I think its the Bloodborne esc white health and the special gauges that incentivizes you to keep to offensive to even the odds or get ahead.

Wish they would make two versions of T8. The normal one and one without the heat system and recoverable health. I'd get the second version. The more I see of the heat system the more I hate it and wish it was gone completely lol.

I feel like a more competitive variant of this format should be the default. To prove you are the best tekken player in the world, you should prove your skill with multiple characters.

Hmm. A tad. I think most of us are technical appreciators and get hype over micro instances of skill. Personally, all the flashy stuff is distracting. However I can see from a casual perspective that it might seem cool.
Animations are certainly better to look at in regards to special heat stuff and rage but yeah it's alright all around

I can't say for sure which match was epic because it might be subjective and differ for some but the most funny match was Knee VS Arslan lol...the dude was laughing the entire time.

I think the reason why old tekken players like Knee dominate over lowhigh is because tekken 8 aggresive play is very similiar to tekken 5's. and players like knee from back then, or qudans excell in this type of tekken. So the newer players like arslan or lowhigh as an example get completly blown over
I would argue the opposite. Koreans have adopted a defensive playstyle over the last couple of years - and the aggressive pakistani playstyle is hard for the koreans to adapt to beat. Thus tekken 8 is, as it currently stands, better suited for pakistani/some japanese playstyles
Tekken 8 feels like a completely different Tekken game. It relies so heavily on footsies now. I can see a lot of SF players to jump on Tekken
