    This short video clip aims to summarise the key benefits and features of the Brinsea Ovation 56 EX Egg Incubator to assist people to make an informed choice about the right Brinsea egg incubator for them. The Ovation 56 EX is one of 3 digital models in the Ovation 56 range. This EX offers precise programmable humidity control which not only enables breeders to develop their own humidity strategy and use it repeatedly, but it also means they no longer need to manually top water up inside the machine (since the pump tops the water up for them from an external reservoir of the customer's choice). All Brinsea products come with a 3 year warranty.

    I have the Ovation 56 EX set up right now, and I'm on Day 10. This is the very first time I'm using this model and I'm hoping this will give me better hatch rate percentages from the styrofoam incubators I've used the last 2 times. I'm excited! 😊

    I'm curious about the water cannister solution in the video. The small water transporter between the water cannister and the machine does'nt seem to be included. Is it something you have to order separately?

    I am going to send an email but also want to connect here. We bought this in January. It worked beautifully the first 2 times. We are attempting to use it a third time. It had a rest for about 1.5 months after the last hatch. It was cleaned thoroughly/taken apart. The captain tube was replaced. We took it out yesterday. It has been set up for over 24 hrs. It is not getting to 55 % humidity. Stuck at 42%? I have gone through everything. It has sucked about 6-8oz of water into the sponge the reserve shows standing water. There is enough water in the unit. Yet, the humidity stays at 40? Can you help? thank you. Melinda

    I got one of these as a Christmas gift
    Now after reading reviews on Amazon, it seems others had issues with the fan going out. I tend to hatch expensive eggs so now I am afraid to use it. How can I get a back up fan and do you have an installation video on how to install a new fan, should the need arise?

    • @adm6785
      @adm6785 4 роки тому +1

      lotus- Fans are a hit or miss for any incubator. FWIW, I've had my ovation 56x for 4 years and have had no issues, but found where you can order the specific fan for this model: brinsea.co.uk/accessories-consumables-spare-parts/ovation-incubators-spare-parts/replacement-fan-for-ovation-28-56-incubators/ I've also seen them on ebay, but they're from China. With exporting halted, I'd order direct or see if you can get the model # and buy it locally. It's a good idea to keep spare parts and a backup incubator for any incubator you use, especially if you're hatching expensive eggs. Hope this helps. ;-)

    Thank you. Does setting the cooling for a few minutes for goose eggs replace misting with water? I have read goose eggs should be misted daily.

    • @BrinseaProductsLtd
      @BrinseaProductsLtd  2 роки тому

      You can read more about cooling here: brinsea.co.uk/cooling - from research cooling needs to be for more than a few minutes. As for misting eggs, some people do it regularly, others don’t do it at all. Your incubator should provide all the warmth and humidity that the eggs need.

      The egg incubator market is now more competitive than ever and it’s easy to make the mistake of buying a cheap, imported incubator from the Far East, and expecting it to work to the standard you expect. Our products may be more expensive than some others, but we provide our customers with much more than other manufacturers do.
      All Brinsea products are made in Somerset and we have been at the forefront of incubation technology for over 40 years. We have a Research and Development Department who are constantly evaluating and developing new products, typically it takes over two years to bring a product to market. We hold more patents for egg incubation than all of the other incubator manufacturers combined, and all of our machines fully comply with safety standards, unlike many imported incubators on the market. We source as many of our components and parts from the UK, our plastics are moulded in Wales, our thermometers are made in London, our boxes are printed locally and we do our very best to support other UK manufacturing businesses. Manufacturing in the UK is more expensive than in the Far East for many reasons, one of which is the conditions that staff work in and staff welfare.
      We offer a three-year guarantee on our products rather than the standard one year which many manufacturers offer. We also have a sales team that are based in the UK - we provide help online, over the phone and by email. We are able to service machines and we carry spare parts for machines that are many years old, in fact we have customers still using Brinsea machines that are over 30 years old. We make products to last, and products we are proud of.
