Thank you all for the support in 2024, and here is to 2025! Guess I have become a rollercoaster enthusiast. *Edit, the problem with the PC was very weird, was actually the RX 580 drawing power from the PCIE x16 slot, which wasn't sufficient to maintain stability from the B350 motherboard.... changing to a GTX 1060 6GB that runs off the PSU dedicated, fixed it. Testing the GPU on my benchmark system showed the RX 580 was perfectly fine....*
I modeled my PC business around yours. Anyone can use all the common brand new parts, but it's boring and easy. Hunting for the deals and rescuing older parts is where it's at. Gotta love used price performance!
This video and your comment are extremely inspirational, especially for the market of people who need their PCs for work and not just gaming. Honestly makes me want to get into the business… 😊
I think you're the only YT channel I've watched every single video from this year. Most of all I never had the feeling to watch a "hidden" commercial... even when hardware was sent to you by the manufacturer. This is pretty unique on UA-cam nowadays. Keep up the good work in 2025. Happy New Year! 😎
I love the used side of the channel but there's been so much coverage of new parts this year. I don't know what it is but I just don't get as much enjoyment out of watching Bryan talk about new parts.
@@MrBonk2011 on account of his great variety in videos and some testing that basically no one does? A sign of someone really willing to work HARD to prove what he feels is true in a scientific way. Happy new year Bryan. I went GPU shopping in Akihabara a few months ago and found a few deals. I wouldn't have known where to even start looking if it wasn't for your videos. Thanks a lot!
I think the OCCT CPU+ RAM test problems has to do with the ram or timings of the ram sticks. Maybe try to load the BIOS defaults and go from there. And still some errors, sometimes none errors, as long they aren't WHEA errors it should be ok. I see your channel is growing fast, you deserve it! Happy New Year! 🎆
You don't have to fully disassemble a founders edition 10 series card to change the paste. You can actually just remove the piece in front of the heatsink with 4 screws cover slides out then simply unscrew the heatsink from the main 4 screws that hold it in on the back and that slides out as well. A full disassembly though takes a long time with all the small screws and standoffs I agree.
Happy new years Bryan! Thanks for all the awesome content, been watching your channel for the last 5 years or so. Your channel and Elijah Lab gave me the courage and ambition this year to start flipping myself. Been in the hobby for the last 15 years building systems for myself and family and finally made the jump to do it on my local marketplace. Was a hell of an experience and my best word of advice for anyone else, be patient and know your product and target audience. I work full time, family, kids and a new baby in March so had limited time but ended selling 25 systems this year for $5k profit. Super happy with my first year doing this and looking forward to what next year has, probably going to take a bit of a break because this is a HUSTLE and takes time and effort not only building the systems and selling them but finding those awesome sweet deals. Happy new years and best of luck next year!
Deals on used case's are just crazy over here in Japan for the last few months. I like all the cases you grabbed this month. I will be me looking forward to how flips go.
Man I wish there was more of a market in general for budget PCs in my area as I tend to have more fun building them. I’ve always been a fan of seeing what a pc can do even several years later with used parts

