How could anyone dislike these two sketches?
+Gottfried Leibniz Strange that there 35 dislikes. Would've thought there'd be 36.
(Closes one eye) Reallyyy, I thought there did be 70.
Correction! 3636!
I disliked it. Is it supposed to be funny? The bloke was an absolute clot. Not realistic in any way.
I liked one of them. The other seemed a bit unoriginal.
I like the fact that he's meticulously planned the journey from London to the South Coast, but as soon as they get to Africa, they just ask.
Avoid leatherhead.
@@gui18bifOriginal posters were wrong. They don't ask when they get to Africas, they get to Nairobis, take the roads out of Nairobis for 12 miles and then ask.
Not even mentioning crossing Europe beforehand
@@asherloat8570Chunnel got extended to Kenya
I love how the jokes start small but get continually more ridiculous. Those four guys are a great comedic pair.
Six.
Eight.
Oh, you're no fun anymore.
It is Monty python after 😊😊
"They were going to build a bridge between the two peaks" might be the funniest line Monty Python ever delivered.
"My idea, I'm afraid."
I like how he doesn't feel particularly bad about this.
"Most of its up until you reach the very, very top, then it tends to slop away rather sharply." I love how he says it. One of my favorite lines.
until the second peak, then it goes back up again
What is it about these two videos I love so much?
Neither of us have laughed so hard at sketches like these before!
Neither of me either.
@@ewillochOkay. And how about you?😁
@@bluebear1985 Well, I am Jimmi Blenkinsop, the guide! We four of us will get them up somehow. And stop laughing, mountaineering is serious business!
There's no two people on Earth that I laugh at more than the John Cleeses. The Idle twins run a close third and fourth.
Don't forget the Graham Chapmans, wonderful in both these sketches.
I love both of these sketches!
For a moment you got me there.
@@zainabe9503 i was like "What?"
Well, I am game, sir!
uh, there is only one sketch, sir.
@@stevenm4319 Uh, oh, indeed, so it is. Good, that will spare us four some time since we will be watching one sketch instead of two.
I've gone and hit both like buttons
I think I can speak for all one of us when I say that this sketch is prime. That would be two thumbs up! Or maybe four! Or maybe...O, dear.
The line about "last year's expedition," especially how matter-of-fact he is, just kills me.
But why would you start another expedition this year unless there were good grounds to assume the existence of traces of the previous expedition that you hope to find?
these are two of my favorite python sketches.
''Does anyone speek svahili?''
''Yes i think most of them do downthere.''
Only Monty Pythons could run 2 jokes for 10 minutes straight and not have it dies.
Two moments in history of humor. One before the Montys, the other is after the Montys. God shave the Queen
I keep expecting both Colonels to step in and say these two sketches are getting rather silly.
I think those 2 gigantic feet just squashed them already
Four civilian gentlemen to se you, sir!
Both Graham Chapmans were playing the two guides, I think.
"My idea i'm afraid..." like most used quote by miles
Actually Kilimanjaro has six peaks: two are called Kibo peak, two are Mawenzi and the other two are called Shira peak.
Someone should build bridges between these twelve peaks.
So, that's three. Right. Well done: both of you.
Found the redditor ;)
@@archangelcharlieFound the troglodyte ;)
The knights who say NI gaurd all the peaks
Something I never clocked until now is Chapman pulling the bookshelf directly on top of himself at 4:30 😂
You'll also notice it was made of very light material. Probably balsa or plastic.
Surely you mean both Chapmans
Both of us loved both of these sketches.
Same for me. One of my all-time favourite sketches i've ever seen.
Respect and honors to Python.
Both of those videos are great!
Two men skilled in climbing mountains Loool
Sheesh, if only 62 people realize that there is only one like button and the other one is dislike...
Anakin Skyobiliviator these are 64 dislikers.cover one of youre eyes !!!!!!!!
Don't worry, we made sure to hit both like buttons, just is case.
Actually there is only 58 of them
Life seems to be taking a tall on the haters. Three years on, there are actually fewer of them.
Three years later, still only 62 dislikes.
I love the Monty Pytons where one person is sane and everyone else seems to have slipped their lids. Job interview and Spam come to mind...
just like in our world
They all played straight man at some point though I reckon John did it least, he's too manic to ever play straight for long. Palin did it best as he could play the victim well as could Terry Jones, idle didn't do it that much he was usually a stupid character and greame did both straight and loopy well, I reckon he did an even number of both. Most famously playing straight man for their films.
Spam with everything
@@dougaldouglas8842 spam spam spam spam ! 🤣
I think you mean where two people are sane
Seriously one of my favorite Python sketches... EVER.
Fun fact: John Cleese is actually in real life a fully licensed and qualified mountaineer.
Two men skilled in climbing mountains?
Is that both John Cleese's or just one of them?
I like the one on the right slightly better of these two sketches.
