Recently started up again playing MGSV. I've NEVER seen an energy shield before. I'm shocked and baffled. Been trying to build my base backup and finally got to the point where my team is successfully defending 5 out of every 10 infiltrations. Been seeing players with 10k+ infiltrations under their belt! Didn't even think people would still be playing this.
i have literally never seen a game's online mode be so dead that fucking CERTAIN UA-cam COMMENTERS can identify CERTAIN PLAYER INTERACTION. im not complaining though, this game is fun
I’m sorry, how did he not die from getting stabbed in the NECK?! Also it’s funny seeing this since, as a PC player, nobody invades each others FOBs since we’re all independently using mods so we don’t want to get banned
I believe its a utility item that tps you back some time if you get fultoned, killed, or anything like that. one time use and can be manually activated or activates automatically under conditions like I said. and yeah as a new player I found fob to be boring. would love a mod that lets you better use your combat unit like deploying them as soldiers in the campaign map to take over a place to make a literal fob in the map. that'd be pretty cool or just to help on missions. hell we already can designate the security team to be lethal or non lethal so it wouldn't be much different for the combat unit. just my idea though.
@@dyboszek8057 yeah I played for like 3 months on pc and never got invaded once even after invading plenty of others and getting spotted so they could retaliate eventually.
@@dyboszek8057 You should try to enter in Security Challenge Mod and steal Nukes, and the you will have some fun. Remember disabling mods so you don't lose your FP score (lite ban).
Been playing it on PS4 and it's still up and running -- my FOB actually got raided literally a few days ago. Don't know about PC tho, but if the servers are still up, there's always activity.
Now that the game is basically dead in console, it's rare for someone to attack you, let alone while you are online. The exception to this rule is having a nuke tho, guaranteed attack within 15 seconds
@@user-cc32vcg811 yep. I play almost everyday and have been for a bit over a year and i've only been attacked once and that was after a had made a nuke. I didnt even have time to disarm it / dispose of it
Yeah tbh I stopped playing this game when someone invaded my FOB and then proceeded to stun lock me for 20 minutes straight with HoJ. It's not particularly fun to lose all of your stuff because someone who plays it too much decides to mess with you. Especially annoying because he had multiple 'extra lives' due to something that meant that me taking him out somehow with my low tier gear meant nothing :(

I think there was a group of people working together because I tried (and failed badly) to invade someone's max level FOB base then for about a week solid as vengeance they invaded my FOBs as soon as the blockade got lifted and by a few different people, all sporting top tier gear. TBH I think they would have kept invading for longer but I quit playing after that.
If you go the nukes tab in the fob missions, manage to find a base, manage to find a base that actually has a nuke icon along the plataform count, and manage to be the first player to click on it and enter the mission, and manage to steal it, you basically guaranteed youself to have a player hit the x button the second after the server got updated. Nukes, at least on ps4, get stolen so fast that sometimes bases without nukes will appear because they lost it before the server could update to you
its an item. Like most (maybe all) fob items you can get them from events. There are events in mgsv and you can get points and purchase stuff, even blueprints for R&D stuff
I think when you finished the game. You click on the Change character button in the sorte menu or something and you can plau as the along with motherbase staff

Also it doesn't really seem "fair", for lack of a better word, that the invader took you out 3 times in a row and you took him out only once and that resulted in a successful defense, lol. You're still 1 to 3, meaning you've effectively won with 25% killrate, which is like bullshit xD
I mean in a way, he is attacking you at your home base. So I could see where he came in alone, whereas you're literally at your Main HQ. He only has so much, but you have everything

i've put 40 hours into this game in the past 3 weeks on pc, i have 43% completion and still no one invaded my fob lol, only time will tell

I dealt with two Pros but was unable to defend the FOB. One of the downsides of this base is that if you are offline one can invade you at any moment.
