@Super SoapI fin it annoying that in the anime emergency provisions was only used on one card e.g. the kc gran championship when yugi used it against leon, why not use it for three or more cards? Granted its less things to animate but yugi had like three or four cards in his hand at the time he could of gotten rid of for some serious life point gain.

I have an honorable mention for you, DuelLogs. "Moral Boost", a continuous Spell card where each time one of your monsters is equipped with an Equip Spell card, you gain 1000 LP. Slow, yes. Not good, of course, but it was involved in a combo, that is legal today, where you can potentially gain infinite LP called the Flint Lock
Mr. Variant he’s gone over this before in a video about infinite loops that are legal(as in not gamebreaking). Unless I’m mistaken and it was someone else, of course.
@@M3G4T3RR4 rainbow life was better lol 3 cards needed on field, with colossal fighter he mentioned. Just need fire princess and them to have a stronger monster
@@potatoexe5410 The time rules are a factor in LP but ultimately its a bad example as many games dont go on for long enough for overtime rules to take effect. Gaining LP has always been a secondary effect attached to better effects, and if you lose the game because of the half LP lost from using a card like Solemn Judgment then that just means you used Judgment at an inopportune time.
DaVae Her The rules are laughably bad. Imagine you are playing a combo deck, with no burn, and you have a couple minutes to go, you’re going first, game 3. You basically cannot win. There is essentially no way that you can combo, they take their turn, and you get the turn back to attack in such a short amount of time. The only way to avoid a loss (outside of running lp cards/burn) is to make sure your opponent doesn’t have enough to kill you. So you basically have to stall, run a burn or lp gain card, or surrender. None of these outcomes are fun for either player.
I remember when I played way back in the day all my friends thought Dark Elf and Girai Gumo were terrible cards because they cost so many life points to attack, whereas I always used them because they had such insane attack power that they could basically control the field even without attacking.

You can basically gain infinite life points with Soul Absorption. For example when you play Metaphys. The continuous spell allows you to banish a Metaphys-card and it‘s a soft once per turn. The Metaphys monsters shuffle themselves back into the deck. The bad part is: It‘s not exactly infinite because the continuous spell allows you to draw 1 card. Eventually, you‘ll run out of cards.
Just made a deck using a few of the cards in the video in dueling nexus. I also used custom rules to make the game rigged. I pay 6,000 LP to get Infinite LP and automatically win the game in 30 turns. Also, I like pie.
@@HUNTER-tv1ew No, he mistakenly said 5000 rather than 500 when reciting the effect of 'Soul Absorption'. I'm well aware of the shenanigans you can do with certain combos to get in excess of 54k LP.

