If you are an independent artist/in a band/ know someone in a band that needs an opportunity to be heard - Email: ⚠️DFBusinessEnquiries@gmail.com⚠️
for an opportunity to have a 30 second snippet of your work aired at the beginning of one of my videos!🤘🏼

Hope you guys don’t mind the long ass videos, quite hard to avoid when Tool are dropping 15 minute masterpieces to be fair 🤣
This video is fine. Don't even worry about it
Hell nah, you're killing it dude keep it up
The long vids are fine...tool fans know what to expect.
You should really go back to headphones, though...you're missing so much
If you want to listen to Chancellor and an amazing Tool song, listen to Tool - The Pot
It felt like 5 mins lol
Apparently it took 23 years to write this song. The original riff was written in the 90s and they tried to use it on each album since. They didn't get the accompanying riff right until this release.
Everyone says “ Danny Carey Danny Carey” but this song is all the legend Adam Jones!
This whole album is practically the Adam show and that's a good thing.
Pnuema is the Danny Carey show.
Adam cut loose on this album , and its amazing
Justin Chancellor not getting enough love again I see.
4 minute guitar solo!
TOOL marinates you, then throws you in the fire, then lets you rest, then carves you up and serves you.
Nice. Great comment
amazing analogy for a food geek tool lover like myself
Epic comment!
richard W that somehow actually makes sense haha
@richard W NICE!
So far, 7empest is the finest piece of adam jones's artistic guitar playing in his whole career ! Beat that
Tool is one of the most pro-bass bands you'll hear in your life
Well said
And Primus (for obvious reasons)... but yeah can't compete with the sound of a Wal.
One of the reasons I love Tool
If you loved 7empest, you will love the rest of Tools older material. Fans are describing 7empest as a mix of the various eras of Tool, from early stuff to alter stuff. Its kind of sounds like it was influenced by every tool album in a way.
Oh, and tool definitely has lots of music as heavy as this. The new album is the least heavy tool album.
This album will give them another Grammy.
Stiff competitopn thos yeat
unfortunately i don't think so...people who vote for grammy are dumbassess
I read it as Germany 😂😂
They couldn’t give a fuck less about Grammys. They don’t need validation. They are the bar that bands strive to reach
Dude I thought you said Germany at first lmao, holy shit.
On the contrary man, it sounds like Maynard, just Maynard from 1993 lol.
I came here to say this. It's crazy that this is Drew's third TOOL song ever
#rock hall of fame for TOOL......Vote yes!
a matter of time
Hall of fame is bullshit..Pure crap in it these days
In an interview Danny Carey commented on how proud of Adam he was for finally "letting go" and going off and "showing off" as some would say his master skill. GO ADAM!! LEGENDARY 🤘🎶❤
Starting to think that this might be one of the best hard rock tracks ever recorded. There's everything in it. Absolutely everything.
My playlist consists of Tool, APC, Puscifur ... Maynard is a special dude.
Chris Cary he’s on a whole ‘nuther level
This is a throwback to early 90s Tool vibes
I appreciate that you pointed out that Maynard is just like another instrument in the band. Without all of the 4 tool would not be - they are all equal. They are four people who are absolutely amazing at what they do, and when they put something together it is mind blowing.
11:40 "I forgot Maynard existed" haha, I had the same reaction first time I heard it.
Metallica vibes, slipknot vibes? Nah man just Tool vibes. Each to their own haha.
They do have heavy influence from Meshuggah on the last few albums.
TOOL wins Best Metal Performance for “7empest” at 62nd Grammys 2020!
No, your reactions are great. They are genuine. What I click off from is when people "turn on" their YT personalities and it almost seems like instead of truly reacting or just being still, they are more interested in entertaining their audience. I'm sorry for blowing up your comment section, lol, but I just wanted to offer a little reassurance.
Thank you, always great to hear people think you're doing something right!
Miss G u speak the honest truth as does Drew here. Over reaction videos get clicks but they’re not genuine. Drew is more honest and ppl will stay and watch.
"This is something I have not listened to from Tool"
You need a little "Prison Sex" or "Jambi" in you life.