I feel like a great value PC would be a "low-end" build for 2025. Something like a used 5800x3D (AUD $200) and RX-6800 (AUD $250), with 16GB DDR4 and a 1TB nVme (AUD $250), and stuffed into a decent motherboard, case and psu (AUD $100). Total for around AUD $800 (roughly USD $500). Or step it up to a "mid-range" build for 2025. Such as 7700X (AUD $300), and RX-6950XT (AUD $500), with 32GB DDR5 and 1TB nVme (AUD $350), stuffed into a good motherboard, psu, and case (AUD $250). Total for around AUD $1100 (or roughly USD $700 equivalent). For the high-end, not sure I would consider going used. Your budget should be around USD $1500 or AUD $2400. And I would make a few decisions for future upgrade-ability.
Happy new year's Brian! I got some killer deals on used GPU's this past summer (the best two were a $200 USD 3080 in great shape and an 8700k with a 2080 system that just needed a new cooler for $100), but it's been downright terrible lately. (It's winter here... please send those long days back my way when you're done) Cheers to the new year and to the "madman" deals that await. btw I pick the 1080 too but I'm not a big "fan" of those blower cards.
Just sold my first FB Marketplace flip today. Had it listed since about October & unfortunately sold it at a loss but the main reason I built it was to learn how to build it in the first place. I was having the same worry and my lot of rigs got completely wiped. I had alot of messages the day after Christmas with people that got Christmas money and wanted a pc but I had sold everything.
Even with Christmas I still only saw low end and budget banger PCs sell here. Market is just too rough right now. $500usd and under seams to be the only things moving.
Yea slow q1 still tittering on the margin sucking black hole of prior gen deflationary price spiral. Q1 TU/GA and maybe even some Ada secondary returns, certainly TU/GA returning more data soon. Baked Beans, Pinto boiled in ham hock gelatin from the holiday Ham with what every meat off the ankle or butt bone saved for adding to the beans when baking. Mix into beans chopped red or white onion, molasses, brown sugar, some apple cider vinegar to taste and this is the secret to a bit of tang in the flavor, some tomato sauce can be diced but just the sauce, put in the ham hock meat scraps and MIX, put in backing pan. Add water to cover the beans in the molasses + brown sugar concoction. I prefer adding the water instead of more tomato it's brown sugar beans and all that needs to glaze up a bit. You can replace the water with diced tomatoes for the necessary liquid content but a couple small cans of tomato sauce (that is not pizza sauce of catsup) with the water add as the major liquid delivers the molasses sugar backed beans. Stir occasionally when baking not to candy the top layer which needs to be stirred back in through the baking process. Do not over bake because some liquidity comes in handy for secondary re-heating. mb

So, my anti-virus updated last week, and it now absolutely refuses to let me access vip-scdkeys... like, it wrote an entry into Windows firewall as well as it's own firewall to block it. Which is annoying because I use them every time I need a key.
You know, the 20 and 30 RTX series GPUs are getting cheaper these days. Even though we're heading to 2025. Whenever I decide to change GPUs, I just need to do my research on the compatibility of the Intel i5 8600 and the GPUs. I just need to find a cheap 20-series GPU that should work for the i5 8600. Can you give me some recommendations if possible?

I was having the same worry and my lot of rigs got completely wiped. I had alot of messages the day after Christmas with people that got Christmas money and wanted a pc but I had sold everything.
I closed this year with buying a Ryzen 5900HX laptop with RTX 3080 for less than $300. I'm just so happy that it's not a dud
Even with Christmas I still only saw low end and budget banger PCs sell here. Market is just too rough right now. $500usd and under seams to be the only things moving.
Gtx 1060 6gb absolute budget king!
case deal was a score!!!! That green Thermaltake tower 300 is worth more than you paid for the rest. Its a $200 Aus case
A collectors Item for sure.
@@Willbme4EVA Someday. You can buy them new still. It only came into the market last year. And that green color? They have sold out of twice already.
Do not over bake because some liquidity comes in handy for secondary re-heating. mb
Happy 2025 Bryan 🎉
Thanks a lot for all the content mate. Stay true to yourself. See you in the next vids ;)
Can anyone recommend a cleaning/lubricating fluid available in America? The product Tech Yes uses isn't available here. I'm not sure what to use.
I think he is using WD40.
@davidg2731 he does have a habit of saying that but did almost an entire video on how he used WD40 as a kid and he really doesn't actually use WD40 as it would be terrible for electronics.
Just a habit of speech.
Blower cards always run hot. I have 7 x EVGA FTW3 1080ti’s and they are monsters. Run very cool. paid 150 each. Teardown……..new pads…..repaste.
Can you give me some recommendations if possible?
happy new year
What were you spraying on that video card in the very beginning?
