Yes, and then you can use a pre-made 50/50 coolant mix. Like red 50/50 for Asian vehicles. Toyota purists would say to only buy the Toyota red coolant. In all honesty, I have never had a problem with flushing with tap water then filling with proper coolant.
Yes, the red Toyota coolant is preferred but there are many who use green cheaper coolant with apparently no ill effects. Toyota calls for the Toyota red.
Perhaps a followup video of how to put the plug back?😮
@@pietrowislon7300 you just thread it back in
Thank you for this great info :)
You are welcome!
yup! that's the ticket. that's a 19mm?
Do you recommend flushing with distilled water if you are replacing the radiator? Also is there a procedure for the flush?

What size socket will you most correct
But if you fill, short drive and then flush out afterwards with distilled water you won’t need to do the block drain no?
I like to get all the coolant out then fill with distilled water then drain again
Why do you have to do this... Is it to flush the entire radiator system?
Yes. If you only drain the radiator you won't get all the old coolant out.
I just stripped the hell out of this bolt.. Very easy to strip. Anyone have a link to a new one of these plugs? Cant find it anywhere...
Oh man..that sucks. Good luck
Do you by any chance know if the 1FZ can take the red Toyota coolant? Thank you.
