Yuna's Closing Speech of Final Fantasy X
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- The very last part of the game. It is the closing speech of Final Fantasy X. It concludes everything that they went through to get where they are at now. To me it is a lasting conclusion to the game.
Publisher: Square
Released: 19 July 2001
Platforms: PS2
Rated: Teen
Every time she says "Never forget them" I lose it. So touching and beautiful. A bittersweet but perfect way to end a perfect story.
and then the full on weeping for the Suteki Da Ne during the credits! Whoever thinks that games are trivial has not experienced a Final Fantasy game ;-;
Nearly 20 years later and this scene still brings me to tears. (and that's with me knowing that Tidus comes back later.)
Back when stories were done right.
I just can't stop crying right now... Because this is so related with real life challenges...
"or the dreams that have faded..."
Still got the goosebump when yuna said "never forget them".
You gotta admire the cinematography of this scene. It just hit me that when she says "Working together" Wakka and Rikku are in the same shot, and they both are on either side of Yuna's eyes respectively. That is dope!
Derek Smith I never noticed that! And Rikku is on Yuna’s Al Bhed eye side, too!
Above every other aspect that has been distinguished seems that the fact how Yuna whistles into the shore is the most important to me. She’s calling for someone, for herself and even though she might not be ready is time for her to move on. Even if she would love to spend her days looking for a answer to come she would gladly wait than give up on hope. Life calls for you because dreams are meant to be remembered but experiences await to be lived.
That whistling is so sad. Especially because I bet no one really knows why she is doing that.
"I'll come running..."
😤killin me man killin me...
I do! 😭 It kills me man...
Yuna for president! 😭💕
Hedy Burress' delivery on every line is flawless man 😣
FFX first play through was some journey.
28 year old male cynic, sitting here with tears in my eyes. Best game ever
The best speech I ever witness. Glad that it's in my personal game of all time
couldn't agree more . . . somehow, it always leaves me trembling & feel soo touched deeply when I see this scene again . . . :')
Niki Wonoto glad you feel this way. Not only one of the best dialogues ever but also one of the best games of all time in my opinion :')
wow i legit LOVE watching this even ttho its fake i felt since i was so young i have a connection with yuna lmao it sounds dumb but w.e im sure alot of us were children when we started playing this
+Niki Wonoto Me too
So I finally watched and translated the Japanese version. The English version is SOOOOOOO much better. The localization team did a great job making this moment so poignant and giving Yuna’s words the proper weight rather than having Yuna sound like a wishy-washy girl like in the Japanese version. The Japanese is not poetic at all like the English one and, again, sounds immature. Below is the Japanese text and English translation of the utterly underwhelming, super Japanese (culturally) end speech. You cannot tell me the English localization isn’t better:
多くの…数え切れない犠牲がありました
There have been a lot of...countless victims
なにをなくしたのか わからないくらい
I don’t know exactly what was lost
たくさん……なくしました
But a lot......was lost
そのかわり…
On the other hand...
もう、「シン」はいません
Now, Sin is no more
もう、復活もしません
Now, [the cycle of Sin’s] rebirth is no more
これから……
From now......
これからはわたしたちの時代……だよね
From now, it’s our time......isn’t it
不安なこと いっぱいあるけど 時間もいっぱいあるから……
There is a lot of uneasiness, but also because there is a lot of time......
だから だいじょうぶだよね
Because of that, we will be fine
力を合わせて いっしょに歩けるよね
If we work together, we will be able to walk together, won’t we
*cheering*
ひとつだけお願いがあります
I have just one more request
いなくなってしまった人たちのこと 時々でいいから……
All of the people who we’ve lost, when you get a chance......
思い出してください
Please remember them
The flash back to the pool scene gets me blubbering 😭
This ending man. I lose it every time. No matter how many times.
I played this 12 years ago... Now I find myself in a situation where I needed to listen to it for terrible mistakes and decisions I have taken in the last months... I wish I could go back in time...
“Or the dreams that have faded” messed me upppppp
Legit tempted to say this at my graduation.
no1 gives a shit about u or your life dont worry
@@Samsunk-iBich Why tho? haha man you are truly the worst
That flashback ALWAYS GET MEEEEE AAAAARGG!!!
Putin and Biden have a role model to learn from
Never forget them.
It always makes me cry 💔
somehow, . . . this always leaves me trembling & feel soo touched deeply when I see this scene again . . . :')
Niki Wonoto I was shook when I beat this in 03
Never forget them.... T_T
Still makes me tear up.
ya no lie i cry at the end of her speech, a lot! Every time!
Every time I hear this closing speech I just want to cry because this game makes me so emotional and is such an inspiration to me as a fellow summoner from Final Fantasy 4.
This always made me remember my Girlfriend...
