Good video Bro! Good job on the ignition switch install! I appreciate you opening up at the end of your video. Sharing your views and experiences are important to people like myself who are just starting our Foxbody channels! Either way you will have my support Brother! I appreciate you and the sacrifices you make to put out content for the Fox Community!

I love your channel Matt, but family comes first. We will be okay with just a video a month. Our kids grow up so fast and we can’t get back those precious years. As long as you don’t delete the channel, I will survive looking at all the old videos. 😂 ❤

Hey Matt just to let you know , some of us like myself love this channel. Because it relates to us that have projects that have no end because life Happens. Can’t wait to see what 2023 brings 🎉
Matt, been watching your channel since the dude with his hands waving in the air, understand what you're saying, I'm sort of burnt out fooling with my car, replaced several parts chasing a fuel trim discrepancy bank to bank, around 3 grand of parts plus tune and almost 2 years of wrenching ,so wife and I could bring our foxbody to foxtober fest and meet some of theUA-camrs, mabey will get her figured out and make it down one day, hopefully things will turn around for the Chanel good luck on what ever path you guy's take.
And the how to videos are helpful also at times for a new guy I've had my fox for 10+ years and I forgot how to do something and look it up and like oh that's how it went
@GearHead704 when I did mine a few years back I did the same thing and didn't line it up and yes I took it bak not once but twice because I thought they were bad but then I watch a video and yeah it pop in took me a minute to find it the video
Another long term sub “chiming in”….. Matt, your passion for the content you produce is unmatched. But, you need to take care of your real world stuff. The channel can wait. I hope you decide to continue to upload videos. Only on your terms! Take care. Mike
I remember in the early nineties Ford had a recall on the ignition switches something about terminals being to close together and could catch fire when the car was not even running. Surprisingly the dealer gave me the revised part for my 92 and I installed it myself. Still working good.
Hey, Matt...I've been a loyal watcher for at least a couple years now. Sorry to hear you are feeling burned out. I wish you the best and hope you figure things out for yourself. Your health (mental and physical) are the most important thing you have, for you and your family. Trust me, I'm figuring this out for myself, too...with work and personal stuff...as I went through open-heart surgery last April (I have a mechanical mitral valve now) at a mere 45 years old! Personally, I have been enjoying the car reviews, but am also really interested in Project Nemisis, as I work through my own project that is also going to be a street/auto-x/track day car. Best wishes, man!
Hey PuzzleFox, yes I recall seeing your name in the comments for quite a while now, so thanks for the continued support. No matter what I will bring you guys a video on Nemesis, just the amount of content may slow, I'm not sure. But man that is crazy that you are dealing with that at such a young age. More power to you, you are overcoming things i've never imagined. Keep at it and thanks for watching and supporting!
Take care of yourself first Matt and do what makes you happy. I’ve been in the background supporting, just been quiet. That’s why I just disappear for months sometimes, I get burnt out and just want to do my own thing. Good luck buddy
Hey Dan, I know you understand the grind for sure, so reading this comment from you means even more. Appreciate that and I think I'll still do some videos in 2023, but just probably less frequently.
I just found your channel and you motivated me to Vlog more on my channel. I know all about the burnout as well. 2022 I spent most of my time on restructuring business and personal life instead of going out enjoying cars, events, and filming. This year I plan for a little bit more balance of all the above. Whatever is going on behind the scene I hope everything works out for best 🙏
Thanks so much. I've got over 400 videos, so I doubt you'll have any trouble finding other content from me for a while lol, but yeah I appreciate the kind words and I think I'll still upload, but just more infrequently.
Good Video. These are the ones I like. I haven't "knock on wood* had to do this... Yet. Good to know I've become a pro tearing these dashes apart 🤣 Personal Life has me busy with other things too. I haven't did a video in a long time. My car is running great, I've just been driving it. I have been stock piling parts, I'll get to... When I can. Simple as that.
