2023 in a nutshell: 6 million views, 472k hours of watch time, +40k subscribers, 1 major home renovation complete, -2 family members, sadly; the earth turns, night follows day, and it all starts again. Enjoy it while you can. - Навчання та стиль
I feel better when I see people with alot more skill and experience making mistakes and moving stuff around a cramped space. With all the post editing on YT....you begin to feel like everyone works error free and in a sterile shop where no dust is produced. I dose of reality is needed here and there. Great video.
Thank you! 👍
Just finished my first alcove cabinets at home. The boss is very pleased and so am I 😊
Thanks for all your tips and content. 👌🏻
Happy New Year Peter. Looking forward to your videos in 2024👍👍
Thank you! 👍
Hope 2024 is wonderful for you, Peter.
Thank you! 👍
Thank you.
Hi Peter. Hope you are well. Looking forward to learning more from you in 2024. Cheers.
Thanks, you too!
Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year Peter. Thanks for being you!
Thanks David! All best to you too! 👍
Peter, Prosperous 2024 to you and yours
Thanks Martin - you too! 👍
"Happy well" too.
One of the best DIY , Mini Workshop, YT channels. I always learn something new (including English) and in a relaxed way.
Thank you for another year (and many years to come).
A Zimmermann (Carpenter) from Germany
Genau das! Dir an dieser Stelle auch einen Guten Rutsch!
Thanks, you too! 👍
Happy New Year Peter. Thanks for a great year of shares.
Thank-you for a great year of great content. Wishing you and Mrs 10 minute a fantastic and prosperous new year.
Thank you! Same to you, too! 👍
Lovely little recap of the last year (where ten minutes is never enough). Thank you for the education and entertainment. Your channel in particular among a handful of others has inspired me to try my hand at furniture making and cabinetry moving from full blown renovation into finally making my house more of a home with pieces that fit my vision and available space!
Thank you! All best to you too! 👍
"I'm a track saw guy" ! .... That me laugh, have a great New year celebration Peter, see you in 2024 matey ...!
Thanks, you too! 👍
Happy New Year Peter
Thanks, you too! 👍
Happy New Year!
Thank you! 👍 Same to you!
😅The bad news Peter is the pain only gets worse as you get older!!
Non of the aches and pains were noted in the instructions when I arrived on the scene back in 1948, so don't beat yourself up for slowing down a bit.
Lets hope 2024 is better for us all and the world as well.
Thank you for your excellent videos over the last 12 months.
Thanks! I'd hoped they'd have sorted out all those aches and pains by the time I arrived in 1960... 😂 👍
Thanks Peter. All the best in in 2024 for you & Mrs 10 Minute. Take care & stay safe.
Thanks, you too! 👍
Happy New Year Peter...
Thanks, you too! 👍
Great fun to reflect on all the content you've shared with us again this year Peter ! Would just like to say how much I appreciate the obvious amount of effort you put into creating such consistently high quality content. The thought and effort that goes into even that opening sequence from exiting your house to opening the workshop exemplifies this and simply adds to the entertainment value that exists alongside all the invaluable tips, reviews and build content.
Wishing you a Very Happy New Year and looking forward to much great new output in 2024 !
Hoping you're in a good place with all the renovations to have enjoyed a relaxed and enjoyable family Christmas !
Thanks Andy! Yes, renovation was mostly complete for Christmas, and we had some good family time. Very happy new year to you and yours. 👍
And a Happy New Year to missus 10 minutes as well
She says thank you! And so do I… 👍
Loved the outtakes 😂😂
And yes, the sheets have gotten heavier 😂😂👍
That's what I thought! 😂 👍
I’ve really come to enjoy your channel in 2023, and this vid was the cherry on the sundae! The multi tool montage had me rolling, and the full sheets of plywood debacle reminds me my workspace, and my disdain of full plywood sheets! Although we’re already three days in, I wish you the best in 2024, and please continue producing your excellent videos!
Thank you! While I’d love a huge workshop, but the one I have is relatable to more viewers, I think! And happy new year to you too! 👍👍
Now Peter, find that bottle opener , and put it to good use, all the best for 2024, Take care👍
Thanks, you too! 👍 🍻
Your channel was one of my better discoveries in 2023, really pushing me to think outside the small little box I have to fit my shop into.
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy 2024.
Thanks, you too! 👍
Nice compilation mate 👍
Cheers Dan! 👍
Thank you for another year of showing us ways to get it done!
Thank you! 👍
Thanks for 12 months of great entertaining and informative videos.
Have a happy and healthy new year.
Thank you! You too! 👍
Happy new year, Peter!!! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you, same to you too! 👍
Peter, thank you for all your videos, always fun, educational, and interesting, long may you keep 'em coming. Happy new year to you and yours, cheers.
Thank you, you too! 👍
I really wasn't sure how you were gonna get out of that hole! Hope you've had a nice Christmas, and wishing you a great 2024
Never occurred to me that it might be hard to get out of, lol! 😂👍
Thanks for the many videos Peter! And I dear to vote you to be the most well dressed woodworker on YT!
I’m a 24/7 “shirt man” myself, never a day or situation without😅. Happy new year!
Haha, thank you! I do like a shirt with a collar, even if work casually. 👍
Fun one! Thanks again for 2023 and a Happy New Year!
Thanks, you too! 👍
Happy New Year Peter!
Thanks, you too! 👍
Peter, have a great New Year!
Thank you! You too! 👍
All the best for 2024!