This speech kicks the ever living shit out of Luna's speech in FFXV.
never forget them
For Tidus and Auron
The best speech ever xxxxxx
+guy craven Undoubtedly
It wasn't until my second playthrough that I realized what yuna was doing in at the beginning of the scene.
When she said “…and the dreams have faded” I LOST IT 😢😢😢
Maybe its 15 or 17 years ago..
When im senior high school..
Now im father of 2 sons...
But everytime she say "never forget them"...im choked
This sounds very much like a post covid speech
My thoughts exactly :)
Still love FFX... Still lose it when it fades.
Years ago... This make me sad for like 7 days...
That girl looks familiar lol
This game released in North America only a few months after 9/11. December of 2001.
I still wanna crying when yuna said "Never Forget Them". Though I played many times this game or watched it in youtube.
Has anyone covered the song here? I really would like to hear it isolated or even a piano version
Video poster: "It concludes everything that they went through to get where they are at now. To me it is a lasting conclusion to the game." Absolutely couldn't agree more, this game and the ending, particularly yuna....makes me burst into tears. Best speech ever in or outside of a game, best game ever. One big metaphor for life summed up by yuna perfectly. Then what did they do? FFX-2 (sigh), and even worse the audio play "Will" (rage and confusion)
***** I am with you x-2 should of never been made 1,000 tears is a good song but the game over all blah.
x2 was rlly good yall trippin
@@xen3588 the game is good. It has good gameplay. Its the story I was referring to. The secret ending in particular and the continuation of the story with that god awful audio drama. None of this is Canon to me. Technically 10-2 didn't need to to exist at all, as much as I enjoy the gameplay but I just ignore the secret ending and the swimming up scene after yunas speech. Yunas speech was the perfect ending to a perfect story
i think the sad ending of X2 where Yuna say goodbye to tidus is actually a great close, i honestly hate the true ending of x2 because it seems that Yuna didnt learn anything from what happened with Shuyin and Lenne or even from
her previous journey, what pass is pass and the death should
stay death.
@@magicwandstudio3141 yeah 10 had the perfect ending but the normal ending for 10-2 was ok I guess. Secret ending nope
Made me cry when I was a kid powerful 🙂
Love you forever H.N 💛 first game you ever completed.. & your most favorite.. I’ll never forget you 🕊️
Never Forget.
RIP kekold
Yuna said it best
This entire game was just pure beauty.
The whole end of this game gives me shivers. Gosh Y_Y
thx squareenix for this Mastrepiece
Those last 2 lines is even something that can you apply in real life. How deep
Impactful ending. At the time it really was really emotional. Then it was ruined with all the X sequels.
I'm gonna start listening to this every night before bed.
yeah it was a lasting conclusion, a round off, then they show that scene with tidus in the water which was the start of the ruination. It eventually ended in some god awful audio play which is a disgrace to the timeline imo
if anyone watching Steven universe the latest episode onions gang he use this same whistle to call his gang
Tidus, Zack, Noctis, Aerith, Clive and Joshua, Biggs, Jessie, Wedge and other heroes of Final Fantasy whom died Never forget them.😢❤❤❤
Not forgetting auron even if he's already...you know.
Awesome, my friend. 😍💕 Thanks for sharing. 👍 Have a good day. 🤗✨
I get chills every time with her last 2 lines
That whistling....
“Never forget them.” I’m fucking howling. It’s such a perfect bittersweet end. X
I wept like a fucking baby
Best moment in FFX ❤
always ♥
The real ending of X. not that bs X2 did where he comes back
Imagine if Donald Trump were able to make a speech as humble, gentle, and meaningful as Yuna's speech to Spira. I know FFX is just a game and Yuna is just a fictional character, but can you just imagine? Oddly I come here after seeing Trump's inauguration and I'm longing for a gentleness that is fading.

Yeah, it seems to me like all that Trump is doing during his speeches is spreading hate and distrust - it's always this "us vs. them" mentality, and it's getting incredibly tiresome.
At least there is that video where he claimed that he would make sure to protect the LGBT community against discrimination, and that made me feel somewhat more respect for him.
_That_ is what a president is supposed to be doing - unite people and set an example.
Never forget this game.
We miss you kek!
This should have been the end. I consider this the end. Not the cheap ass that happened for the sake of money. Oh Square....
Its not the end didn't you hear? Its the beginning what happens after that? Well thats for us to make for ourselves together as a human family not race.
FFX-2 feels like an amazing game that still holds up today just started playing it again after many years and it's still so fun it's my personal favorite FF game
Yuma is my favorite protagonist!
RIP Cuzzo Kahlel… 7/12/22 🕊
Gotta be honest I was underwhelmed by this ending
I thought it was the best final fantasy ending, honestly. But then I’m into all the sentimental stuff though. Really, scenes like this, and the music are the whole reason I played.
