Its a little surprising to me how much this looks like my childhood experience on Okanagan lake in the 1960's. 10 years later than this film. Great memories.

At 7:30 their boat is docked at the barge pier opposite the Incola hotel in Penticton. Grew up on that beach in the 60’s.

The Red car in the garage is a Vauxhall. It was a beautiful summer evening and my folks where in the kitchen fixing diner,I had nothing better to do so i went out to the car parked in the driveway . i climbed in and started to mess with the gears and all the controls . Must have released the park brake also After a while of goofing around the Oldman called out Dinner. i left the car and ran around to the back of the house to sit at the table outside in the backyard with the rest of the family to eat. Shortly after starting to dig in we heard the screeching of a car tires and a horn honking and some shouting, we all jumped up from the table and ran round to the front of the house only to see the red car in the bushes across the street and the driver of the other car who was just driving along and almost hit our car as it rolled across in front of him . One of My brothers ratted me out as he saw me earlier fooling around in the car. I must of left it in gear and eventually it overcame the engine compression on the slope of the driveway and off it went.

@@ReelLifeCanada Yes, it was my mom's car. I'm the littlest boy in this film.

I'm curious about what part of Okanagan Lake they were on? Anyone recognize the area?