Yeah I haven't seen a vid from you in a long time J PP, but that's great you've just been enjoying it. I can't believe you haven't done one of these yet LOL
Matt, I have only been watching your videos for a few months, but when I see 2,3,4 a day I have seen a bunch! I like the fact that you KNOW that you maybe don't know, and by your mistakes we learn what can go wrong. Wishing you the best on whatever decision you make about your videos. I'm going to follow regardless of content. Thanks for being real!!!
1987 Foxbody, Felt like leaving a comment for anybody else with the same issue, it just seemed like my key wouldn’t stay in the run position. With a little bit of pressure it stayed, but as soon as I took it off it didn’t. My issue was that the solenoid is loose. Push the solenoid up and try to start and see if it stays in run. The previous owner resorted to tape to fix this, so i think i’m just gonna do the same until I can get a new solenoid or figure out how to attach it properly.
Matt, I have enjoyed your videos for years and thank you for your dedication to the "fox" life. Your struggles are apparent in your voice. Remember family first in your decisions . See you soon.
Hey Matt, I'm a diehard 88 Foxbody Mustang owner/fan, and love and appreciate all your content, work, and shared experiences. I can appreciate your life dilemma in going forward. Hope you can find that happy medium that would allow you to continue to produce and share content, whichever direction you decide to go. Best wishes!!!
Do what you need to do for you and your family. I have been here for several years. Your how to videos helped me tackle several projects. The biggest being fully rebuilding my 8.8.
It's all good with your loyal followers, when things become a second job, at least most of us understand it. Keep doing what content your doing, first take of yourself and your family first, and rest will fall where it does, just enjoy what makes you happy.
I was thinking that I would be hearing, "I am selling my Tarheel and buying a F-Body". :0 J/K. Love your channel. I am in it for the long haul. Rest up. I won't be going anywhere. I still think "Supernemesis" with a nice paxton whine, and has a good ring. :)
@@GearHead704 you been a inspiration to many my friend!!! from ware you where at when you started to now ...been cool to watch you learn so much ...and teaching others along the way...ive learned some to from ya and ive been building cars a long long time....lol....your not completely gonna stop making videos are you?
🌴Brisk USA spark plugs were an original equipment for the Lamborghini since your working on ignition keeping it fun and exciting.I really like the Cobra convertible I like the Ford Mystic Chrome if I were to get a a Cobra convertible.I think the clear tinted tail lights are incredible and what makes cars so interesting that people can't get enough that is on another level and makes cars legendary 🔥 hot. Also wrapstyle looks interesting if you look around Brisk USA you'll find it.🦛
If that adjustment is off it will spin and not fire. Matter of fact many good switches get trashed due to wear misalignment that has adjustment space to tighten back up the connection.
Matt, thanks for letting us know what is going on, appreciate that! I guess I'm one of the few who likes the How-To videos and had been wondering why the channel was leaning more towards events and car coverage. I hope you get Nemesis done, I want to see your 347 in action! Best to You, Tiffany and the family!
I know you've been a loyal follower for a long time, so thank you. I'll still do how to's from time to time I think and no matter what I'll definitely have a Nemesis video coming. Thanks man.
well come on, you know like i know, there are just more content creators on YT so your gonna loose some and then it will fluctuate. so my suggestion is if your feeling burnt out just knock it back to one video a week and find your footing and then make a decision weather or not you still want to do it…..It’s a lot of content out there and you had to know eventually it would kind of tapper off, but almost all the creators go through this weather it’s cars, lifestyle, vanlife, RV living, card readers and that’s just the tip of the iceburg. There’s a place for you but i think that everybody on here goes through the pressure and it can be very intimidating….Look at samcrac, or auction auto rebuilds or nomadic introvert, some of those guys are even running reruns or old episodes……that’s a lot of pressure, hang in there it’ll get better!👍🏿😂
Thanks, I ended up taking a few months off then came back fairly regularly last year starting around April. I'm currently uploading every other week or so.
