Dude, wow you don't know how much this helped, especially with the added drawings. Im flying international (actually first flight ever anywhere) for the first time and so scared, im going to Philippines from us, will land in qatar , and will have only 1.5 hours to get to gate. So obviously you have to go thru transfer regardless. Dude you got my support ...

This is the setback of these new massive, classy INTL AIRPORTS. The precious traveller has to do a whole lot of walking. Dont the trains run close to midnight. Phwee.

Well, Doha is easy, and if no delays or other problems, 1 hour should definitely be enough time. Doha and Qatar Airways is the preferred airport for my wife when travelling to Norway, because it's so easy to navigate :)

At transfer security do you pass through a full body scanner or a normal metal detector? Thanks
I think it was the normal go through detector, and not the bodyscan where you raise your arms.
What is the range of C terminal. I guess we can take train if we get end of C terminal. But do you have any idea witch C terminal will be easier if we take train?
Yes, the train takes you through the C terminal. Its not that long, so you can easily walk the distance.

No, i havent tried the Al Maha service.
It's a great service, they have 2 levels of service so the price varies. The highest service gets you into a lounge and that's worth paying for if you're not flying business class.
Hello I have a question. Do you have to take the metro from one gate to another or is there an option to walk the distance?
Yes, you can walk the distance. You actually have to go one floor up to find the metro.
Which airlines did u took for 1st and connecting flight? Do you need to collect yr baggage and re-checkin again? While waiting for the next flight we can get out of the transit?
Hi, i was flying with Qatar Airways from Oslo to Bangkok via Doha. If you buy your travel under 1 ticket, you don't have to collect your baggage and check in again. Yes, you can leave the airport, but you need to check visa requirements.

Do you need to pass through immigration when transferring as in connecting to another plane or you just go straight to your gate as you wait to board.
Go straight to the gate. No immigration, but sometimes have to go through securitycontrol.

Your c arrival and D departure next to each other on the map . Do you have to go all the way to the other end and come back or you just did it to show the airport ? Do you have to go to Teddy bear area ?
Well, its depends on where you arriving from, and if you have to go through the security control.

Boarding pass will be issued during check-in on your first flight at your departure airport.

You don't need visa for transit. If you need to collect your baggage you will probably need visa.
Hi, great video thank you. For my connecting flight from I will have to collect baggage and do the check in again ( didn't check my ticket properly when booked, luggage checked through is not included). Is immigration and luggage collection area very busy or reasonable? Thanks

But, i would definitely ask during check-in if they could check your luggage to your final destination, but if your travel is on 2 separate tickets it might be difficult, but I would tried. I am not sure, but the gate comes up early, but I can't remember exactly.
I am coming to Doha from Chicago then from Doha to Manila. This is my first time going to Doha. Hopefully, I don’t get lost. On my e-ticket it doesn’t have any info which terminal, etc. Where I need to go. So, it looks like I get that info once I am there.

Doha Airport is very easy :) i just sent my wife through Doha Airport and she confirmed is was very easy :) So you will have no problem finding your gate :)

Normally they will check in your baggage to your final destination. You can check and ask during your first check in.

the travel is between Oslo, Norway, and Bangkok, Thailand.
How long did it take you from getting off the plane till your gate ?
In this video I used 25 minutes. In another video I used only 13 minutes. So It really depends on the arrival and departure gate.

Doha is an easy airport to do transit, so if no delays, you will have no problem with 55 mins layover :)

Hi, what are the documents checking at the transfer desk?
Do you need to go to a transfer desk ? Normally they will issue boarding card to your final destination. The only document I have been showing, is sometimes the boarding card for going through the securitycontrol.

If you have boardingpass for your final destination, you dont have to go to any transferdesk. You just go through securitycontrol and then to your gate. At the gate thay might check your passport and might ask if you have any visa, but that never happend to me.
where is C23? (I don't see it on the map)
I am not sure :) But I know there are sign pointing the way to C 23 :) So you will definitely find it if you follow the signs :)
Hi brother, i have a layover for 15hours, do i need to collect my luggage for the next transfer, or i don't need to collect it. I will get my visa on arrival, and i don't want to carry my luggage with me. Is this something you know?
If you have your travel in one ticket, they will normally check in your luggage to your final destination. Then you don't need to collect your luggage when doing transit.
How much transfer time did you have ?
I can't remember exactly how long transfer time I had on this trip, but I was to guess I think I had 1 hr 30 min. But to do the actual transit I used only 25 minutes.

No, as long as you don't leave the airport, there is no need for visa.

I have never done this myself, so I am not 100% sure, but I do think you will have to go through the passport control to pick up your luggage. Regarding your visa, Qatar has given 101 countrys visa free entry. You can find more information here ---> visitqatar.com/intl-en/practical-info/visas

Did you have security check when transfer?
Well, that is the funny thing about Hamad Airport. On my travels coming from Oslo going to Bangkok, I have to do a security check in Hamad, but...... when coming from Bangkok going to Oslo, I don't have to do a security check :) I have no idea about the reason for this.

@@mtf4031 Yes :) If no delays or other problems, 1 hour will be enough. If you running late, just tell the ground staff, and they will let you pass the queue, but they will normally check your boarding pass to see how much time you have left.

The train takes you to the beginning of Concourse D and E. So you skipping the walk of the long Concourse C :)

😂😂😂 Yes, that will be enough :) You might wanna consider using a lounge, but the lounges is often very full in Hamad. But, there are plenty of seating area and restaurant throughout the airport :)

Why ? I have no idea. On all my trips arriving Doha from Bangkok, we never have to go through the security control, but arriving Doha from Europe we always have to go through the security control. And I have no idea why. When doing a transit in Doha, you normally don't go through the immigration.
