I for one, absolutely adore the commitment to alliteration! I'm impressed that you were able to find a title that worked!👏 Weeb Wednesday maybe isn't as good as Manga Monday, but I gotta say it does have a certain ring to it! Probably the alliteration!😂
Yay an anime video! This year I also watched Suzume and Zom 100. Here’s some things I recommend that I watched this year, also some new and some old. Movies: Look Back Shows: A Sign of Affection Delicious in Dungeon Gakuen Alice Hell’s Paradise My Happy Marriage My Love Story with Yamada-kun Ranma 1/2 (2024) Romantic Killer Yuri on Ice
I definitely want to watch Look Back! I enjoyed the one shot though it had such a sad twist so I’ll have to wait for the right mood 😅 I’m curious about Hell’s Paradise I enjoyed the manga but it kinda disappointed me in the end curious how I’d feel about the anime I’m sure the fights are great though! 😄 Love Gakuen Alice really brings me back such nostalgia Thanks so much for watching and sharing your watches 😊
I love your videos so much! Some good slice of life shows are Hinamatsuri and Buddy Daddies. Some action are tower of god (I don’t recommend s2) and link click. By the way I definitely agree on Frieren it’s probably one of my top animes now and after seeing your list I’ll have to watch Apothecary Diaries.
Thank you so much! 😊 I have had Buddy Daddies on my list to watch forever it looks so cute and funny definitely will try to watch it this year! 🤞 Yes, Frieren made my top favs I’m seriously hoping the second season is just as amazing! Hope you enjoy Apothecary Diaries!! 😁
Wow, the animation for Apothecary Diaries and Suzume is stunning!🤩 Even if they were lacking plot wise, which doesn't sound like the case for Apothecary Diaries, at least, they might be worth watching just for the visual feast for the eyes!
Apothecary Diaries has amazing animation and great characters and support highly recommend! But, I did still enjoy Suzume and as always the animation slaps-so stunning! 🤩
Awesome surprise video! Guess I have to make room on wednesdays now 😂. I'm not an anime watcher so there's not much input I could provide, or so I thought until I saw you put the 02 Movie so low! It's honestly my second favorite Digimon movie (the original being the first of course). In all fairness I really like the 02 crew. Lots of fun memories watching season 02. Plus I'm more of a Davis fan than you are 😝. I liked Last Evolution but the Tri movies kind of left a sour taste in my mouth lol. I usually do prefer anime movies because I'm not good at sitting down and committing to an entire season, but I'll most definitely binge watch Delicious in Dungeon when that gets finished. I wish I could recommend some but I'm a bad anime watcher lol. I'll be relying on you though to help me get back into watching!
Haha 🤣 yes make sure to keep every other Wednesday open now 👍 I mean it’s not really that low it just was not a movie I’d be like you need to watch this if they’ve never even watched Digimon haha Hard to recommend movies that rely on you knowing more about the characters and everything! I liked Kizuna a little more than this one (both definitely better than Tri haha I did warn you though 🤣) but yeah probably bc I’m not the biggest Davis fan! 😅 Well I did watch a lot of movies! You might enjoy A Whisker Away it was pretty cute! ☺️ I definitely like watching an anime movie bc it’s less of a time commitment that’s for sure totally get that haha
@MizzMangaChatz Ohh well yeah I wouldn't recommend any Digimon movie without seeing the original series haha. I'll keep A Whisker Away in mind! It's too bad a Makoto Shinkai movie hasn't lived up to Your Name yet. I haven't seen Suzume though but I'll have to give it a try. All of the movies have great animation but it's the writing that knows how to pull the heartstrings! I'm going to have to give Your Name a rewatch sometime now 😂
So I guess I'll throw in my compulsory mention of Elfen Lied again!🤣 (I promise I won't keep bringing it up😂) I think if you can get past the somewhat weird, a little forced, and probably unnecessary romance/love triangle, you'd enjoy it! There is a ton of nudity, but very little of it felt like fan service to me! I mean, yeah, it was definitely there at points, but I don't remember it being a defining characteristic of the anime even if it was super cringy at moments.😅 That might differ in the manga, though.🤷♂️ There is also that harem aspect to it, where all of these characters are instantly drawn to Kouta(main male character), without much explanation or reason, which I know you said was a big factor for unhauling the manga, but it didn't feel overly gratuitous in the anime to me. His kindness is the thing that draws people to him in the anime, which I feel is a legitimate enough reason to like someone!😅 Those things aside, I thought it was a really dark, sad, and compelling story about acceptance, forgiveness, and the damage wrought by trauma!