Matt don't know if you remember me mentioning that my you tube fox following started with you and enjoy what you do. I know that things change in life and you have to make the change that's necessary for you. Hopefully we still see you in a capacity that you can get back to enjoying yourself and we can enjoy what you bring us. You will make the decision that ultimately helps you and your family first and foremost.
I do remember that now and I know you've been supporting for a long time, so I really appreciate that and your kind comments. I should have a new video up next week actually.
I had that part fail on me when I was 16 in my 87 4cyl took it apart cleaned ,zip tied back together and got it working had a relative show me no you tube back then in 95👍
I have to say Matt, that you are a pioneer of the youtube blooper reel! I always look forward to the end of the videos for another good laugh. I hope you can reset and feel refreshed with your content this year!
The video was actually helpful believe it are not and you did a great job in my opinion. I think and just like you said do the videos that work for the channel. Don't doubt yourself when it comes to doing the know how videos just do some reach first which will help then do yours.
A good way to test the ignition switch, take and slowly turn the key forward, when it starts firing off slowly guide the key back to run position, let it idle while supporting the key and let it go. It'll probably die then. In my old auto it would run and drive until i hit a bump. Also a finger ratchet is what I got the window screws out with
Matt u do what you have to do for yourself .. your channel was the first one I started following when I got my foxbody thanks for sharing n laughing with us..✌
Hey Matt, first-time commenter, longtime viewer. Keep doing what you LIKE doing in balance with life. We, true fox-body gearheads enjoy all the how to videos. There are fair weather and true followers. Will be here for you and all Fox shenanigans. I bet that in the long run, your how to videos will get more counts than the short-lived pop crowd videos. I met you at Chocolate Fox and I enjoyed to see the same person in the camera as the same in person guy. Keep it up!
Over worked and under rated. Yes I still watch 😜 Take you a much needed break because I think you need one , get your personal stuff worked out and get your mind cleared up, then come back stronger than ever with fresh new ideas and change up the channel content a lil. I personally think u should build u a beast mustang starting out stockish and doing a lil at the time to make it faster and faster while showing how much faster each upgrade makes it while doing it say on a budget buying used parts where u can like the heads and having them ported etc. Find someone to drag race you from time to time. We are suckers for that kind of stuff 🤣🤪 Then u can still mix in the how too's with the fox hot rod that your building but keep it running as much as possible during the upgrades to keep us on the edge of our seats. But I do think you need a killer fast car on the channel. Not saying tarheel is slow and its a really nice car but im sure u have tarheel the way u want it and its a really nice driver . Just my 1.5 cents 🤣
79Beans! 1.5 cents I hear you lol. I actually would love to do what you are suggesting, just takes a lot of time, but who knows maybe and actually you're right, tarheel is slow! LOL
🤣😂🤣😂 Thats what u want it to do is eat the clock because that is endless easy content towards one goal . Actually Tarheel would be the perfect candidate for something like that but I didnt know if you would want to make it a high hp street car or not. You could do a 363 dart block supercharged big cam beast which would set ya apart from all of the other channels and it would be done in a vert which no one else has 💪😁. Im pretty sure tarheel can hold his own out in the skreets 🤤
Hey Matt I love your videos. You have inspired me to work on my 93 GT Vert. I don’t have much mechanical experience but seeing you learn as you went really inspired me. Fox body content is great but sometimes life can get in the way. I can understand taking some time for you and your family. But like Kasl said, don’t leave us for good! God bless!
