      Aida Beyene she’s only tough on her students so they have what it takes to become professional dancers as they all want to be. The dance industry is competitive and her students have a huge advantage because of the standards she has. In a professional dance audition if you can’t repeat an entire routine after seeing it once, you’re out. If you can’t stand out from a room of 100, you’re out. She’s preparing them for the cut throat, don’t care about you tiny dance industry thousands of people are fighting to be a part of.

      @@blairjr2570 except there are plenty of other dance teachers with kids in the industry not acting or doing what abby did to kids. Plus for the fact it is indeed a show, however she goes to far when she talks about things to the kids, that don't make kids better dancers at all. The kids on dance moms now want exposure. Nothing wrong with that hopefully people read those contracts better, before signing them, including Abby.

      Yuri Katsuki You really don’t need to repeat yourself. Nobody said she didn’t do those things. Wanting her to recover doesn’t mean we condone what she’s done in the past. So you lack empathy good for you but you’re not gonna tell us how to feel about another human being going through that.

    • @yurikatsuki5130
      @yurikatsuki5130 4 роки тому +1

      January Babe 1. I'm not telling you how to feel. 2. I don't lack empathy 3. If an emotional abuser gets cancer, are a lot of people gonna feel empathy for them? she is an emotional abuser to children, most people wouldn't empathize with her since she's done such a thing, should people be more forgiving? Thats another argument.

    My child was amazing at tennis. She started practicing the sport with a screaming coach. She learned. She was great! However, she would be defeated by her self doubt.
    I introduced her to another coach who only communicated when she did what was correct. He would say, “Repeat what you just did.” They would do the same stroke over and over. It became part of her muscle memory. Most times he would just clap with his racquet. Her mind quieted and confidence grew.
    RIP Coach Bobby McKee.

    Some act as though Abby Lee Miller is simply being a diva about this experience but she's not. This happening all over the United States to inmates, those famous and those not famous. Prisoners being treated worse than animals are allowed to be treated and it's wrong! Abby is not a criminal. Did she break the law? Yes. That doesn't make what happened to her in prison okay. And I agree with her. What was the point, what is the point of putting people behind bars that society doesn't need protection from?! Why are we letting people sit around in prison when they should be out paying for their crimes with work! Work with community service, spending their money on those less fortunate, having to live a life that is not that of a celebrity but of one that is responsible for their actions. Abby Miller always agreed that she was guilty but what good did her time in prison do anyone? She was punished illegally by prison staff, not believed when she said her back hurt and missed early detection for cancer because of this. She can't walk! I think justice has been served. But maybe it could have been served by her actually doing time by spending her time working for free. Not getting bullied around a federal prison.

      McKenzie hence why the comment said "danger to society" yes it's understandable what happened was against the law but it does not make sending Abby to prison and be abused justifiable for an act that does not post a threat to society - unlike murderers which in that case do need to be put behind bars. Just like what others said, alternatives can be given to those who are in similar situations like Abby, perhaps community service or a fine?

These mega corporations are corrupt, buy political favor and are not being held accountable for their unethical and inhumane treatment of prisoners. These state sponsored, "businesses" warehouse prisoners for unheard of years and ignore State and federal regulations and laws.. They over-ride parole boards so they can keep the cash flowing into their corporations and rarely do even deserving inmates get a second opportunity at life. They sustain their mass incarceration and money faucets because they are paid per day by the state or fed on a per-inmate basis. (The more humans beings they can cram into their prisons at the lowest cost, the more money they make. They spend next to nothing on rehab, decent food, or health for ordinary human needs. Rachel is absolutely correct, the prisoners are treated worse than animals. They are disrespected, humiliated, dominated intimidated and sometimes even tortured. They are severely overcrowded, sometimes up to 4 or 5 per tiny cell with minimal space designed for 2. You can imagine the riots, chaos, injuries and death suffered by hundreds of prisoners per year, because conditions, inhumane treatment and hopelessness, drives inmates to violent mental and physical limits of madness from being warehoused, abused both mentally and physically around the clock for years upon years, with nothing constructive whatsoever to do. Prison is no bowl of cherries even under regulated and humane circumstances...but the privatization of mass incarceration may very correctly be called modern-day slavery. Please believe me Folks, research, statistics and interviews show all these facts to be true! These evil vile corporation and those who operate participate and control the Private Prison scenario have monetized human misery and they have become so big, powerful, rich and backed by paid off politicians that they ignore and thumb their noses at the thousands of lawsuits filed by helpless inmate families while continuing to commit these atrocities without penalty, regulation or conscience. Just some FYI, on the subject.

