The director has been busy with the Dune movies but they’re taking time away from it to let the characters age and he said he wants to get their creative projects done so it could be in the works. Josh Brolin was also in the dune movies too so I’m sure him and Denis have similar availability
At 09:23, the criticized move is actually Benicio's character bracing out with his forefinger and holding down the trigger to allow recoil to drive the gun back and then the finger pressure to reset the trigger; kind of like a predecessor to the FRT on a pistol
Pistol bumpfire baby! It's an iconic Benicio camera shot, so they used it again... Sadly with blanks it's probably actually slower than just pulling the trigger 🤣 although it does work from the hip with just right posturing... although not reliably or accurate... the point of the rapid bullet trigger is that it isn't meant to look professional but from a rival cartel. it's meant to look sloppy with random bullet impacts. cartels are known to go all out and be ruthless but also sloppy.
GI Issued Berettas are not pieces of shit. They have had hundreds of thousands of rounds ran through them . You know as well as I do,what we were issued had not been kept up to standard as far as cleaning and or changing out parts. Those Berettas were rode hard and put up wet. They still function pretty decent considering the insane amount of wear and tear that was on them.
Yeah I've got a Beretta and it's an excellent pistol but it's reputation is kinda ruined by soldiers because they were issued old worn out pistols and then go about preaching how shit they are, I've got a lot of respect for military personnel but more often than not they are not nearly as educated on arms as they think they are and as a result they give some things a bad name and others are put on a pedestal like all the vets I've met who claim AKs are some indestructible piece of slav magic and so forth.

There's an interview with the writer of these two movies and even though it's called Sicario 2 it's actually a stand alone movie. The writer wrote two scripts for the first movie and the studio bought both. Nothing in the first movie matters in the second.
@FNGAcademy This movie isn't technically a sequel to the first film. It's kind of like an anthology. So it's the same characters in the same broader setting but with a different story. In other words, this film is a reset in the "Sicario universe": like the first film never happened. That may help remove the confusion about ROE differences between both films.

Hey Guys, Just found your channel and really enjoy the different persepctive of these movies based on your experience. I have a couple of suggestions for movies you might find interesting to review: - Close (2019) with Noomi Rapace - I thought this was an interesting movie from the perspective of a female close protection specialist. Some of the scenarios seemed quite believable, considering a physically smaller / weaker woman acting as protection, but would be interested in your opinion. - Wrath Of Man (2021) with Jason Statham - from the perspective of a criminal out for revenge for the death of his son. I would be interested in your view on the big shootout scene later in the movie. Anyway, keep up the good work!
I’d love to see them breakdown hacksaw ridge and we were soldiers. Both movies directed by Mel Gibson. Those episodes of beers and breakdowns would be great. Another movie that would be great for them to do would be Fury with Brad Pitt.

they do make thermal sights that can see through dust in daylight. Granted in my day they were mounted on TANKS, but I am sure they have advanced thermal optics since the 90s.
Learnt a lot from this video! Although I think they're missing the point that this isn't a direct sequel. It's more of an alternate timeline to the first film. So Brolin & his team aren't having all their resources taken away from them. Instead they are being brought down a different path to the first movie, with less direct government oversight

You guys should react to the 2018 movie 'operation red sea'. It's a foreign action movie depicting the true story of a Chinese special forces team that is sent into yemen to evacuate chinese citizens in 2015. It's probably the best foreign war film I have seen. Solid, relentless action and realistic shootouts. Its like a chinese black hawk down. You guys would love it.
Also, T-34 another foreign film about the eastern front of world war 2. Fury, Hacksaw Ridge, We were soldiers and the 2012 Dredd movie would also fit what you guys do on this channel. As a fellow army veteran, I would love to hear your thoughts on these films.
In my experience, that bump fire method is specifically effective with a M9/92F. You can empty a 17 round mag in about a second. Hitting something is more subjective.
I'm actually feel saddened buck has the standard military opinion on the beretta 92 lol, like ik he is a standard military dude, so it makes sense, nothing wrong with that, but it's 2022, i, on god thought people had evolved out of that opinion by now when everyone after getting out realized that it's just because their 92s were beat to shit after 20 years of abuse and not because they're bad pistols, military didn't pick them for no reason, i don't think they're any better or worse than glocks or anything, just that glocks would also fail if subjected to the same abuse, and dudes will be saying the same shit about the sig pistols in 20 years too when they get beat to death and stop working lol. Let's say I've used all 3 i just listed a lot and as long as they've been well-taken care of, I've never had a problem with any of these brands tbh, but you can't beat the 92s looks and metal frame, that's for sure.
