I love Randomizer runs because they showcase the full breadth and depth of knowledge that ZFG has about this game in a way that speedruns cannot because that knowledge is behind-the-scenes work. It's great that ZFG has both the skill required to be the top OoT speedrunner while also having the massive amount of knowledge about the game that allows his randomizer runs to be so interesting.

Wow. This seed was so trollish. I think the thing that blows my mind the most is that the only way to enter Kakariko Village at all was via the silver rock grotto in Gerudo Valley. If you hadn't stumbled upon that silver rock grotto mega flip with Child Link a while back, it would have essentially been an adult-only Kak. Same with Zora's River.
This is absolutely riveting. I love watching all the strats and skills on display. It's fantastic not knowing what's next. I also had never seen that hidden room at 6:42:22. I'm learning heaps of stuff.
This video was my first exposure to this romhack tool. This is amazing. Started my own random OoT for the first time, obviously with more reasonable settings cause I'm not some OoT pro. Both the video and my playthrough have been very entertaining.
rando never ceases to amaze me. He's being put into these ridicilous situation and it almost seems like he bends the game to his will whenever he has to wing a trick to progress further. As if the whole rando seed is his own playground
There is something intensely hilarious about spawning in the Well, the place which is regarded as arguably the scariest, most unnerving area in the game, and have the jaunty overly happy Market Jig start playing for the BGM XD (The Game Over music being the 'Boss Defeated' music is a close second in hilarity.)
Timed it. ZFG took 5 minutes and 43 seconds to double hess into dampe. Waiting would have taken 4 minutes and been a hell of a lot easier. 10/10 routing would WR again.

I’m a huge fan of this game so stumbling upon this video blew my mind. When he went to the water temple and it was the bazaar I laughed so hard. Such a cool concept
So, somebody in the live chat around 3:35 (give or take 10 minutes... so don't try to find the actual comment) asked whether any of the doors so far had been "vanilla" meaning their original true door path. I happen to know that the probability of a derangement (all items of a set matching to the wrong outcome) is 1/e (natural logarithm) which is rougly = 0.367 or 37%. What this means is, we have the inverse probability of that number to get a playthrough where AT LEAST ONE door is correct. That would mean, 1-1/e or roughly a 73% chance that at least one door will be correct.

Great video, fun/mellow vibe... great commentary... plenty long... and you get to watch one of my favorite childhood games get destroyed in a fun and creative way! So early to get the Kokiri Sword. So many of the randomizers I've done, I never find it, but a handful of Deku sticks, and you can get by without it. The only time you might more than just the 10 is in beating the Barinade and the Dead Han. 8 will be more than enough if you can mine the rest throughout the dungeon.
My last entrance rando seed (which was only the second one I've tried) made me buy blue fire as a child, too. I wasn't smart enough to figure that out on my own, though, and eventually looked at the spoiler log. Seemed pretty ruthless for a seed with logic, lol

Wow. This seed was so trollish. I think the thing that blows my mind the most is that the only way to enter Kakariko Village at all was via the silver rock grotto in Gerudo Valley. If you hadn't stumbled upon that silver rock grotto mega flip with Child Link a while back, it would have essentially been an adult-only Kak. Same with Zora's River.
I don't know why but scared Pepe always cracks me up (boss music, scary Ganon piano file select sound this time etc.)

This video was my first exposure to this romhack tool. This is amazing. Started my own random OoT for the first time, obviously with more reasonable settings cause I'm not some OoT pro. Both the video and my playthrough have been very entertaining.
rando never ceases to amaze me. He's being put into these ridicilous situation and it almost seems like he bends the game to his will whenever he has to wing a trick to progress further. As if the whole rando seed is his own playground

There is something intensely hilarious about spawning in the Well, the place which is regarded as arguably the scariest, most unnerving area in the game, and have the jaunty overly happy Market Jig start playing for the BGM XD
(The Game Over music being the 'Boss Defeated' music is a close second in hilarity.)

So, somebody in the live chat around 3:35 (give or take 10 minutes... so don't try to find the actual comment) asked whether any of the doors so far had been "vanilla" meaning their original true door path. I happen to know that the probability of a derangement (all items of a set matching to the wrong outcome) is 1/e (natural logarithm) which is rougly = 0.367 or 37%.
What this means is, we have the inverse probability of that number to get a playthrough where AT LEAST ONE door is correct. That would mean, 1-1/e or roughly a 73% chance that at least one door will be correct.
Man this Rando saved my Weekend theres nothing better then watching ZFG destroying a Impossible Rando. I also hope there will be a Majoras Mask rando soon.

So early to get the Kokiri Sword. So many of the randomizers I've done, I never find it, but a handful of Deku sticks, and you can get by without it. The only time you might more than just the 10 is in beating the Barinade and the Dead Han. 8 will be more than enough if you can mine the rest throughout the dungeon.
My last entrance rando seed (which was only the second one I've tried) made me buy blue fire as a child, too. I wasn't smart enough to figure that out on my own, though, and eventually looked at the spoiler log. Seemed pretty ruthless for a seed with logic, lol