"Actually, it means yo will stall until your time runs out thus causing you to lose the game." "Nani!?!?!?"
They could still win if they bust out something like Ancient Sacred Wyvern, Agent of Judgment - Mars, or Neo-Parshath if they're running sanctuary in the sky.
Eventually he can stop stalling before his time ends, keep doing that for the rest of the duel until someone decks out (likely the opponent) and win by having more LP than the other guy.
DuelLogs: *explains why Mystic Wok and Tri-And-Guess are banned* Me: It's almost like the implemented time rule is a load of hot, sweaty garbage or something.
JT it's not a win con. Self-Destruct Button is banned for being a draw condition that wastes time, but something like a stronger Dian Keto doesn't make you beat your opponent
It's like these 3 days of players playing Yu-gi-oh! basicaly with little to no rest could be stretched infinitively and mental stamina of players playing in such events was just a myth. Any strategy that is involving stalling game for way too much time is cancer on such big events. It creates problems both for organizators and other players. You DON'T want to spend your tournament day on playing hour+ games with scumbags like that.
@@bartoszpiorkowski8763 In that case, shouldn't they be banning a lot more cards that are specifically designed to stall? Those 2 cards are not the only ones that allow for that strategy.
Meanwhile my second deck which my friends called fountain of healing has more if not all cards which i gain life points from ( Ex: summon a monster i got both dogwood and child's play for that B, Use a card effect that damages me I got d/d/d king leonidas, and rainbow life, Try to hit my flipped down monster you fool that was an aroma jar now i get 500 life points per end phase, have a high atk monster on you're field I have guardian angel Joan, honest, cestus Dagla, Glass slipper, Black pendant, fairy meteor crash, and big bang shot.
Year late I know... But the problem with those two cards is that they can only gain you life-points during your turn... Still good but Aromage is best when you can gain during the opponents turn seeing as that's where your effects are most disruptive.
My mecha phantom beast deck went from having a ton of outs and play styles, to pretty much focusing on summoning superdreadnought rail cannon juggernaut liebe and otking.
I remember this: Macro Cosmos + Soul Absorption Idea for future videos: best cards that banishes stuff/has banish effect/something to do with banishing stuff
I think one thing you didn't mention that wouldn't really have changed anything, but still is good to know, is that Cauldron of the Old Man actually OTK's one turn before Wave Motion Cannon, so it can actually be better than that card in Mystic Mine Burn decks, or any other stall deck that would use Wave motion cannon.
I know this video is old, and there probably aren't too many people looking for this specific list--but I've been playing Plant Link in Master Duel and having way more success with Child's Play than expected. I originally figured it might be helpful for proccing my aroma cards during my opponents turn. Since those effects on life point gain are once per turn, being able to generate life points on my opponents turn meant way more chances for my effects to go off. Also, the protection it would grant me if I got my life points high enough seemed like a nice perk. Especially as my end boards often don't have any aroma cards on the field, and they tend to not go the distance if it comes down to the grind. What I didn't expect was the psychological effect Child's Play would have on people. It's not a commonly used card, so it's not something people generally have a lot of experience encountering. Doesn't seem like many people know about it--and a ton of people don't bother to read cards. When they see child's play and aroma cards going off, they often make it way more of a priority than it probably should be. They might assume I have more aroma cards than I actually do. Or that my game plan involves getting my life points as high as possible. Really, I just have some life gain cards to help bring cards to my hand and link climb with Aromaseraphy Jasmine, and maybe blow some shit up with Marjoram. I've seen a ton of people panic and blow their negates on a card that's more luxury and fluff for my garnets than anything else in my deck. That's an added protection I wasn't expecting this card to provide at all.
Been pulling something similar recently with Tribe infecting virus in a tearlaments deck as most people will new to the game will not know that its not a once-per-turn card and omni negate it in a chain which doesn't stop the mill which is all i care about.
Actually you can solemn a Golden ladybug when it’s in the opponents hand. If you can get away with it, I would honestly recommend it just because they’ll be amazed that you want to just blast the sucker like that
breloommaster12 See, I would disagree, because either of those can potentially advance the game state. Honestly, Golden Ladybug isn’t doing much unless it’s a stall deck, but it’s just mostly humorous to hit it that way. Plus, technically it’s destroying a card that’s in the hand... not like that’s really useful in this case, but it’s a random fun fact.
Another good LP gain card it's in my opinion "Sacred Beast Awakening" that allows you gain LP equal to the atk of any normal or special summoned monster from your opponent, but you need to have at least 1 sacred beast in your fiel, but thats easy in a Sacred beast deck and also have another 2 goods effects. The bad thing is that it's a archetipe limited card.
A bit upset that Aroma Garden didn't make the list but I can understand why it didn't as it's restricted to a specific archetype. I really like Aromas though
Jar uses ur normal summon under most circumstances (not ideal) and garden is pretty limited situationally (needs an aroma to go off), plus garden's life point gain could arguably be considered a bonus effect because of the attack/defense boost as well.
In my opinion and my experience in Duel Links you could also consider the "Thought Ruler Archifiend" which is a level 8 Synchro monster that requests generic materials and has good statistics, its effect is that when this monster destroys a monster of the opponent, you gain life points equal to the ATK of that monster in the graveyard, which in turn works to pay for its effect of paying 1000 points to negate the destruction by effect of a psychic-type monster (including itself) and if it is equipped with cards like "Metalmorph" or "Power of the Guardian" is relatively invincible.
@@r4nd0mguy99 Lavals are literally the descendants of Flamvells in the lore, and I think they made Fire Kings compatible on purpose since it happens so consistently, but then there's stuff like the archetype that wasn't meant for Rekindling but broke it so hard that the card got Limited for years over it, Fire Fists...
Sacred Beasts Awaken: Basically Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood on steroids. It has the same LP gain effect but as a continuous trap and doesn't cut your LP in half if the opponent doesn't special summon. On top of that it has extra effects, potentially being a one-sided skill drain and even a one-sided Macro Cosmos. The only downside? You have to play Sacred Beasts.
Combining neo-spacian air humming bird with astral barrier & spirit barrier can prevent you taking battle damage while increasing your life points. Also as far as life point increase combos go, airknight parshath equipped with cestus of dagla & solemn wishes is a good way to go or even guardian angel joan with cestus of dagla & fairy meteor crush is a good one too.
speaking of Soul Absorption there is a Yugioh GX and Harry Potter crossover fanfic I have read multiple times where Harry uses a deck focused on banishing monsters and he uses the combo of Macro Cosmos and Soul Absorption a lot. he actually reached OVER 10,000 life points several times. if you want to check it out the name of the story is Harry Potter and the Three Cards of Chaos.