Thanks, you too! 👍
I've just found your channel and I'm loving it. Will you be making a video in the new year comparing mdf to plywood for kitchen wall cabinets? I'm interested to see if the mdf bottoms would be strong enough for dishes and the like.
Thanks! No, I’m afraid that’s not something I plan on covering; plywood and MDF kitchen cabinets are pretty unusual here in Britain, where the vast majority are a form of particle-board, either melamine faced or veneered. Having made many cabinets from MDF I’d say that provided they’re appropriately constructed, they’ll be fine. HTH. Peter
Where can I buy one of those small scrate strewdrivers? 😂
Best DIY channel on YT, I built my kitchen on the strength of it and it tuned out really well.
Thank you.
😂🤦♂️ Thanks! 👍
Fun bloopers! Now, how close did you come to throwing that smallrig across the room? Happy new year!
Very! 😂 And thanks, happy new year to you too! 👍
Thanks for sharing Peter, great review. Happy New Year to you and Mrs 10 Minutes. 🥳 Regards Mike
Thanks Mike, same to you too! 👍
Happy and safe New Year to you and yours my friend. I've enjoyed your content even if you had to film it more times than a sane man can stand. BTW, mind those deep holes in the garden, they get harder to get out of the older we get.
Thanks, you too! And yes - of all the hazards around the 'big build' getting out of a hole in the ground wasn't one that had occurred to me might be a problem! 😂
Loving the content Peter, Happy new year, not sure have you already done a video on this, if not I would love to see what you use to make your videos, cameras setup, how long it takes to narrow it down and editing, all your hard work for a 10/20 minute clip
Thanks, you too! 👍 I haven't done a 'how I make my youtube videos' video for many years and everything has changed since then. I've actually just changed camera platforms for the first time, so I'm still getting to grips with it a little bit. I did a video for Plus members about the workflow - shooting, cataloging, backups etc.. - that came out of conversations with some of the other guys I know here on youtube, but tbh it's a pretty niche topic for a woodworking and workshop channel, so not sure of the broader appeal. If you send me a message through the website at 10minuteworkshop.com I'll send you a link to the workflow video, if that's of interest? Cheers, Peter
@@10MinuteWorkshop thanks for the reply Peter, it’s something that always interests me when creators make videos with work flow and how they do it and what equipment they use, not sure would it be a wide audience interest, yes that would be very interesting Peter, I will send an email, thank you
Would love to see a review of the Keilverbinder joinery system in 2024 and how that stacks up against other similar systems such as the peanut jig
I had samples a little while ago, and wasn’t overly impressed tbh. Unfortunately it’s not a product that you can easily get here in the UK either. 🤷♂️👍
WATCING YOU HANDLE WITH THAT 4X8XMDF IN YOUR small SHOP IS PAINFUL HAVE A GREAT 2024
WITH MANY MORE VIDEOS THANX RICK
But relatable, right? 😂 Thanks Rick! 👍
Peter, or subscribers could I ask if you know the size of T track that will fit a standard Festool clamp and where I get these from. There seems so many sizes of T track out there.
Yes, it’s a bit of a minefield! I recommend this one from Peter Sefton at woodworkers workshop - woodworkersworkshop.co.uk/auktools-t-track-regular-1219mm-48/
It’s the only one that comes in 4’ / 1220mm lengths. Rutlands do one as well, but they switched to 1-metre lengths, which is a bit rubbish if you want to build eg an MFT. HTH. P
Triton doweler 😂
😂 To be fair, apart from the knuckleheaded design decisions, this one does work tolerably well. 🤷♂️
Hi Peter. Can you let me know which of your videos if you can remember is the best example of your plinth installs with the litttle blocks screwed to the plinth and floor etc. I’ve just watched the in praise of plinths but this was the build and design. I know I’ve seen it multiple times having binged all videos over the last couple of years but can’t remember where the plinth install stuff was. I should have bookmarked them somehow. All the best. Dave
Hi Dave. Any of the installs that had a plinth I usually show the process. Most recent would have been the ikea wall cabinet on video 528. My last install was another - starts video 417 - and way back the install part of the alcove unit series, video 097 I think? HTH P
They keys dinging together reminded me of your old intro sound. Intentional? Or just random sounds?
Just random sounds. 👍
What kind of joint is that at 1:11?
What is the name of the video it’s from?
It's a simple rebate joint, just angled; it's from the 'simple monitor stand' video - ua-cam.com/video/DFAAO4c4bsg/v-deo.html 👍
@@10MinuteWorkshop Thanks Peter
Thanks for the laughs, the bloopers and the great videos, Peter. Happy New Year to you and Mrs. 10 minute !
Great video Peter! Im in stitches here!! Looking forward to more in 2024.
Thanks! More to come… 👍
What type of screwdriver Peter?🤣
Small and slotted. Eventually… 😂😂👍
Next acquisition an auto- cue…and a nice little blade free gjtzffblucd oh b****x..!!!!
This was *with* autocue… 😬🤷♂️
@@10MinuteWorkshop I feel your pain pete.!! After recently turning 60 yrs old I can confirm it only gets worse!!! But on a positive note EBAY purchase Makita track saw spares or repair £ 70.00 arrives looking like new.! Quick phone call still under warranty..😂💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Bitty in the extreme Peter?
I’ll go with ‘snappy’ Dave - you take eight hours of content and condense it to 10 minutes, and that happens. First version ran to ~28 minutes and was the dullest thing you’d never watch… 🤷♂️
