From the outside, this looks boring, 26, one mile loops. However, this was one of the most fun marathons of my life! Have any of you gotten creative on your quarantine runs?
Ryan Van Duzer gonna run a marathon on Saturday in Lincoln Nebraska. Race day was supposed to be Saturday for Valley 7 lakes but unfortunately we have to stay away from each other! It will be a more introspective experience than normal
I'll be doing my first 10K ever on Friday; part of the Aravaipa Strong virtual race - happening this whole week from all over the planet. Happy 50th Earth Day by the way :)
Your right , he is not only a great runner.... but a super nice person. I met him last year at Western Ststes 100 at the Cliff Bar booth. Talked for a little bit.... so nice. Stay safe out there Ryan.
Hi Ryan, your UA-cam postings are keeping us going here...thank you...after watching this we read Scott's books Eat & Run and North...absolutely loved them really inspiring, moving and just a good read . Cheers Antonella&Michael
I just read his book, North, a few months ago. I’m not a runner, but I like true adventure stories so I picked the book up because it was about someone running the Appalachian trail. Great book! Amazing athlete.
Amazing video, really inspiring to see both of you creating this marathon on this situation. Scott as always an incredible runner and with a simple state of mind. Keep up with the videos Ryan this is what all of us need to watch. Fantastic job, greetings from Texas!!
What a great uplifting video! Scott makes some astute comments about running. It can be hard and difficult and it can also be mesmerizing and spiritual. Too bad about Boston in 2020. Thousands of runners have been training for this event for many many months. I ran this marathon twice in 1996 and 2001 and both times it was an out of body experience. Long live the Boston Marathon.
I love Scott! He seems like such a down to earth guy. Very humble for all that he has accomplished. Great video as always! If you ever find yourself down in Colorado Springs, feel free to send me a message if you need anything. We have some great places for runs and rides down here as well!
@@duzer for sure! The incline is always fun! We will see when they open it back up. Whenever that is and you want to give it a try you have a place to stay and some company on the climb if you want it!
Wonderful tribute and great conversation! I've been tooling around neighborhood streets working on my own Every street project. Its a fun way to rack up some quick miles without going very far!
Amazing! Not only the statement itself, but also the quality is outstanding- music, narration, everything fits. Beautifully done, Ryan! Great motivation for my „Run everyday this April“- project 😊
Fantastic video, Ryan. This looked like a great way to connect with Scott and provide a little inspiration to people. Irrepressible as ever. Keep on moving.

Love Scott, read his books and just love his "character" in Born to Run (I say character because I read the book before knowing of him all those years ago) so awesome you got to have this experience. I would love to interview you Ryan!

Great video Ryan! This was a great video on it's own, but even more so due to the pandemic. I love Scott's book Eat and Run, so this was a great video and interview of my favorite runner. Keep up the great work.
Buenos dias de Noruega :-) Wow, loved this one. Well, actually, this one too :-) For biking I've always loved getting up so early I'm the one waking up the little birds in the bushes, not the other way around, so this hit me dead center. Sunrise is magical, and what's more, the silence and the peacefulness of your own community at those hours are equally magical. Boulder looks a super place to live and in some ways also looks kind of like Norway with regards to houses etc. And Sweden I guess, which you of course are familiar with. Scott seems a gentle giant, loved hearing his perspective on running and other things. Stay on it, brother, your work will have me inspired for life :-) Que tengas un lindo día =)

@@duzer Oh, for sure. On my earliest rides I get up at 3:30AM to leave at 4AM. Pure magic. But you know, Scandinavia is far north and even at 4AM it's as light as at noon in the summer =) It's great that you speak Swedish btw, and I'm a tiny bit surprised you still speak it so well in light of the fact that it's quite a few years ago since you lived there. I guess learning languages comes easy for you, and that's a blessing =) Orally Norwegian and Swedish are actually pretty similar languages and you'd probably understand most of what I said if I'd said a few sentences. Ha en fantastisk sommer, Ryan, og kos deg masse med Miss Boone =)
As a vegan runner, Scott and his wife are so inspiring to me. I don’t have kids, but if/when I do, I want to raise them vegan and to love the outdoors and be active. It’s so neat following their little family!
