  • I Made These Items by Molding / Moulding Plastic. It Took Me Several Attempts to Get the Plastic Soft Enough to be Moulded. I Tried Plastic Food Packaging and Acetate Sheets. Acetate Sheets Worked Much Better As They Were Slightly Thinner Than the Food Packaging and They Softened Quickly. You Do Have to Work Fast as the Plastic Will Harden Very Fast. Don't Keep the Plastic Too Close to the Flame as it Might Burn or Discolour it. These Items are Great to Leave Clear to Keep them as Glass Ware. I Tried to Make Cups With the Same Technique but it Failed Miserably. You Need a Vacuum Former for it to Work. I Used Card Instead to Make the Tea Cups.
    Hope You Enjoy Watching! #miniplates #minidishes #miniporcelain #minichina #miniglass #miniceramic

    Very clever! 😘
    You know what esle is good for teeny tiny bowls?
    Pill packets!
    They can be a bit of a pain in the arse getting the foil off, but the plastic gives you a sheet of uniform shaped bowls/cups/plates depending on the size of the pills.
    I love your channel. ❤
    PS: I'm adding one of those circle guides to my ebay basket in a minute. I'm guessing it's a clay tool? You see these things sometimes, but don't have a purpose for them, until you see someone using it and suddenly a whole host of uses comes to mind! 😁

      @tinycraftlife  6 місяців тому

      Thank you very much! Yes, sanding would definitely make them look much better. I tried to sand a few of them but I used a coarse sandpaper. I didn't work that well and left small plastic bits on the edges. I decided not to include it on my video but using a much finer sandpaper would probably work really well. I need to get myself some very fine sandpaper and try again 😊💕

    • @tinycraftlife
      @tinycraftlife  5 місяців тому

      Thank you so much! I experimented with different plastics but Acetate was the best one to use for this technique. It's thin enough to soften quickly and of course see through so that you can see the coins (or any other shape to use). Then it's just up to you how you want to decorate them 😊💕

    • @tinycraftlife
      @tinycraftlife  3 місяці тому

      @@vernicesparks483 I found out that clear acetate sheets were best for this as they softened quicker (I bought mine from the Amazon website) and using the whole sheet of acetate worked best. It took me a few tries to get the best outcome. You can also try clear plastic from different packaging.
