Love your work for Vietnamese Cuisine Luke but Thao Dien isn't real Saigon.
yeah, he went to the most gentrified part of the city
Agree. Isn’t district 1, Pham Ngo Lau and the Cho Benh Thanh the real Saigon? I have never heard of this place he’s at.
Plenty of areas in Thảo Điền aren’t gentrified. Hang out on Quoc Huong or Cho Thảo Điền, and you’d know.
4:41 wow, indigenous background mixed with Italian, never heard of. Very interesting? And he’s based himself in one of the biggest cities in the world. Shouldn’t he be in the bush outback somewhere? How odd.
Nice work, Luke!! Hopefully, travelling to Vietnam next year and really looking forward to it.
11:30 sorry, but a fine dining Restaurant like this will not last when you have cheap delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine at the doorstep! The Vietnamese won’t appreciate this, nor can they afford it. Only for wealthy and tourists! I rather have a broken rice or pho thanks.
Can we please get a list of the places you visited with location 😋
1 of my favourite dishes!
before 9am then the one just outside of Alley 47 (Hem 47) is a lot better than this place :D But they only sell broken rice until 9am
