will start to ask for it, only it either needs to be HBO Max or Netflix. The rights-holders can't ignore the money jingling anymore, with image processing AI is as cheap as it is now. WE CAN GET THIS DONE Battle On!
@@iwillroam Good idea...come on, they can do many things, and fans will support it. We have been asking this for years, in a recent Lucy interview said, that someone told her a new idea for Xena that has nothing to do with the past, and she sees this person coming soon to do it.

@@EbonyCoulter6723 What an interesting perspective! I would not call their bond sisterly. Yes they are there for each other but more as a couple than as sisters. That is evident throughout the series but more obvious in Season 5 and 6.

Does The Ring trilogy where Xena proves to be Gabrielle's one true soulmate who can cross through a ring of fire that would burn anyone else to death in order to wake Gabrielle from an enchanted sleep with a classic fairy tale kiss on the mouth, really sound like a "sisters story" to you? Even with that Valkyrie lady running around who didn't deny being "in love with Xena's partner" and thought she was more worthy of Gabrielle's love than Xena, but Gabrielle was just like no I'm sorry I can't return your feelings, Xena is my destiny always?