Glad to see you figured out what was going on with Tarheel I bet that was driving you nuts. When my computer went out was the first time Shifty left me stranded in the past 3.5 ish years of driving her daily & that was only a few weeks back. It definitely sucks being stuck on the side of the road in the especially in the dark... Sorry to hear that your channel was overworking and feeling like a job but I completely understand either way you go and if you go I'm definitely going to miss the content but hope to get some from you every once in awhile. You are 1 of my top channels to watch and I appreciate everything you do, love the bloopers watch every video all the way through and I definitely can't wait to see the makers stuff on your car it's going to look 🔥🔥🔥 I hope things get better for you my friend 🙂
I'm going to have to add on after reading some of the other comments looking back at when you started not knowing really much of the mechanics you have evolved so much and come so far you can actually do work in your own garage now and help us all in this hobby and I think it's awesome and that you had the drive to continue doing that I believe that you have helped a lot of people in doing the same it definitely wouldn't be the same if you weren't here and I love the videos no matter which way they go repairing stuff learning how to do something like soldering I actually learned from you the whole computer thing and especially the restoration of the front of nemesis you guys made my eyes open big on that one and your bad ass car reviews and the show coverage you are a inspiration man and I have to thank you for that!!!

If it makes a tiny spark it will blow things like a alternator or computer out and that's expensive
Yes good point for sure. I'll try to get it right next time.
Nice video bro fellow non expert here but hey we figure it out. Going five years on my foxbody and just got it running. You will get there on nemesis keep at it.
BIG congrats on getting yours running!
Hey bro , I really love your videos, I only really watch you and Tussin , u have a great personality for what your doing, I do pray that whatever in your personal life gets better 🙏 , with however you choose to go I am a loyal watcher and hope to see you at the shows take care n good luck 💯
Tussin is a great great channel for sure! Thanks for your support and I think right now I"m gonna keep going just with more infrequent uploads. Thanks again, it means a lot.
Great work Matt love the content glad you back doing videos and like the new fox in the family.
Thanks man, sorry I took 8+ months to respond lol
I enjoy the fact you aren’t a mechanic. I’m not either and although I wrench a lot, I’m not certified in anything.
Thanks, just trying to keep it real
Do what you have to do brother, I’ll still be here watching whatever content you put out 🍻
Thanks Dan, feels like i'm still putting content up just longer time in between videos. I appreciate ya
Early year gearhead would be proud of the work you are doing yourself matt. Loved following along learning with you. Best of luck bud!
I think you're right, thanks so much!
Hay Matt love what you do and will always support 👊🏻
Thanks so much, definitely appreciate ya
Keep your head up, brother. It’s going to get better.
Thanks, it has been getting better. Appreciate it.
I must be the odd one. I like the how to stuff. But you have to do what’s best for you 😊
Thanks Chuck, if I keep the channel going I think I will keep putting out how to content as well from time to time. Appreciate ya.
thanx for this video i can change the ignition !!!!!!
I'm glad it helped.
For anyone With the problem of no start check safety switch that’s on the clutch! Carefully bypass it and try to start I’m sure that’s the problem if the key isn’t
Hey Matt just to let you know , some of us like myself love this channel. Because it relates to us that have projects that have no end because life Happens. Can’t wait to see what 2023 brings 🎉
Hey Bruce, I'm glad to hear that and I know you've been an OG for a long time. I appreciate it man and we'll see how 2023 goes from here
Matt, been watching your channel since the dude with his hands waving in the air, understand what you're saying, I'm sort of burnt out fooling with my car, replaced several parts chasing a fuel trim discrepancy bank to bank, around 3 grand of parts plus tune and almost 2 years of wrenching ,so wife and I could bring our foxbody to foxtober fest and meet some of theUA-camrs, mabey will get her figured out and make it down one day, hopefully things will turn around for the Chanel good luck on what ever path you guy's take.
Keep at it dude! Regardless I'll be at Foxtoberfest so I think 2023 will be your year
Your content is great buddy, hope You keep at it
Thanks I started bringing it back finally
And the how to videos are helpful also at times for a new guy I've had my fox for 10+ years and I forgot how to do something and look it up and like oh that's how it went
Cool, good to hear, and I'm glad i've got this one out there now.
@GearHead704 when I did mine a few years back I did the same thing and didn't line it up and yes I took it bak not once but twice because I thought they were bad but then I watch a video and yeah it pop in took me a minute to find it the video
Best wishes to whatever you choose to do!!
Thanks Chet. Always appreciate you supporting.