    Spending time in jail for breaking the law, and suffering from cancer, SHOULD have given this woman time to reflect on her past life, on her incessant, determined BULLYING of little girls, and on the obvious JOY she got in making the kids and their mothers miserable through her nasty, dictatorial and unfair attitudes and actions. From what I saw over a few years, she would probably benefit from professional counselling.

    It’s so common for the staff of a jail or prison to mistreat you. They know your incarcerated and that you rely on them to bring you soap, toilet paper, tampons/pads etc..I can’t even tell you how many times girls would be on their period and the guards refuse to bring you a pad and if by chance they do you can’t use it cause they don’t give you underwear to stick it to. They will make you wait for hours to get a roll of toilet paper and if you ask again they won’t bring it at all (most of the time they don’t) eventually we made a schedule of which guards were going to be working on what day and would have to ask the few nice ones for things like that. They gave us spoiled juice and they knew it and didn’t bring us no drink. The gas for the kitchen went out and they fed us sandwiches 3 times a day for 3 days and if they don’t like you and your lawyer comes to see you they won’t let you they will turn them away. It’s wrong and illegal nobody was in trouble to not be able to get a visit from their lawyer. The guards are rude and disrespectful. Oh and good luck with the nurses. They don’t care. I got food poisoning and the night guard told her when the nurse came in how sick I was and She waited 6 hours before she checked on me and then refused to give me something for nausea. I started crying because she told me that morning when she passed out meds to the block she would come straight back and get me (yeah 6 hours later) when I said please you promised you would help me she said oh well and then told the girl who has seizures that she got her medical files from her lawyer (because she refused to treat her) and she needed to go through it to receive her meds. (That’s the 4th time the girl got brought down for having seizures And the 3rd time she had her medical files sent to the nurse) She said what if I have a seizure and die and the nurse said you should have thought about that before you came to jail! I just want people to be aware of the mistreatment from the staff. It’s a abuse of power

    I've always liked Abby. She's tough, she's human and she's a reflection of most all of us who approach life like a buzz saw and hide our tears. The pillars in her life are of her own making, as well as the tragedies. Abby says what she thinks, she's not afraid of drama. She is extremely creative as an artist and teacher. She is highly demanding because she knows fulfilling potential requires unrelenting demand. She believes her strict and inflexible expectations are a huge part of doing her job well. Abby creates her life with a flamboyant wide-stroke paintbrush and doesn't care what others think about it or how she is judged. I suspect Abby keeps a very strong loving, sweet, empathic side of her persona well hidden, because like many of us, the pain in her life has taught her to so. Take a deeper look Folks, because IMHO there seems to be much more diversity to Abby Lee Miller's iron-clad character than meets the eye. She has many adjuncts to her character, many which I respect. And the rest?...maybe we should all do a quick historical evaluation of our own lives and character which might enable us to view Abby Lee Miller with more tolerant and understanding eyes!

    Our prison systems are so fucked up. I’m really glad she can be another advocate for prison reform. Anyone can make a split second mistake that could land them there for years, but it doesn’t mean you’re a horrible person that should be treated like a serial killer or rapist. We all make mistakes. I agree with her, prisons should be held for the worst of the worst. Our prisons are overpopulated with non violent offenders, people who have serious mental disorders, & drug addicts. How can we expect a drug addict to get clean in a miserable place filled with other drug addicts with nothing but time in a place riddled with drugs!? These people need serious help not prison.
    I also agree with her that a lot of these peoples time would be so much better served doing some sort of community service programs. Not until I really started doing research & educating myself, did I find out that keeping people in cages & expecting some kind of “reform” or “rehabilitation” is ridiculous. Let’s start some real treatment & alternative programs for these people. I’m really glad she’s shedding a light on the treatment that happens in there. Yeaaa I know what some of you might be thinking.. 💭 they broke the law they deserve it 💭 Well some people believe it or not are actually innocent, some have committed small, non violent crimes, some just made one small mistake, & some are in there for just a PLANT 🌱 that’s now legal in multiple states... does that mean they should be treated completely inhumane; worse than animals!? I don’t think so. In some female prisons, you aren’t even given any female hygiene products, so you have to BUY your tampons or pads. That’s just cruel considering most people in prison don’t have the 14$ it costs for a box of just 10*** tampons from the commissary.
