- Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect.
This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

Any person who takes the time to care for animals whether its professionally or personally is my favorite kind of person. Even if you make a mistake like the bar owner the fact that he cared enough and got enough knowledge to realize the marmosets would have a better life at monkey world. Thank goodness for Monkey World and any other organization whom provides support for any animal species in need.
If you haven’t already, check out the Vervet Monkey Foundation. I support their work. I’m so proud of that org.
What a wonderful comment I agree with you fully.
Yes! Thank you Mr Jim. He could have just tried to recoup some of the expense he paid for the Marmosets - instead he did the right thing by contacting Monkey World to give them a better life. Thank you.
Well said!
Whats crazy is its legal to own monkeys and have them for viewing in your restaurant. Thats wild to me.
Thank you for keeping us informed about what happened too the baby chip. I had already speculated it was health related, because Cheery was doing so good with them both!
I loves these episodes so much. Wish they would put out more than 2 per day.
Bueno is the cutest little guy.😘 I was born with a hole in my heart also.🤗
6:30 look at this brilliant suit the baby can hold onto! such a cute and effective idea!
Awe poor cherrie I just think her wittle baby Thelma is so cute ❤
I'd really love a Marathon from the very first episode on up to now that be wonderful to tuck in to bed on a rainy 🌧 cold 🥶 day with some popcorn 🍿 and just watch every episode
We've got freezing rain and snow, here in Michigan & I was thinking the same thing! Stay warm!
I think all the seasons from 1 to where we are now are available on the Beyond Wildlife channel. You can have your marathon. 😉
I've had my marathon.
Yeah like a livestream of all the episodes at the end of the season. With chat on so we can socialize while we rewatch the entire season live.
I love the expressions and antics of capuchin monkeys. I’d like to see more of them. The Oranges are my second favorite, then the Woolies and Chimps. Do they have night cameras in with the Loros monkeys? I’d love to learn about their nocturnal behavior. Cherry’s baby had a hole in her heart. No way they could have known. Better they lost her now than when she was a toddler. That would hurt the staff and Cherry’s group so much harder. God Bless that little one.
The problem with the increasing amounts of Marmosets needing rescue is because people purchase them when they’re tiny little infants sold as adorable miniature “finger monkeys” and don’t realize that they don’t stay tiny, but grow bigger and not so cute anymore
And extremely territorial. They arguably the smartest of the New World monkeys and their territorial nature make them a huge challenge to deal with.
God bless all of you
I absolutely love animals and I truly love people who look after and take care of animals who would die without their help. 😢❤😢❤ so thank you for taking such good care of these primates ❤ I wish the world had more people in it like all of you. You are truly inspiring. ❤
I so Love this channel what great people Love !!
Sorry for Louise and Cherry. She tried her best but the any didn't have much of a chance with a hole in her heart. My hope is Thelma thrives and eventually Cherry can come to be happy and enjoy motherhood with Thelma.
And I must say I'm shocked that they don't have Gorillas they're also a beautiful primate and so very smart
That's because they haven't had to rescue any gorillas, so far. Even if they did rescue one they would not be able to keep it because they do not have other gorillas in which to put the new arrival so they would have to find it another home that has gorillas. They only accept to rehome primates if they already have the species at the centre because all primates need to be in social groups with other of their own kind.
This is not a normal zoo that acquires babies of popular species. This is a rescue center for pets whose owners are no longer able to take care of them or who were purposely abused and neglected by exploitative business owners while trying to make money off them.
@Mary_Thompson also mom's could die, or reject baby.
So I saw recently that they are on season 15 of this, really hoping that means this channel will continue to upload 2 a day all the way to season 15 , that would be awesome
The marmosets looking from behind the tree was so cute. Why are primates so adorable. I wish owning one as a pet/companion wasn’t bad for them.
orange fringe camo..perfect!!!
The public needs to be educated about the abuses in the pet trade and what is best for each animal😢❤😢❤😢
I have never seen a pure white marmoset before. I wonder what they are. So glad Cherri is taking care of Thelma.
The can't have O'shien. He's Sylvestere's adopted mother.
Poor Louise may she RIP. Hole in heart sounds like a heart murmur.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the Orang creche
Long Live Orangutans!
Does anyone know if the male Gibbon released last episode ended up a king it in the wild?
Is that an albino marmoset?
how did you get the little one away from cherry?
The monkey world fandom says they removed her body from Cherry. Whether it was consensual or not it doesn’t say. I have a lot of questions after each episode -I wish a staff member would patrol these boards!!
Bronco is a chad
Most all human babies are born with a hole in there ❤
The care & dedication the team give to every beautiful primate they care for is to be commended ..... I have so much respect for these wonderful people .... each wee one so precious .... they are blessed to be able to grow up in such a wonderful & protected environment ❤
Zoe , Canada
the guy from Budapest Zoo looked like Fred Armisen doing a bit on Portlandia 🫠