This was a lot of fun! Didn’t watch much anime either in 2024 yet my goal is to watch more this year. Movies The Wonderland Perfect Blue Belle Goodbye Don Glees! Holic movie The Cats Return Aura TV Shows Sasaki & Miyano Nana Tench Universe ID Invaded Ping Pong Given Saiyuki First Part
Thanks so much!! Let’s both reach our goals this year!! NANA is like at least equal to 3 anime that shit long and the emotional ride alone takes the toll lol I need to watch Perfect Blue it’s one of those classics that I just haven’t watched 😅 Did you have a specific favorite anime movie?? Definitely looking to watch more 😊
Frieren & The Apothecary Diaries definitely deserve all the praise you gave them 🥳 I also felt the same exact way about Biblophile Princess! First bit was cute but then yeah, they kept just telling us all these things happened in the past leading up to whatever moment and I'm like ???? So I dropped it 😟 If you need any anime recs for 2025 "Your Forma" airs in April 2025. I have 0 bias ofc 🤭😉
They’re were two really amazing anime! 🥰 Yeah…probably should have just dropped it myself tbh 🥲 but glad I’m not the only one who felt like this! Haha 🤣 sounds good I’ll definitely try to keep my eyes out for Your Forma thanks for the rec!! 😁
I didn't watch very much anime this past year either. I think a grand total of only four movies and shows.😅 I watched the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, which I really enjoyed, but unfortunately, the second season was locked behind a pay wall😞 and I didn't want to stream it from some dodgy pirate site. But what I did see was great! A dark series with some really good action and interesting characters! I'm almost tempted to break down and pay for the second season and movie! Almost!🤣 I also watched a few classic Ghibli films that I hadn't seen before. I started off with Castle in the Sky not long after I saw you mention it as your favorite Ghibli film! I had to see what it was about after hearing that! I enjoyed it, but I wish I had watched the sub instead of the dub! I thought James Van Der Beek did a terrible job voice acting Pazu!😅 Everything he says is so stilted and clipped and wooden! The rest of the cast did a good to excellent job, but he was atrocious imo!😅 Other than that one nitpick, I thought it was great! After watching that, I decided to watch Kiki's Delivery Service, and My Neighbor Totoro. Both of which were excellent! Especially My Neighbor Totoro! It's hard for me to touch on what made it so great without writing a super long essay, so I'll just leave it at it was amazing!🤣 Kiki's was really enjoyable too. However, it didn't feel complete to me.😅 It was like the 1st vol or arc of a series! There feels like there's so much more story to explore after the movie ends! And that was the entirety of the anime I watched this year!😅🤣
Yes the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen was very enjoyable especially the second half I really got into it! But, same, haven’t been able to watch the second season yet either 😅 Oh yeah I love Castle in the Sky but agree the voice acting (especially Pazu) are just not the best of the Ghibli films, and it’s such a shame bc it’s one of my favorites but it’s always so cringe listening to him. 😬 By the end I get more used to it but yeah just sucks. Well you at least watched lots of good ghibli films at least this past year always love revisiting those! 😊
Cool! Finally ANIME Video! So excited! I need to give rrcommendations! You need to catch up 🙀🙈🤣 Wethering with you was ...great animation but story didn't get me. Suzume! I love that one. It B-Tier. I even have the soundtrack on vinyl. Apothecary Dieries is chefs kiss. You mentioned 86-Eighty Six, but why is it not on the Tier list 🥺??? The is amaizing. The SSS-Tier. Bibliophile Princess is beautifull animation and good. I eill take it over Demon Slayer every time. Sorry. Not sorry 🤣 Recommend: Garden of Sinners [a must] Ergo Proxy Eve no Jikan Harmony [ movie, Project Ito] Genocidal Organ[movie, Project Ito The Empire of Corpses [Project Ito] Descending Stories s1+s2 Campfire Cooking in Another World... Natsume's Book of Friend Grimgar [slow, worth it] I need to re-start Ajin and Parasite anime and try Psycho-Pass. But now I am obsessed with SOLO LEVELING & KAIJU NR 8.
Weathering you was definitely great animation but a no to the story, just not impactful haha Apothecary Diaries was soooo good!! 😊 Hahaha 😂 well as they say to each their own! I’m happy you enjoyed it 😊
Who doesn’t love a tier ranking video! 👏🏻
Also, love the Digimon Shirt! 😍
I for one, absolutely adore the commitment to alliteration! I'm impressed that you were able to find a title that worked!👏 Weeb Wednesday maybe isn't as good as Manga Monday, but I gotta say it does have a certain ring to it! Probably the alliteration!😂
Haha 🤣 well thanks I’m glad Weeb Wednesday isn’t too bad of a name I just have such a weakness for some fun alliteration lol
keep it man very cosy!!