I got to play around with a set of white phosphorus quad tubes a few years back, absolutely loved them, they were an Air Force TAC-P’s who let me check them out. I’d sell a kidney for a set of my own.

I enjoyed the evolution of Benicio and Brolin's characters.
Well they play different characters that are slightly the same in the second movie.
The second movie isn't a sequel to the first
@@Doman3500 not sure where you got that.
They literally are the same characters.
@@Daddy53751 same characters but this is not a sequel l. The director stated it's basically a parallel universe
@@charliec9720 trippy,
But that’s actually a pretty interesting take. I would have never thought to play it that way.
You mean character development?
We need another Sicario movie, they are too awesome
We'll have it by 2026 hopefully.

🤩
But its the Benicio move, so it feels pretty awesome 🤫
Fucking someone with a half a brain around here, jesus. He’s bump firing! Once again, just cause you’re former mil doesn’t make you an expert in all things shooting/weapons
The point of the scene was to make it look sloppy like a gang shootout. That’s why he shot it like that
I actually tried the finger bump Beretta 92, sometimes it will catch just right and cause a burst-full auto fire.
Great video, brother. I was hoping you would've shown the part where BD had the cartel guys driving up on his left side, on the road, and he pitched the grenade into the passenger side window, while being shot at. I thought that scene was priceless! Keep these videos coming, brother!
So from what the director said is the 2nd movie is actually a different universe than the first movie, even though it uses the same main characters. I think he also said he wanted to continue the story from the 2nd movies story line
So it's like an MCU kind of thing?
Hm never heard Denis say that. You sure he didn’t just mean that it’s not directly connected to the first one?
Suggestion for the next movie you guys review/react to: SPARTAN (2004) The first 10 minutes looks like some kind of specialized Army training
100% on the mono viz nods. Used to do a lot of night ops. One night, we're on patrol through some farmland. Come up to this huge stretch of just darkness. We had to cross it and even with nvgs, could make out any details to it's depth or anything. I'm first down, turns out it's an irrigation ditch.(I completely eat shit) It's 6-61/2 ft deep and I was completely covered in mud the rest of the night.
Buck is not letting go that water board scene from the first one or his distaste for Emily Blunt🤣🤣. Great review as always!
oh man, yall skipped over my favorite part of the movie, the drone strike. where Mat is in the room with that pirate. he shows him a drone feed of his brother's house and pirate thought he was bluffing be hes like "no rules today sport, only orders" *picks up sat phone* "send it" Splash, over! then moves to the next feed for pirate's next brother.
You have a big family and sooner or later I'm going to kill someone you do care about.
"You're going to be up there with Jesus and being like what, what, was that noise" 😂
Will 100% watch this after my workout
Edit: I'm back now time to enjoy🇺🇲
As you should
the point of the rapid bullet trigger is that it isn't meant to look professional but from a rival cartel. it's meant to look sloppy with random bullet impacts. cartels are known to go all out and be ruthless but also sloppy.
The side conversation about the word straw in spanish killed me! This channel literally has everything, it's the total package 🤣
@@taylorbennion3706 I agree 100%. I’m a Veteran of Eight Years, was in the ARMY MOS 12B / SAPPER. We trained with the platform and most were wore out but still functioned. As well, you would be surprised how much the Soldiers did not know and understand about firearm’s in general. That even goes for Police in the Civilian world. They only will trash something because they either heard a couple others say something and or do not know how to properly handle and operate the firearms in hand.
@@punisher3167 yup people have a tendency of regurgitating things they've heard without really knowing the why. I wonder what people will be saying about the new Sig down the line.
Thanks for the reply Have a good one man
😂 You're gonna be up there talkin to Jesus like what was that noise. That was hilarious!
Giggling...this feels like Mystery Science Theater 3k!
Love it!
I took it as the US government is footing the bill through black budget, and he's utilizing a PMC to get what he needs to do the stuff. PMCs are more than just security, and ex-military/SF, but to work security in a lot of them you have to have that background. That's just how I took the dinner scene.
Thanks for your service and the laughs.
