Beautiful! I thought you applied heat to the copper but you actually used the iron to melt the solder and held the iron on the copper. I learn new stuff everyday!

Great video, but is that it? You solder and then it's done? I just took a lead class and we had to putty and polish after.

I've seen what looks like silver foil around edges of glass but can't seem to find this on line. Everything seems to be copper. Is there silver? Thanks from Maine USA

How do you turn around your work after you soldered one side?

If you've soldered all of one side, it's all held together, you just flip it over.

Can you tell me which solder you use.

60-65% Sn (tin), the rest is Pb (plumbum). But you should use special foil tape on the glass edges before soldering actually.

Nice play of words:) in this case the glass is already ''stained'(colored)to be able to stain it more I would need a special glass oven that reaches a temperature of at least 600°C because the colors(made from glass compounds)fusion with the glass when baked, this is a project you can do if you find a specialized workshop in your local area, but this is a DIY project :)°b°°°

I HELPED A FRIEND WHO USE TO DO STAIN GLASS BY PUTTING COPPER FOIL AROUND HER PIECES SHE CUT OUT. HER HUSBAND WAS MUCH OLDER THAN HER AND THEY HAD A BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER. THEY LIVED IN ONE OF THOSE LARGE HOUSES IN FT WORTH ,TEXAS. IT WAS MASSIVE AND HER HUSBAND WAS QUITE WEALTHY AND IT WAS HIS FAMILY HOME. THEY LOVED EACH OTHER VERY MUCH AND HER WINDOWS EARNED THEM A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY.
I WENT WITH HER TO A CLASS AND WHERE THEY SOLD DIFFERENT TYPES OF GLASS. NOW I CAN ONLY DO IT WITH RESIN,AS I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY SHE DID MAKING STAINED GLASS WINDOWS. SHE GOT CLIENT'S THROUGH HER HUSBAND AND REPUTATION. HER WORK WAS AMAZING. I OFTEN WONDERED IF THEY HAD MORE CHILDREN AND DID HER DAUGHTER FOLLOW HER MOTHER'S FOOTSTEPS.
I WILL HAVE TO PAINT A PICTURE OF A STAIN GLASS WINDOW AND MAKE IT AS A TRIBUTE TO HER. SHE TOOK MY MIND OFF THE ABUSE I GOT OFF MY FIRST HUSBAND AND GAVE ME SOMETHING TO REMEMBER AND YOUR VIDEO REMINDS ME OF HER. I REMEMBER WHERE THEY LIVED IN FORT WORTH, BECAUSE A WHORE HOUSE WAS ONE OVER ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE WHERE I LIVED WITH TWO OTHER FAMILIES. IT WAS A BITTERSWEET MEMORY, BUT I WAS TO ADOPT MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER AT THREE MONTH'S OLD ABOUT A YEAR LATER. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE LIVING IN THAT CITY. RENTS AND RATES WERE HIGH IN THAT STATE.
WE MOVED TO NORTH DAKOTA DURING A BLIZZARD. THE STORM WAS HORRENDOUS. I NEVER SEEN SO MUCH SO , BUT SENSE I WILL SEE THAT AGAIN. I FEEL UK IS GOING TO BE LIKE NORTH DAKOTA IN THE 80'S WITH SNOW WAIST DEEP IN PLACES AND GETTING MORE AND MORE COLDER AND THAT IS GOING TO REALLY MAKE THE BEAST FROM THE EAST LOOK LIKE A WHIMPER. EAST ANGLIA INCLUDING NORWICH WILL EXPERIENCE LONG, WHITE WINTER'S LIKE THE SIXTIES AND EVEN LONGER. I DO KNOW STAIN GLASS LOOKS REALLY NICE IN THE WINTER , BECAUSE OF HOW LOW THE SUN IS ON THE HORIZON. I LOVE PICTURES OF STAINED GLASS WINDOW'S AGAINST A WHITE BACKGROUND. A CHURCH IN A WINTER SCENE WITH BEAUTIFUL STAINED GLASS WINDOW'S REALLY ARE BEAUTIFUL ,ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE PHOTOGRAPHED IN A PARTICULAR THAT SHOWS YAHUSHUA HA'MOSHIACH, CLEANING EARTH WITH BLANKET OF SNOW WITH A STAINED GLASS PICTURE OF YAHUSHUA HA'MOSHIACH ELOHIYM WITH HIS DISCIPLES OR ONE OF HIS BIRTH IS BEAUTIFUL IN A CHURCH BLANKETED IN SNOW.

Well, this is one of the "how to not make a stained glass" method.. Almost everything its wrong.

I'm new to this glass cutting foiling the same but never seen the pattern built up like this before

@@chrisjones3901 because is wrong. I do stained glasses from 30 years, with lead and Tiffany style, and what I see here is pretty wrong. Well, I ythink they don't really want to share the real methods of making stained glass :)

Repet, modul de lucru in acest film e cel putin partial gresit, in sensul ca este complicat inutil. In atelierul meu n-as permite cuiva sa piarda timpul in modul acesta. Probabil este facut de un amator entuziast, pentru alti amatori. Si cu asta, basta. Va las sa savurati filmul in liniste.
