It is against b1, qcb1, almost every heavy hitting move he has. Only 2 things you really have to watch out for is his orbital and 1+2. When you play against a Bryan that loves to jail into df2, im able to step electric that shit constantly. All depends on the Bryan you’re playing. Just like with kaz having bad tracking, making the adaptation and using wavu into cd3, b4, or wave electrics are pretty good at deterring people from stepping.
@BruceNorrin it's true yet people don't do it. Everyone knows what to do, they just don't do it well. Similar to a life quote I heard. "Its not that its hard to do, infact many things are easy. Difference is how well you do it"

As a Kazuya/Jun main out of every character I play against I feel so relaxed fighting against Kazuya. Easy as hell to beat with my defensive playstyle.
For me Kazuya is a matchup I'm really eager to learn because my biggest weakness is movement especially sidestepping... I can't quite comprehend the z axis whenever I play... and as a king main my choice of character certainly doesn't help improve it with his piss poor movement... it was very smart of Tekken to make the face of the game, kazuya, have quite a huge emphasis on the big selling of Tekken, the 3D movement. Not only is he a defensive character with a few very powerful moves while side stepping, he is also weak to it.
The more you pressure Kazuya the more you eat DF2… 1. Kazuya has bad pokes but in return you can’t poke kaz too much. Most 13frame df1s are atleast minus 1 on block. You get one blocked next one is heading for a clash with df2. 2. Sidewalk left is BS in this game kaz has better tracking and he has a homing mid from crouch dash. 3. He has best 50/50 great heat buttons and best punishment. 4. So how you beat kazuya is by playing better.
Another super powerful option select for kazuyas 50/50 is hitting him out of it. All of his big vortex tools are 20+ frame startup. You can get a lot of mileage off of waking up into a fast ch or poke. Of course this will open you up to getting ch by df:2 so you have to be careful.
Yeah df 2 is painful. Pretty quick in my opinion. Most of the time that’s the main counter that gets me when I use optimal moves that are a bit too slow.