26:00 - 26:35 made me die laughing / the thought gots this man rock solid 🤣
"benicio del toro is such a beast" then special waterboarding technique sound effects...noooo man! lol subbed
You guys should react to end of watch
A good tip for clearing under nods is to keep them angled up a bit to be able to see under them. Helps with light saturation. All you gotta do is look down enough to look through the tubes ;)
i know they say that alejandro is dead and that it would be impossible, bu there was a story of a scout with the british empire, a local, on guadal canal who volunteered to scout for the first marine division. He was tied to a tree by a japanese patrol, bayoneted 3 times in the torso, and had his throat slashed before they left him for dead. he hobbled and crawled 3 miles to friendly lines, informed the CO of the incoming attack and survived the entire ordeal. saving thousands of marine lives. Sometimes real life is more unbeleivable then hollywood.
There's an interview with the writer of these two movies and even though it's called Sicario 2 it's actually a stand alone movie. The writer wrote two scripts for the first movie and the studio bought both. Nothing in the first movie matters in the second.
when you mocked the trigger pulling with your pistol i haven't laughed so hard in forever. that was comedy gold.
I love these breakdowns! Keep them coming!
Consider adding the Substitute. Gotta love Tom Berringer!
Bote from Queen of the South is one of my all time characters in a show. He is such a badass. Must watch for anyone that hasn't
We need a supercut of Buck's sound FX at this point 🤣
Buck does a good job explaining vehicle movements and interdiction and ambushes
Can you review the contractor? I think you’d appreciate the scenes where they actually slice the pie and check corners. Looks like they had good advisors working with them on room clears.
You may not enjoy their breakdown.....it sucks
@@Paul0580 yeah I watched their breakdown. The movie wasn't very good in my opinion but I thought the tactical portion was.
i enjoy these guys review and thorough tear down of every scene then described thru there real first hand experiences plus these guys are super cool as well. i love it. u guys are the real legends
If I remember correctly the director said that the two movies are in different universes
No this movie takes place before the first one
Yeah, they are in two different universes per the director of 2.
Please review the Devil wear Prada. 🙏. Nothing to do with being a Green Beret but it would be hillarious 🤣
😂😂😂😂
And she speaks in her hot British accent
I will have to say, I thought Buck was going to rip apart the fact that the humvee’s were not up armored. They were normal. When I saw the movie. I laughed how the 240’s were being stopped by 1/4” glass.
The first movie was about quietly manipulating the drug trade. This one is about dealing with a actual threat after a terrorist attack.
I had watch the first movie but not the second; after this review; I definitely will take a look at it.
I will highly recommend 2007 ELITE SQUAD. it is a Brazilian movie about Rio the Janeiro Police Special Operations Brigade or BOPE. a lot of police corruption scenes an urban combat in the fabellas. You will like this one
oh thats a badass movie the second one is good too in spanich its called tropa de elite
Keep in mind that sicario 2 isn't a sequel
Tropa de Elite was pretty brutal if i remember correctly. BOPE is no joke and favela fighting looks like an absolute Nightmare for all involved.
I always love seeing the mountains of Texas near the southern border.
On next vid, if havent already, can go over how to deal with bugs? Like mosquitos, gnats, flies, and other insects while out on patrol, or camping out, or setting up new barracks? Does everyone have to carry bug spray, or is there some "natural way" to prevent the bugs from swarming you?
If you can find it, Kajaki (called Kilo Two Bravo in North America) is a good watch. True story of British Paras in 2004 Kajaki Dam Helmand get trapped in a minefield. By the time a US Blackhawk lifted them out 4 mines has exploded leaving 8 wounded.
Good review. Liked second better than the first.
Love it like always big dog. Tell Abel his BMW is sweet btw. Does it match his nail polish? Lmao
Completely agreed shooting under nods is awkward AF if not trained. We had the pvs7s at first then to pvs14 then 31s. Fell on my face trying to step up on a ladder with the 7s. 😂🤣
Great review boy's! 🏴🤘🏼
Yeah the single lense sucks but it's really good for going from light to dark. The double lense nvg makes you blind for a solid minute.
The 14s also fucking move all the time and adjusting them is a C U next Tuesday in a rapid change of environment.
In infantry OSUT, during our final FTX, I fell face first into one of our mortar pits, thinking the ground was level wearing pvs7.
@@rtm27 lmao what year you go through?
@@austinduncan5065 1993. We Were testing out a strap that went over your helmet which had a swivel and clasp that held your nods that you could swing it up out of your way.