Another long term sub “chiming in”….. Matt, your passion for the content you produce is unmatched. But, you need to take care of your real world stuff. The channel can wait. I hope you decide to continue to upload videos. Only on your terms! Take care. Mike
Love Gearhead 704.
You're too kind! Thanks so much.
That happened to me and it was the relay
Gotcha, luckily everything is working for the moment.
Hello Matt, don't they make an improved switch ? mine caught on fire, twice ...
I remember in the early nineties Ford had a recall on the ignition switches something about terminals being to close together and could catch fire when the car was not even running. Surprisingly the dealer gave me the revised part for my 92 and I installed it myself. Still working good.
Funny man! 😄
I always have a good time lol
Thanks for share!
Glad you found it useful.
You sir, like you mentioned are one of the OG's.. Hang in there! looking forward to any/all content from you.
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Happy New Year. Much love to you and TIFF
Thanks Tim and Happy new year!
Keep your head up buddy. Hopefully we see you at fto
Thanks Mike. I go every other year so I am due.
@@GearHead704 awesome
I watched until the end! My advice would be to do what truly makes you happy. Even if that means taking a break from UA-cam. Always have my support!
Thanks a lot buddy, definitely appreciate ya and enjoy your content as well.
Good Video. These are the ones I like. I haven't "knock on wood* had to do this... Yet. Good to know
I've become a pro tearing these dashes apart 🤣
Personal Life has me busy with other things too.
Thanks so much for watching man, I really appreciate it. As you can see i've slowly started releasing some content again since I made this video.
Thanks for adding the info. Hopefully it will help some others as well.
Matt, I have enjoyed your videos for years and thank you for your dedication to the "fox" life. Your struggles are apparent in your voice. Remember family first in your decisions . See you soon.
Man, I appreciate that! It's very nice to have longterm support like that. I'll definitely let you guys know, thanks for the inputs.
Thanks a bunch for the video Matt. I love watching you fix things on your own. Reminds me how I do repairs on my vert. Haha. Love it.
Great to hear it Tim and thanks for the support.
Hey Kevin, thanks a lot for commenting and leaving your thoughts. I think I will find that happy medium. Appreciate it.
Do what you need to do for you and your family. I have been here for several years. Your how to videos helped me tackle several projects. The biggest being fully rebuilding my 8.8.
Man I"m so glad that video series helped you! Probably one of the biggest things I ever did on the channel. Appreciate the support.
It's all good with your loyal followers, when things become a second job, at least most of
us understand it. Keep doing what content your doing, first take of yourself and your family
first, and rest will fall where it does, just enjoy what makes you happy.
Thank you Paul, I really appreciate you saying that and your relentless support.
Man I'm waiting for you to finish up the notch back your videos always Crack me up and I enjoy watching them man
Thanks James, it will be finished one way or the other 100% and the entertainment part is my favorite part
KPKP! F-Body lol you are too funny! I think I'll have another video up next week, SUPER NEMESIS!!!! Love it
Love your content but you have to do what is best for you and your family. I hope y’all had a great holiday and things get better for 2023.
Tim thanks much buddy, I know you've supported the channel for a long long time. Things are getting better, so I appreciate it.

I don't think so. I think if anything I may just upload less videos is all.
@@GearHead704 well thats good ....i enjoy them all ... ;)
Hang in there brother. I've always enjoyed your content and have learned something from every video you've put out
Thanks man, that means a bunch and great to hear. I should have a new video out next week.
Also wrapstyle looks interesting if you look around Brisk USA you'll find it.🦛
I love the Mystic Chrome color too!
If that adjustment is off it will spin and not fire. Matter of fact many good switches get trashed due to wear misalignment that has adjustment space to tighten back up the connection.
That seems like a valid point for sure.
Take care of Matt & family!!!! You are entertaining for sure I’ll tune in on which venture you take on brother!!!
Thanks buddy and will do!
Thanks man.