Agreed! Or The Grudge or Aenima or Third Eye or Ticks & Leeches or Prison Sex or ... , etc. ;)
He needs some 72826
Yep, this song is a blend of all of Tool's older styles!
I believe Justin said they used riffs on this that predated him joining the band. So here's something old for the new TOOL fans. :)
Sounds exactly like the best vocalist to walk the earth... Maynard James Keenan.
"Adam Jones - three times Grammy awarded musician"
With only 4 albums (their latest not included of course) this is actually even more a feat...
"Oh, my goodness." Yup. Pretty much. This song is a psilocybin hurricane.
If you like heavy, you need to listen to Jambi
First time hearing this song. Anyone else listening to it for the first time as Drew does? Makes for a weird experience and connection to the music and fellow reaction folk. Love it. Tool rocks.
I’ve just gotten to the end of the album, I’ve been taking my time with each song and I am astounded by this song. It is so good!! Just an epic song! Love, love it!
You don’t listen to TOOL, You experience them by hearing there Music flow through your brain like art and wow their visuals are bad ass 👍🏻🤘🏻😊🎸
"Oh my goodness"
Adam didn't have to flex on us like that.
Tool are an equal opportunity artistic compilation of musicians who are each masters at their craft, and each hold their own in this amazing cohesive unit of a band. (Including Justin!! His bass lines are incredible.) 🖤
It's worthwhile to go back and check out their song Third Eye, if yer looking to get overwhelmed.
He already reacted to that one
I love how many times his sentences where cut short by sheer awe lol.
Adam Jones was practicing with Kirk Hammett for this song, so you're not far off with the Metallica vibes at all!
Been waiting on you to see this one. I've been a Tool junkie since the beginning, I can't even begin to tell you what it feels like having new music from them after all of this time!
Be sure and check out some of the older stuff, too.
The song is so fucking great. The guitar just washes all over you....mesmerizing.
Fun fact: before Tool, Adam was apparently heavily involved in the special effects, makeup, design for a number of movies. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 & 5 (I think), Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, Edward Sissorhands, etc.
This is what their songs on the album Undertow sound like IMO.
The Bass in Tool stands out a lot. I think a lot of the time you think you're hearing the guitar when it's the bass. Justin has a very brite sounding bass and plays it more like a guitar in many parts of songs. And a lot of the time Adams plays the guitar like a bass. A prime example is the intro of The Grudge which is heavily bass driven. And also, listen to Reflection from the Lateralus album. Once again, lots of awesome bass work by Justin.
I love seeing love for Justin. :)
This song is like a journey through the first album, all the way to the last. amazing song
Did you know that Adam (TOOL) played in a high school band with Tom Morello (Rage Against the Macine)?
Tom's mom was Adams homeroom teacher.
@@Jremo1979 Could you imagine if Tom joined in on a jam session with Adam, Danny and Justin.
He wanted Maynard to sing for RATM originally
@@yuibot5998 I'd like a peek in on that alternate Universe!
@@Itsunclegabby Yeah that would be cool as hell!
I agree with what you said about tuning out with Tool songs. You have to just relax, release your mind, and let the music wash over you. I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm tripping when I really surrender to the music. Some good weed helps, too.
I’m sure you’ve already heard but they won a Grammy for this song. Well deserved.
Justin is amazing.... the first time I saw them live, it blew my mind how much of what I thought was guitar and effects is ACTUALLY bass. You’d be surprised.
How could you not enjoy this? Mr. Adam Jones and the whole gang are killing it. OMFG WOW!!!
Must hear songs:
Right In Two
Rosetta Stoned
You Lied (cover)
No Quarter (cover)
Jimmy
The Grudge
Eulogy
"kinda sounds like a German dictator" I laughed my ass off on that comment - Die Eier Von Satan :D
Adam Jones’s song. Shredding amongst the gods in this one holy hell the man can play. He and Danny really accentuate each other here. Much like Bonham and Page did that made up Led Zeps sound.
Adam has entered the realm of rock gods
I feel like there was parts of Flood in there on purpose, a tempest leading to the flood. Honestly gorgeous
There's not many words to describe this song and the album in general. They've just raised the bar again in 2019.
