One of my favorite things about you is how many hand-dyed yarns you use - they look SO GOOD, so unique, and so special! I cannot wait to see you rocking another Kal cardigan!
The Kal cardigan is really nice and i reallly appreciate how you talk a bit about how the sweater is made - it helps me think about if i would want to purchase the pattern - i also like how you plan things and get them done - it is inspiring to me since I am not a planner at all ! Anyways take care from Canada 🇨🇦
Oh boy! I’m working on two sweaters right now - saw this- had to have it! Now I will have 3 sweaters, 2 pr socks, and 2 cowls on needles! I have bags to quilt and cross stitching to do along with my floss tubes. Argggghhhh. 😂😂 Thanks for sharing so much detailed info. I will be referencing your video often while making this one. Nice to meet you! 😊 Beck
Great vlog as always! Your stick season turned out so well and I’m glad you’re still working through your sweet shop blanket, because I’m interested to see the end result. I think it’s great you’re exploring a new way to knit with a couple different projects at the same time. I usually have 2-3 on the go, and I actually find it keeps me more mentally engaged in each, because when I’m bored or annoyed with one project, I can take a break and work on something else, and come back to it when I’m ready. While not the true definition of monogamous, I consider it monogamous because I don’t allow myself to cast on more projects until one or more is finished (this also helps me hone in on my projects and make sure I don’t have too many on the go). I hope it works out, and happy knitting!
Hi Leslie!! Great podcast episode, and so many beautiful projects😊 I am also changing from being a monogamous knitter last year to casting on a second sweater before actually finishing the first, and honestly this year I'm committed to do more of what makes me happy, so I'm just following the joy. So if I get exited to finish the first sweater I might focus on it for a week maybe and totally get it done so I can wear it, but if I want to have fun and make some progress to my new sweater then I'll do it, no problems!🎉
Hi Leslie, Absolutely LOVE your Cozy Flannel worsted yarn. It's looking great in the Kal Cardi you are knitting. I checked out Claire Jackson in Ravelry and ended up buying her pattern Compass Sweater Light as I've been looking for a vneck sweater I like in worsted gauge. I love her details on the sweater! Thanks for your tips!!!!!! Great episode. BTW your Rebecca Clow sweater looks great on you and when you add sleeve length (not too painful) it will make you so happy. And I relate about getting sick of looking at a color yarn, that's why I like having more than 1 project on the needles!!!! Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay area 😘❤🐶🐑☕🧵🪡🧶
I enjoyed the podcast as always! I’m so glad you use your stitch marker! It makes me so happy 🥰 also, I’m getting an advent in sometime in the next month or so and I’m going to be knitting a sweet shop blanket! It’s an Avatar advent so I’m excited to see the color palette!
Watching it now and Love it!! For the leftover scraps from the advent minis, I’m making little ornaments and tassels and I’m either going to make a garland with it or keep them as regular ornaments for my Christmas tree next year!
On your Stick Season sweater, you can't even see where you picked up stitches for the sleeves! Very nice job - looks beautiful! I have been monogamous knitter in the past, but last couple of months I've been keeping 2-3 on the needles at a time. Hardest thing about it is not seeing the progress that you see when only having one project at a time! I'm going to continue for a few months and then decide.
I’ve only been doing this for a couple weeks now (LOL), but I’ve been breaking down each project into sections like right front, half the back panel, rows 10-20, etc. and then righting those down in a checklist in my journal so I at least feel like I’m making a bit of progress when I get a section complete! I’ve also been using the progress keeper method to see visual progress! So far, so good haha
@knitcalifornia that's a great idea! You are much better at detailed tracking than I am! I just starting putting projects into Ravelry and at least writing down what I have made. Nearly all of my knits are for other people so if I don't take a pic, it's forgotten!
Thanks for the honesty regarding the sleeves on the Stick Seasons. I was considering making but I don't care for "fitted" sleeves. FYI, I think the Skyline Sweater is on your make 9. I found, for me, that sweater's yoke is too shallow, and the sleeves are very tight. Birch and Lilly also commented that the sleeves are tight.
I am so happy to find your podcast. I bought the sweetshop blanket pattern but didn't realise there were short rows, any advice on best videos to learn how, I am capable of picking up stitches ...yours is beautiful by the way 🎉
I would recommend this tutorial from Very Pink Knits. And the good thing about practicing them on this blanket is that you do them for every square, and when you look at the finished blanket as a whole, any tiny mistakes will basically be invisible! ua-cam.com/video/52qy8OOb-s0/v-deo.html
I’m casting on my first cardigan this week! I’m making the Luz Cardigan by Emilie Luis on Ravelry, the yarn is called Wonderland yarns (superwash fine merino, cashmere, nylon ) held with Lang superkid mohair silk] Oh My! I never noticed the color name > it is called Pool of Tears 😅 uh oh I hope I don’t end up like that 😬🧶💫. I love your swatch for the Ingrid Sweater 😍 harvest moon 🌙, love the name too ! Happy Knitting Leslie 🤘🏼
I am also knitting the Ingrid Sweater atm. I went for Peer Gynt. I'm about 6 weeks in and just joined in the round though (suuuuuuuper slow). Excited to follow your progress on this!! Have you decided which neck edge you are gonna do? I just noticed recently that there are instructions in the pattern for only one of the neckline options, and it's not the one I want😶🌫️ I'm sure it won't be too tricky to figure out 😅🤍
Right now I’m thinking of just doing a 1x1 folded neckline! I definitely don’t think I want the double collar with the 2x2 then the 1x1. I think that would make it too warm for me
I am a pretty monogamous crafter as well, and it is kinda too much that I have already a wrap shirt and my temperature blanket AND a dress to sow where the buttons are still missing. I think I want to focus on the blanket for now.
You are a ray of sunshine, much needed here in snowy Buffalo, NY

Your sweater is beautiful and fits you perfectly. You have a lot of projects lined up but they will all be fun and gorgeous.
Omg that hot pink cove sweater is going to be absolutely incredible
If you need a video idea… I’d love a tour of your yarn stash. I’m in love with all the bright colors and would love to find some new dyers to follow.
Stay tuned! 👀

Awsome projects
Love your stick season!! And you are making me want to make a KAL cardigan too!!
The Kal is such a fun knit!

Thank you! 😁😁😁

Ooo that’s going to be so fun and make such a great sweet shop blanket! And thanks for all the stitch markers, again! I love them! ♥️
Your stick season sweater is so cute!!

omg I'm crossing my fingers that you don't end up in a pool of tears for that project 😅😅😅
@@knitcalifornia 😬🤞🏻thanks!
Stick season sweater is gorgeous! How beginner friendly is the texture pattern?
Super beginner friendly! It all knits and purls!

Also, what size "Knitting Queen" tee are you wearing? My sizing is similar to yours and I like the fit. :)
Thanks!
I got the size XL 🫶
Do you have a ballpark estimate of how much the trip to Ireland costs? Gosh what a dream that would be to go ❤
Yes, all the pricing info and the itinerary are linked in the description! 🇮🇪🧶✨