just paraphrasing: "gaining LP doesn't really matter" "these cards are banned because of the amount of LP they give you" I'm not critiquing what you said. I just found it funny, lol.
Well to be fair he’s talking about strictly in tournaments. In world tournaments there is a time limit so gaining life points can be good sometimes because whoever has most life points by the times end wins. However in regular dueling that isn’t world champion level, such as store tournaments or just regular dueling in general; gaining life points is a relatively mediocre effect since not many duel setting play with time limits
I was a little shocked that Aroma Jar isn't on the list, since it can get a fair bit of life points as well, but after seeing what was on the list, I could see it as an honorable mention, which are the cards that you show in the intro of each video, for those who didn't know that.
@@Prince_Eva_Huepow Basically, each turn it restores 500 life points, and if it's flipped face-up, it can't be destroyed by battle while face-up, having that added utility that a monster with a Life Point gaining effect needs to be viable.
@@vincentsissom4180It sounds like it doesn't have non-battle protection. So someone could kill it. 500 lp? Solemn Wishes was honorably mentioned and that card, with the same gain, is way easier to use without a used summoning. Though both need time to activate unless you have a card that can help it activate early. I can see why it's not mentioned at all. Finally, I looked up it Atk/Def and 500/400 is pretty useless against either a card that forces attack mode or piercing cards. Level Limit Area A? 500 recovery may not help against a particularly powerful foe. And lastly, it cannot fight on it's own for the most part. Excellent for Aromages but otherwise niche. DuelLogs: How'd this explanation sound?
I've built a deck around soul absorption and mill cards that basically is capable of looping through the entire deck in 1 turn via necroface returning all the cards back to the deck and starting over with the milling. The thing is, no matter how much the opponent attacks, I gain over twice that amount of LP in a single turn and so my lp just keep rising until the opponent gives up or runs out of cards. It's a stupid gimmick but it's hilarious when your opponent has 6 monsters on the board and you're just gaining life points to no end. Personal best with the deck is capping at 312.000 Life Points before the opponent just quit xD obviously the weakness of this deck are meta decks who wipe/negate way too many things before I can set up the engine, but even there if cards get destroyed I can get them banished and returned with necroface sometimes without it being negated or by baiting out negates. In casual duels however it's remarkably funny when I pull it off
I can imagine how your opponent eould react by using Soul Absorption with Inferno Tempest. Especially you uses those two and Return from the diffeent dimension to bring out exodia more easily, though I highly doubt its possible and is just a theory.
If you manage to pull it off in Duel Links, you already won, because more and more decks appear which rely more on monster cards. I personally love it in Metaphys. Especially when my opponent plays a deck like Darklords or Blue-eyes. I‘m tired of playing against those.
@@r4nd0mguy99 him. This may not be possiblr but imagine if you ised Inferno Tempest to banish 5 exodia pieces from your deck and used Soul Absorption to gain licepoints for each monster banished by inferno tempest, the Return from the different dimension to easily bring out all five exodia pieces more easily if you have no monsters on the field. Like I said it may not be possible and is more of a tbepry.
I would like to add the continuous spell card "Child's Play" to this list: I use this card frequently and its effect to gain 300LP everytime my opponent summons a monster - which in modern Yugioh meta decks, especially Raid Raptor and similar ones, is a lot of LP gain. The second effect of this card is that when I have 10000 or more LP, my monsters cannot be destroyed. Usually, opponents don't destroy this card and realise much later that this was a mistake.
Well tbh, i used Soul Absorption in a Banish OTK deck and since my oponent didnt have that many spell destruction cards, i could play 3 Copys of Soul Absorption, which lead in combination with Eater of Millions and Necroface to banish my Deck about 2 or 3 Times and that lead to about 100k Livepoints at that point my Opponent couldnt beat me since he couldnt do enough damage until he draws out and it was a rly good thing since i didnt had that much protection
I believe you can call link monster when activating Tri-And-Guess. I think the parenthesis is just used as an example for what cards you can call. Because "Extra Deck Monster" now includes links (and pendulums). Unlike dimensional barrier, which does not use the wording "Extra Deck Monester. I checked the OCG ruling but I may still be wrong.
Here’s a little known trick with Cauldron Of The Old Man: run 3 Magic Reflectors (preferably in a deck that either has decent draw power or spell searching) and use them on Cauldron. Not only would it have triple protection from destruction, but additional counters that work towards the effect of Cauldron. Neat, huh?
Contract Laundering is actually a pretty good Life Point gain card... that requires a bit of setup, unfortunately. That being said though, drawing cards and gaining 1000 LP for each card drawn is not nothing to be scoffed at.
i haven t play the game since syncro, not that i ever played competitively, but i'm thinking of returning to it, and your stuff is most insightfull, so thank you
Thanks for making these vids man. Since watching I’ve F I N A L L Y got into Platinum ranking on Masterclass and I’m already rank 3 of platinum too. I’m making a new deck though; cuz platinum players are sorta cheap. I play a eclectic deck of 60 with blue eyes and aroma jar as my mains. People got thirty or less decks with exodia in waiting or try to out deck you with Runeik decks
I did an infinite loop with Rainbow Life once, well more than once. Long Story short, my opponent had Red Eyes Flare Metal Dragon on the field, every time a card's effect would resolve, it would inflict 500 points of life point damage. But activating Rainbow Life would gain the life points, resulting in another gain of 500 Life Points, resolved, repeat. At least that's how our friend who was spectating and was currently a judge at the time said that would be how it work.
Surprised that Spell Absorption isn’t on here. A continuous Spell Card that gives 500 Life points for every spell card played while it’s out on the field is a potentially amazing effect, as most 40 card decks use around 10 spells. Sure, it’s easy to remove with MST and the like, but give it some protection with cards like Magic Reflector, and it could easily give you a ton of life points. It also can combo with all the spell cards on this list (as well as others not mentioned, ie: Dian Keto The Cure Master).
I like "the ascended of thunder" for life point gain and a decent attack. as for what to do with those life points, I have a banish deck with 3 monsters Ancient Sacred Wyvern Number 35: Ravenous Tarantula Number 43: Manipulator of souls by banishing necroface with soul absorption the attack of these 3 monsters exceeds 10,000 gain 5,000 life points, number 43 inflicts the same amount, number 43 increases the atk by the difference for all your monsters and wyvern increases its atk by an amount equal to the positive difference again.
I always thought Red Resonator did a good job of gaining LPs. Especially if you actually play it in a Red Dragon deck. You can easily can 3000 LPs and it's also a really good Tuner.
Red Resonator is so good for that lol, especially if you have Red Supernova and use Crimson Resonator to special summon Red Resonator, then use Synchro Call to bring Scarlight back to the field to synchro King Calamity you can just get 5500-7000+ LP (because of how stupidly high Supernova's ATK can get) as a secondary effect and get a second boss monster out lmao.