Don't worry about people leaving crappy mean comments. Always do you.
I enjoy your reaction videos. Tool is one of those bands that is fun to show people that have never heard their stuff. I find that you don't overreact. A lot of youtubers do that, and it makes it seem like they're not actually enjoying themselves, oddly enough. Anyways, can't wait until you get to their back catalog. There's plenty of "angry" sounding stuff to be heard.
A tempest must be just that
Dont stress man! Doing a great job!!! Awesome to watch a new tool fan develop!!!! And trust me, this is only the entry to the rabbit hole! It's a long glorious spiral!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
Welcome to the Rabbit Hole, great reaction. Keep it up. The last 5 minutes of Invincible are absolutely brutal. Invincible next!?
Keep up the good work. I like the way you absorb the music. You still got alot of tool music to get too and will watch more. Thanks for taking in new music so that many others can. Plus always good to see the next generation getting into tool. Rock on
watched it to the end, amazing bad as always, really genuine reaction. I love your reactions because you're doing you and you're not trying to do anything else, it's genuine and you're not just praising the band for views, but actually reacting to the music.
Wrong! You experienced it the way it is supposed to be experienced. It's a whole vibe and you're reaction video was the same as me watching first time. It was dope to feel my first reaction to it and watch you vibing and reacting with the same feels. And idgaf what people comment on my comment because I don't check back. Great video and thanks man!
I listened to the whole album (with bonus tracks) earlier....just...wow!! Tool have earned themselves a new fan here!
7empest to me (and to a bunch of people) sounds like an amalgamation of Tool's signature sounds and evolution. It starts out with a heavy ass riff straight out of Undertow or Anima. Then we have some airy and mellow yet heavy riffs reminiscent of Laterlus or 10,000 days (6:01 this sounds like something off of The Pot).
What Rosetta Stoned is to Danny Carey, 7empest is to Adam Jones. He truly lets loose.
This song sounds like it takes a lot of inspiration from Undertow, their first major album. If you ever go back and listen to it, then come back to this song, you’ll notice the similarities.
The comment about Maynard blending in is spot on!! Their intention is to blend together equally. It's a tremendous thing. One of the reasons that they are the gods of of music. Not metal, not rock, not anything but perfect
Hope you continue down the Tool rabbit hole after you finish this album
The rabbit hole never ends…
Hehe, try schism...it's considered one of the best bass riffs of all time.....Tool is considered bass heavy, you haven't even scratched the surface with this band....
Every time I hear it I start singing along... seriously 😂
Literally what I said while watching when he called Justin out "for the first time".
The first part with the overdriven guitar is very much like their first albums from the early 90s. Listen to the Opiate and Undertow albums. And also songs like Stinkfist from Aenima.
Check out songs like Swamp Song, Crawl Away, Jerk Off, etc by them.
I think you don't think it sounds like Maynard because you haven't listened to any early Tool yet
Lmao this intro is hilarious.
52k? Good on you, new guy! I'm one of them. Just do you and keep giving me a place to watch reactions to all the bands I like 🥴
Also, no doubt someone has said it already, but 7empest absolutely harkens back to Tool's early days (Undertow album era). Listen to that album and you'll see the difference from the Tool that you know. The crazy thing is that it all still sounds like unmistakably Tool. Hell yeah.
You know you can just sit there and enjoy the experience. You dont have to say a word brother.
Dude you totally nailed your description of this song!!!
Hoping we get another album in the next few years. Thanks for posting!
Hard to imagine an album after THIS.
I think you're ready for Lost Keys + Rosetta Stoned. Gotta do 'em together like Parabol and Parabola. Also Third Eye. Then Wings for Marie into 10,000 days. Also consecutive. Then you're fully initiated as a TOOL fan.
I've always said TOOL is meditative metal. That relaxed reaction is pretty common with their music, even the heavier stuff. They have a knack for taking you places with their music.
This song actually reminds me of 93 96 tool. Need to check out some older stuff brother. Killing these reactions brother. 👍
Loved your reaction ❤️🤘
This song had him shook
Good shit, Drew. Watched all the way through, great take on it.
