Great video., Every time I had gone to the beach ,with my family, my mom used to give us tiamin ( vitamin b12), to create some body odor to keep mosquitoes, gnats and noseems away it does work. Have you seen bushmasters? In Costa Rica are called Matabuey.
Hola from Playa Flamingo. One more to note. Sand fleas. Especially depending on the beach. Some people mistake these bites for mosquitos when they start itching late the same night or overnight after a nice evening watching the sunset at the beach. But if it's down around your ankles... it's sand fleas. Repellent can help with these. As can wearing socks and shoes if you aren't actually getting wet. Or standing on a beach towel or blanket.
@@TheDufresnes Good to know. I haven't noticed them in Tama, Flamingo or Conchal. But definitely the stretch of Brasilito away from the town where there is a tree line. They can eat up your ankles at sunset for sure.
Great video as usual. We've been in Samara for about a month and are actually very pleasantly surprised with the lack of bugs/mosquitoes/spiders/scorpions here. 👍🏼
Oh my that brings back memories, years ago, wasn’t as lucky as your son , had left a towel outside of shower and didn’t check , scorpion in towel got me right on the b....really painful for 20 minutes or so but managed to play the sympathy card with my wife for a great 24 hours. 🤗
Hi Chris, Norm y Linda here from B.C. / We are home for the 1st Winter in 30 years but we are already booked to fly to Mexico in December (Huatulco for 1 month and then Playa del Carmen for 2) Just maybe next year it will be a return to Costa Rica for a month or two.
You need to add " check inside your cocktail before you drink it if you set it down". Michelle found a 3" live gecko in her cocktail last night while we were watching tv. Talk about freaking out 😂
Great tips! It’s great to know what type of creatures to expect. We’re moving to Costa Rica and June. Keep the tips coming!
Please never ever stop making videos. Your channel is absolutely amazing. God Bless you guys!
Thanks, God bless