i hate to be a negative nancy or a party pooper but i notice theres a couple mistakes in this video. For example the whole solelmn wishes argument is flawed and incorrect because not only is the 500lp gain instant but ALSO can be done more than once per turn. it says ANY time you draw a card or cards. Surely some draw power cards and can give you more than 500lp gain per turn AND its a trap. opponent doesnt know what it is until after you flip it up. and for cauldrens burn damage wave motion cannon is a much better and far more rewarding risk. emergency provisions should not be at the tenth spot either. it has some hilerious tech plays and combos especially some that burn players should know as it removes the spells and traps from the field as a cost. it has some funny rulings and situations that can exploit some cards like that solemn draw card trap that draws based on card advantage. it draws and recognises the card count as it resolves as long as the minimum criteria threshhold is met for activation. There was also a ruling incident at ycs long beach with ceasor gonzalez involving emergency provisions and the wording confliction of royal decree as a fun bit of trivia. Provisions is a quickplay and also frees up more space for people looking to create insane chain links for chain strike if all they are doing is chaining a bunch of spells and traps as it can free up to 4 free spaces or five if you include the field spell. 4 of those spaces can be used for quickplay chainables if you happen to have any with the last being a chain strike although i admit its sooo highly insane and siutational. and with jinzo on board you cant activate traps period so this emergency prov can be used to clear up cloggy backrow freeing up some space if needed. and other stuff too. its way more useful than you give it credit for and does not deserve number ten spot on the list. heres more random weirdflex trivia. golden ladybug was used a small bit kind of a side deck tech back when chaos dragons were meta. tyler tabman used them in his final countdown deck when it came to time being called by siding them in just beforehand knowing. so that way he would win on time by having higher lp and a deck full of stall. and because it was hard for the oppoenent to get at it to get rid of it at the time and still being able to win in time . bad reaction to simochi deck is called nurse burn deck. also had nurse reficule the fallen one. darklord reficule. also time rules are NOT new. they just got a new update and have been changed 2 be even way smaller time alloted. it used to be five turns or three turns after time gets called. it goes way back but you called it new. not gonna mention the thunder dragon at the end but plz add waldo somewhere into your next video and give me a cookie or gold medal lol
You had me in the first sentence, but then you trailed off into being very wrong in general. Solemn Wishes does nothing on it's own, so you will usually only gain 500 or 1k per turn, as most decks don't actually "draw" cards, they search them out. Cauldron is effectively a better version of Wave Motion Cannon, as it can immediately do ramping damage, and it has a shorter clock than Wave Motion Cannon. 300 (turn it's activated) + 600 + 900 + 1200 + 1500 + 1800 + 2100 = 8400 on your 7th turn including the turn you activate it, instead of Wave Motion Cannon's 8k damage 9 turns (including the turn you activate WMC). Also, if your opponent destroys WMC on its 4th turn being out, it did no damage, while cauldron still did 3k, assuming you chose damage each time. And since it has flexibility to gain you life as well, it's better in that regard as well. Ignoring all your other very-niche points, the ""new"" time rules being new (even if they are over a year old now) are still new and effectively an entire different end of match procedure. When the rules change from 4 turns (each of 7 phases) to only lasting the current pause time was called in, a difference of degree becomes a difference of kind. My opponent not getting a response to what I'd been doing for what could have been upwards of 5 minutes or more with a turn of their own is entirely different from what they had before the rule change.
@@LegendLeaguer facepalm.... you do realize if people are using solemn wishes then most likely their deck draws more than once per turn? or is built around it to in incorporate it into their deck at the very least? you seem to have missed the whole point on that one. its not some tech for instant lp again to be higher in lp for stuff like time or whatever.
You can basically use monsters like that as defense position monsters that could kill a guy. What a deal