@@GearHead704 Looking forward to it!
well come on, you know like i know, there are just more content creators on YT so your gonna loose some and then it will fluctuate. so my suggestion is if your feeling burnt out just knock it back to one video a week and find your footing and then make a decision weather or not you still want to do it…..It’s a lot of content out there and you had to know eventually it would kind of tapper off, but almost all the creators go through this weather it’s cars, lifestyle, vanlife, RV living, card readers and that’s just the tip of the iceburg.
I had that part fail on me when I was 16 in my 87 4cyl took it apart cleaned ,zip tied back together and got it working had a relative show me no you tube back then in 95👍
The zip tie trick is a great one
Hope everything works out for ya Matt just do what makes you happy and enjoy life and family
Thanks Jamey, you've been supporting so long I can't even remember how long, so I appreciate it. Good advice as well.
I have to say Matt, that you are a pioneer of the youtube blooper reel! I always look forward to the end of the videos for another good laugh. I hope you can reset and feel refreshed with your content this year!
Hah hah, I wish the bloopers were more popular and I'd be set! LOL. Thanks I really appreciate it and things are going better.
The video was actually helpful believe it are not and you did a great job in my opinion. I think and just like you said do the videos that work for the channel. Don't doubt yourself when it comes to doing the know how videos just do some reach first which will help then do yours.
Great to hear, thanks for the positive comments as well.
A good way to test the ignition switch, take and slowly turn the key forward, when it starts firing off slowly guide the key back to run position, let it idle while supporting the key and let it go. It'll probably die then. In my old auto it would run and drive until i hit a bump. Also a finger ratchet is what I got the window screws out with
Can't beat a finger ratchet! Thanks for the tip.
Hang in there Matt. I love your videos and the excitement you bring. I hope it all works out.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words
Matt u do what you have to do for yourself .. your channel was the first one I started following when I got my foxbody thanks for sharing n laughing with us..✌
I didn't know that buddy! Thanks so much. I should have a new video up next week.
Ya mine caught fire yesterday. Make sure you put an inline fuse on the signal wire to save yourself 3-6 hours of wiring later on.
Good tip and I'm sorry your caught fire.
Hang in there brother. It’s been some tough times. Hope you find your way.

Get out why you can, dump the cars why fox’s are still fairly high in the market place.
Going to keep this vert forever and I have way too much much in parts in my coupe now to sell it without assembling it first.
Always enjoyed your content & always had a great time hanging out with you.
Thanks Mike, definitely enjoy hanging out with you as well buddy.
Good luck to you sir in all your endeavours big fan of you tiff you’re down to earth people love the channel

Good job! Those switches are real fun to get out - especially the factory ones. Keep at it even if you becomes a hobby to your hobbies.
Tons of fun lol! Thanks BrokenTool that means a lot
@@GearHead704 You are welcome.
Keep it up!
You’re gonna love the wheels! Can’t wait to see them on the Blue devil fox!
Same, I can't wait!
You could've done that without removing the top part.
Gotcha, may try that next time
Classic case of it being something much simpler than thought. I changed my fuel pump once at it was just the relay 😂🤣😂🤣
These cars always get you.
@@GearHead704 yep lol
If you have the older models they have that white button under wheel
Gotcha, good to know.
I think switch they pop from the back of switch
may be

Thanks Sean, Hadn't decided what I"m doing yet. Will let you guys know when I do

God bless!
That's always great to hear when I can inspire someone like that. Appreciate the support and I should actually have another video up next week.
how old is the TFI module?
A couple years
Glad to see you figured out what was going on with Tarheel I bet that was driving you nuts.
Shifty! You've been a big supporter for a while now and I really appreciate it man. 3.5 years, that was a real good run. I think I should actually have a new video coming up next week. Thanks for all the kind words, I do appreciate it.
Wow Shifty you really summed up my channel and everything I do, that's amazing to read when you put it like that. No matter what I will bring you guys a Nemesis video one way or the other. Again I can't thank you enough for the kind words and support. See you in the comments hopefully soon.