I think you'll really dig Stinkfist, Aenima, Pushit, 46&2, etc, all on the Aenima album.
Imagine how long you would have to jam together to be able to play that tight/well together.....
And they still have their issues as a band.
Great reaction man!!Great song great band!!
I'm a simple man, I see TOOL, I click.
This is very reminiscent of old Tool mixed with the signatures of their new stuff.
1 grammy for this song actually!
This song reminds me of #TOOL’s AEnima album. Namely the song H. Btw, the sound in your car sounds fantastic. And a friendly reminder, folks don’t listen to TOOL, folks experience TOOL. 🌀🌀🌀🌀
It sounds like early Maynard... That's why this song harkens back to their roots
That and Adam has been waiting since 1995 to use the guitar riff that's in this song...
Exactly. And it's funny Drew mentions Maynard sounding German, since Die Eier von Satan.
@@psukebariah3435
Ah yes , the Cookie Recipe song..
This is a perfect mix of old and new tool all mixed into one to create this beautiful creature we are now being immersed in...this is now my new favorite out of so many from the musical geniuses!
Great as always Drew. Nice seeing you lying back getting lost in the music and appreciating the little details. You staying a bit quiet is good. Seeing people over react for the viewers is understandable but a bit old and can feel fake when you know people wouldn’t ordinarily react that way if nobody was watching. You strike a good balance.
surprise it's raining in Ireland haha.. greetings from Canada, Ireland is my dream land
"I feel like I've been here for weeks..." Perfect.
2:18 Drew: 15 minutes...this is gonna conk me out. 😴💤
3:17 Tool: Nope!
😂
They spent 9am-5pm Mon-Thurs for THREE YEARS, in the studio, creating this album
@Drew Fortune This is before you heard Opiate. That's the angriest tool album. With some of that anger flooding over into Undertow. I know you gravitate towards more recent Tool albums. They started out much more raw and metallish.. Each album gets more and more proggy. I love it all as I started listening to Undertow and Opiate.
Nice art work btw thanks for the reaction from Winnipeg
The greatest band over multi-generations is TOOL. Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Metallica, and some others come to mind but musically and timing signatures...TOOL all day long!
don't forget zeppelin man
You forgot Rush
Justin Chancellor is the only non American in the band, he's a bit of cockney but with a softened accent. Interesting guy to listen to, very connected to the music as are all the band.
Tool's bass parts actually covers a lot more tones and sounds than is typical from an electric bass, so much so you'd think that sound is coming from a guitar or synth or something. Adam probably gets more credit for riffs that are actually coming from Justin.
Engine off ? Battery died after this one 100% 🔥
Maynard uses his voice and lyric choices (sound) as another instrument to compliment the band.
This is my favourite song from the album
For me it's fighting vs descending
Adam's solo is four minutes long. It's so beautiful.
"I forgot Maynard exsisted"😄😄
After a solo from Adam like that, I can see how. Lol
This is a great video! Great song! (I know you're experiencing great car acoustics that don't translate well to video, unfortunately.) Haha! You just discovered the most awesome bass player, Justin Chancellor! And Maynard's growl! Which he uses much more in earlier albums. And you've had great things to say about Danny Carey all along. Eventually you will discover Adam Jones is the best guitarist in the world. Not for any particular skill, though he has innovated several techniques, but his song writing is fantastic! Ha! Even as I'm writing this you're showing Adam Jones picture on your phone. Perfect timing! You should see my reaction to your reaction right now! Ha!
Best song on the album. The only songs that come close are invincible and descending... and mockingbeat :-)
Most of this song could have sat right on Undertow and noone would have questioned it!
But, condensed into 4 or 5 minutes.
This is just the recorder being accidentally left on while Adam, Danny and Justin were jamming and MJK speaking wisdom near the microphone .
This album Adam shines more than usual in my opinion. Justin shines more Lateralus. Good reaction bro. Listening to Tool trains your mind to catch all the hidden layers and special nuances they bring their albums. Good reaction man 👊