I shall use all of these cards and obtain infinite life points
You can basically gain infinite life points with Soul Absorption. For example when you play Metaphys. The continuous spell allows you to banish a Metaphys-card and it‘s a soft once per turn. The Metaphys monsters shuffle themselves back into the deck. The bad part is: It‘s not exactly infinite because the continuous spell allows you to draw 1 card. Eventually, you‘ll run out of cards.
Just do the Flint Lock loop.
Just made a deck using a few of the cards in the video in dueling nexus. I also used custom rules to make the game rigged. I pay 6,000 LP to get Infinite LP and automatically win the game in 30 turns. Also, I like pie.

@@HokageUub I cant remember, this was 3 years ago
This background music makes me feel like I just put down Old Yeller and I am looking into the sunset crying my face off.
Actually you can solemn a Golden ladybug when it’s in the opponents hand. If you can get away with it, I would honestly recommend it just because they’ll be amazed that you want to just blast the sucker like that
Yes, pay 1,500 LP to stop 500 LP Healing, why not?
Because hilarity, that’s why.
It's "Dark Bribe the Upstart Goblin" all over again
breloommaster12 See, I would disagree, because either of those can potentially advance the game state. Honestly, Golden Ladybug isn’t doing much unless it’s a stall deck, but it’s just mostly humorous to hit it that way. Plus, technically it’s destroying a card that’s in the hand... not like that’s really useful in this case, but it’s a random fun fact.
I'd be more inclined to snipe it from the hand with Mind Crush
Top 10 Cards that were made for a specific archetype but were too generic that they are used by multiple archetypes.

