      Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy using the printer. Im looking at the Cura Slicer for the printer. My next video will be on that subject. Plus I have another series of videos coming out looking at 3D design so you can design your own things and then make them using this printer. It will be using Design Spark Mechanical software.The Explorer version is free. I use it all the time. Its great and quick learn. Kind regards and best wishes.

      Did your k9 arrive? How is it?

      @@sherlockhomes9919Mine did today. Perfect condition, screws are a bit difficult to screw in (I actually didn't manage to screw in 1 of them at all) but the printer is quite rigid by itself and even with standard filament which is apparently quite cheap I got a nice little test model after 2 hours of printing.

    Can you help? I was using my k9 for the first time last night. went well! the little rocket file in my included card is adorable. it was a little tough to get it off the platform so i attempted to adjust the leveling a little.. during this the tip began to release some filament ( i suppose i should have removed the filament maybe? ) and was still lowered. I got it back up, removed the blob of filament, removed the filament from the feeder (the white that came with the printer) and now it is not feeding or heating at all! I cannot find anything helpful with this particular printer, for this issue, so far. I only received this on Christmas morning and set it up last night to finally try.

      also, ty for the tip about the extender for the sd slot.. i'm about to order one for my printer. The position of it on this has already proven to be a bit difficult to work with since i cannot see it easily.

      @@eleah1316 Having the SD card extender is great due to the micro SD cards being fiddly to use & easy to misplace. It's possible also to get an adapter extender which enables the use of standard SD cards in the reader which has a standard SD card reader & ribbon cable to micro SD card plug. Thanks for watching the video & making a comment. Kind regards & best wishes.

      Im sorry you had this problem. I hope you were able to get it fixed. If you have any blobs on the printer I would suggest raising the print head and running the loading sequence to heat the filament & then extrude it. Normally I clean off any blobs carefully with a tough leather gardening/riggers glove that has tough leather fingers and palms which should protect from the heat of the nozzle and can be used to clean the nozzle prior to levelling the bed. Id suggest disconnecting the printer from the electricity supply and power cycling it to see if thats effective at resetting it. Please let me know how you got on. Kind regards & best wishes.

    Looking at getting this printer, to have it on a shelf in my office. I can get it for 75 GBP here in Sweden. Want my first printer to be cheap and small, with decent print quality for the price. Bang for the buck, so to speak. Would you recommend it? Thinking you’ve had enough time with it to give a final word about it. Or should I put more money in, to get something more premium? Would love to hear your final thoughts! Thanks in advance!
    PS: Does it have safety measurments like overheating and such, so it doesn’t start a fire in worst case scenario?

      Thanks for your comment. Ive honestly no idea if it has thermal over run protection. I figure if the thermistor doesn't break, it cannot over run. Ive never had this happen in any of my printers which are all well used and had a load of maintenance etc. If you don't touch the thermistor, etc you can't break it unless you break the wire in the loom or it breaks by metal fatigue. My printers all have 1000s of hours and I've never had a hint of this happening but if you are concerned I suggest you look for printers with thermal over run protection.
      The brilliant thing with the K9 is that its simple to assemble and to operate. The adhesion is perfect off the bat but there are many similar ones that use a build tack or similar surface. IMHO you should try to find a printer that uses similar technology for the print surface. Adhesion is the main issue I see and with these beds thats simply a non problem. I can't say what's right for you specifically. It is "quiet" so it might suit an office environment but if you are trying to do work which involves quiet concentration, I doubt you will be able to work next to it unless you have a sound proof booth or similar. Even the most quiet printer, it won't be possible to work close by. I can recommend it to anyone who is on a low budget who wants to get into 3D printing, to test the concept and to learn and is content with the 10x10x10 build volume and Printing in PLA or TPU. Im still going to be doing more on the printer going forward. The problem is having the time. We all have that issue.

    As I mentioned in your latest video, I have just bought one from AliExpress for under £60 total. There is an offer on at the moment (15th Nov 2023) where you get £3 off every £15 spent. The printer is listed at around £70 and with £12 off then free postage and + tax, it was £58.20.
    I haved another printer in bits as the plywood frame was broken and the display missing (it was a Prusa 3d printer) and it has a hot plate and I was thinking of making it fit the new K9 I will be receiving in a couple of weeks. I have made a reel holder out of plywood but never thought of making a carrier like you have.
    To stop hte base sounding like a drum, board in the bottom of it.

    What's the difference between the K7 and K9?

    • @NightStarLeafTech-vj3ez
      @NightStarLeafTech-vj3ez  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for your comment and watching the video. I haven't personally seen this but I understand that with the K7 its necessary to move the print head by hand to each position to level the bed. The K9 moves to each position by itself. It has 4 buttons which when pressed, the printer moves to each position automatically. This is a great innovation. Im not sure how they vary in terms of other issues but this alone is enough to mark out the K9 as superior. Levelling the bed is quicker and easier than on printers costing many times more. I hope this answers your query. Best wishes and kind regards.

      Thanks for watching the video. Im really sorry you had problems with the printer but all 3d printing is subject to issues. I can honestly say that I've had no problems with mine. Can I ask why you had to replace the nozzle? Did you replace the whole assembly etc or just the nozzle? Kind regards & Best wishes