Oh my gosh, I'm laughing again! You guys are great!
You know what Buck? I think you’re the shit for just being yourself on screen. Nothing against any other operator as a content creator but they’re so serious in their dialogue that you forget they’re just people. You just seem like some regular person and it convinces me that i can also be an operator while still being normal.
if you're bitching about shit like that i don't think being an 'operator' is for you anyway Lmao
Loved your breakdown of these two movies. 2 of my favs. Awesome to hear your SF perspective breakdown. Bravo fellas!🍻
Not enough beers in this one fellas. Y'all need to tighten up.
Love it! Great breakdown of both Sicario movies guys. Really enjoyed your take on these iconic films. I especially liked how you pointed out the Hollywood vs reality shots. Quite an education for me.
Is there a lot of Mexican/Mexican-Americans/Hispanics in the SF
They're are a few. During my time I would say it was probably around 15-18%
Sicario 2 isn't a strict sequel per se, but more of a semi-remake.
Gotta give it up to the amazing writer that Taylor Sheridan is. The man has an insane track record and his show Yellowstone is insanely good!
Remember that ending scene from the movie LIFE when that lady in the space pod was spinning out of control into space? This ending theme was in that movie too.
Hey Guys,
Just found your channel and really enjoy the different persepctive of these movies based on your experience.
I have a couple of suggestions for movies you might find interesting to review:
- Close (2019) with Noomi Rapace - I thought this was an interesting movie from the perspective of a female close protection specialist.
26:58 Tell me you've never done a helo vehicle interdiction without telling me you've never done a helo vehicle interdiction
Lol are you talking about his lame ass story? Lol I knew it was hogwash
@@ChrisMaxCisneros Yea. He has no idea what he's talking about
I’d love to see them breakdown hacksaw ridge and we were soldiers. Both movies directed by Mel Gibson. Those episodes of beers and breakdowns would be great. Another movie that would be great for them to do would be Fury with Brad Pitt.
Needed this!
Since he was a cop for two years you guys need to react to THE ROOKIE on ABC I know he would have some funny shit to say about that, or SWAT on CBS please
OH YES, especially because both of those shows don't use real weapons but airsoft guns
they do make thermal sights that can see through dust in daylight. Granted in my day they were mounted on TANKS, but I am sure they have advanced thermal optics since the 90s.
But i don't get how they could work
Learnt a lot from this video! Although I think they're missing the point that this isn't a direct sequel. It's more of an alternate timeline to the first film. So Brolin & his team aren't having all their resources taken away from them. Instead they are being brought down a different path to the first movie, with less direct government oversight
The ending he was like I’m dead when he saw alejandro lol
I mean, I feel like the character in the restaurant is an “Erik Prince” - type character whom would, can and maybe does do things like this. So it doesn’t seem that far out of wack. But I’m just a dumb dude.
Commenting early because I've been waiting for you to react to this one, particularly wanted to get your opinion on the DA mission in Somalia.
I always assumed he did that stupid pistol trick to make it look less professional...like he as using a machine pistol instead of professional precision shooting...
Y'all should review Hamburger Hill
I just like how Buck is talking about how annoying she is in sicario but knowing how badass she can be in Edge of Tomorrow
At 9:00. Omg. Buck thinking like Kate in the first movie. Thinking one dimensional and not outside the box.
Hitting something is more subjective.
i miss her, thats why part 2 is not as good as part 1
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
Hey Buck, are you going to SOFIC
Wasn’t as good as the first Sicario tho!!!
Going in as a 19D active duty can i later on move into SF ? (Someone help).
Bidens and Clintons perhaps could help you find some….
I know someone who from eight years ago who was shot five times: three at the back, one at the back of the arm, and the fifth at the back of the head. He survived that. And he is still doing his day job just like before.
You talk about Kate in the first Sicario. After the tunnel breach, I was trying to frag her through the screen. I have never met a fellow LEO that irritating, dangerous to her team and clueless of how the world works. No way she could have been a fed in Phoenix. I lived in Phoenix and sometimes you have to get a little dirty when cartels are involved. It can be a literal war zone.
„Just fucking dududududuuu“ 😂 I fell off my chair. Thanks, mate
the end is so funny😭😂😂😂
Sicario 2 is better than the first film. Just not having the annoying FBI agent was a major plus, but the plot, pacing, script, and action were better in part 2. I liked part 1, but I loved part 2.