Basically Destiny HERO
Damn, you're really productive recently! not that i'm complaining
Also as far as life point increase combos go, airknight parshath equipped with cestus of dagla & solemn wishes is a good way to go or even guardian angel joan with cestus of dagla & fairy meteor crush is a good one too.
speaking of Soul Absorption there is a Yugioh GX and Harry Potter crossover fanfic I have read multiple times where Harry uses a deck focused on banishing monsters and he uses the combo of Macro Cosmos and Soul Absorption a lot. he actually reached OVER 10,000 life points several times. if you want to check it out the name of the story is Harry Potter and the Three Cards of Chaos.

just paraphrasing:
"gaining LP doesn't really matter"
"these cards are banned because of the amount of LP they give you"
I'm not critiquing what you said.
Could you explain all of that?
@@Prince_Eva_Huepow The Duel Logs places the cards that didn't quite make the list in the intro of the video.
@@vincentsissom4180 I kinda knew that. I was referring to if you could explain Aroma Jar being an honorable mention.
Personal best with the deck is capping at 312.000 Life Points before the opponent just quit xD
obviously the weakness of this deck are meta decks who wipe/negate way too many things before I can set up the engine, but even there if cards get destroyed I can get them banished and returned with necroface sometimes without it being negated or by baiting out negates.

Make a Top 10 equip spell cards in Yugioh

I did an infinite loop with Rainbow Life once, well more than once. But activating Rainbow Life would gain the life points, resulting in another gain of 500 Life Points, resolved, repeat.

Love you brother, thank you for all the awesome content and I hope you realize how valued your research is for this video
i hate to be a negative nancy or a party pooper but i notice theres a couple mistakes in this video.
As for the rest of your comment was about to reply to the rest of it but not sure if serious or troll so no not worth. Also good luck keeping wave motion on board for more than 4 turns lol atleast be practical
@@taburzblism3287 if you built your deck around lots of drawing effects to use Solemn wishes better, you're just going to end up with a shittier exodia stall/FTK because most of the good draw cards are banned or are on trap cards, so your deck won't have enough power to actually combat your opponent trying to kill you
@@taburzblism3287 your WMC point is ny point. You need it around for multiple turns and it not very destroyed at all for 8 turns (after you activate it) for it to do anything because knightmare Phoenix, MST, Twin Twisters, or Cosmic Cyclone outs it for a card that ended up doing nothing for multiple turns. At least Cauldron will do something while it is out each turn
@@LegendLeaguer fair points they are valid but theres still mistakes in the video.
Ancient Gear and Emergency Provisions = King of Games man
"Gaining life points dosnt advance the game"
Me who has 100k lifepoits with three soul absorption and allowed me to tank 18k damage in one battle phase until I could draw gren maju
I was on the receiving end of one of these decks. The worst part I also needed to banish stuff to get my plays going, so the card shut me down completely. Not even my Tyranno Infinity could keep up with the life point gain...
Would like to give an honorable mention to Nutrient Z which gives you 4000 life points during damage calculation when you take 2000 points or more of battle damage. Too situational but was helpful in the early days of the game
How about Top 10 Synchro monsters/materials?
That is actually a nice suggestion, I never saw that before. That would definitely be a good video.
For synchro specific materials Dopple Warrior and Beast of the Pharaoh would have to be up there
You forgot that emergancy provisions is a quick play so if your opponent would attack for game, you can use it to save yourself
"If it just increases your life points, it's not a good card"
The Aroma archetype wants to know your location
Sanctuary in the Sky wants to know as well.
Pain gainer and that Ravenous Tarantula also wish to know this location, and they're giant spiders.
Wait, why does Juggernaut Leabh have a giant spider on top of it?
Ancient Sacred Wyvern might want some words, too.
He literally mentioned that stuff such as Aroma gives new meaning and context to these cards.
I have a decent gimmick Gren Maju deck with Soul Absorption, Inferno Tempest, Ancient Leaf and Backup Squad. Not the best deck at all, but some duels are just plain bonkers and awesome with this.