Bty the stereo sound effect was absolutely stunning
"well, that'll save a bit of time." XD
Definition of a mountaineer: two men skilled at climbing mountains 55555
This is such a Graham Chapman sketch. A simple, absurd concept and totally hilarious.
I'd be a little curious who was the primary writer of this one, as so much of the beginning relies on a visual gag that the director/editor would have to be keyed in on in the writing process. Gilliam or Jones would be my guess, but I can't find any notes about it.
I really didn't see that coming.
So would you say that you weren't ... EXPECTING it?
No, he said he didn't see that coming.
Like the Spanish Inquisition
The people who disliked probably think James corden is the king of comedy.
"And what routes will you both be taking?"
I love how Eric Idle's character just gives up and decides to go along with the charade 😂
Why is this not on any "best sketch" lists? This is fantastic. And it's got two of the best punchlines.
Because it would be unfair for the same sketches to take two slots
Well they could at least apply each of this sketch to it's own best sketch list.
Well both of them are on the compilation movies called And Now For Something Completely Different 1 & 2 that were produced to sell the pythons to both American markets... So technically it's on at least two of those lists considered good enough.
Tons of Python sketches are unsung while the Parrot gets all the glory.
Well I'm game, sir!
We liked these videos, thanks to the Chander brothers for uploading them.
Both of us really enjoy these sketches, no matter how many times we watch both of them. Four thumbs up.
I've climbed it and there are in fact two peaks, Uhuru and Mawenzi.
So you've visited two of the four peaks, then?
Torsten Blue did you come across a pair of dead twins or the remains of a bridge?
Did you find any trace of last year's expedition?
64 People got obviously no sense of humor. The Cleese's Twins are hilarious
The Filmfanatic i see what you did there hahahaha
"Does anyone speak Swahili, Sir?"
"Oh yes, I think most of them do down there."
XD
Oh i love this.Graham is so funny as he climbs and talks as if hes not doing anything.teehee.
oh and on a looks note-eric idles hair is awesome in this
3:30 ' four of them, a pair of identical twins' - God Save the Monty Python & the British Sense of Humour !!!
Both of us loved these two sketches, for a total of four sketches
Aahhh. Monty Python, the absolute kings of random. This is definitely one of my favorite skits.
Might be my favourite monty python. So goddamned funny.
"...is to find any traces of last years expidition" - reminds me of projects at my work
The two best sketches ever!
I clicked as soon as I saw the two thumbnails!
what a twist
Was that a punchline? Outrageous.
+2 if you're watching this in 4030.
Ben K Thank you both.

4036, but we just couldn't not like these comments. You guys are in fact very well coordinated.
It’s almost 4038 now, isn’t this two blasts from both pasts?
I wish I could like this video more than twice!
John Cleese: Two British comedians best known for their work on the BBC comedy sketch series Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Special Effect Level at the very end; over 9000
Photorealistic digital twin generated by vacuum lamp computer with magnetic coil memory.
The purpose of the expedition is to see if we can find any traces of last year's expedition. Yes my brother was leading that; they were going to build a bridge between the two peaks...my idea I'm afraid! XD
My God it was ages since I saw this, but it's just awesome all the way through. Good jokes at every corner! I love it!
Absolutely brilliant - one of my favourites. Although I know the sketch, I laughed out loud at several points, not having seen it for years.
Excuse me, sir, but I'm almost sure there were two sketches.
@@dvd100cias Sorry for the confusion. The other sketch was equally as good - in fact, it matched the first one in every respect.
"Most of it's up, till you reach the very, very top, then it tends to slope away rather quickly." LOL
After watching it twice forwards I decided to watch it half a time backwards, then divided the time spent watching in half again by discarding every second frame (rapid blinking at twice the frame speed). Then every time I heard the word 'two', 'twice' or something said in the plural noun form (backwards of course) I doubled up again to make up for the inverse cancellation by the 'half-backwards' reality I had imposed on the skit to bring everything back to the absolute order of numerical operations in the time-space continuum as represented by the single integer '1'. Only then did it all make perfect sense to me, though admittedly I found it gave me a bit of a headache and that the skit had become only half as funny as the original.
You're a looney!😂😂
It's...a parallel universe?
There's two of everything, side by side.
And that fellow was a nut. Yep yep.
We just saw these two movies on UA-cams and I have to say we enjoyed them very much.
The ending is almost scary, so damn twisted. XD
It's funny because Kilimonjaro actually does have two peaks.
Kilimanjaro is actually a massif consisting of 3 dead volcanoes. The highest peak of the massif is the Uhuru Peak of the Kibo Volcano.
I know, I crossed the bridges, twice.
@@BornAgainCynic0086 No, four times. Twice forward and twice back
it's... slightly different from how I remebmer it. Was it also in "And now for something comepletly different" feature film?
Yes, this sketch was used in the two ANFSCD films.
I'm just gonna assume this was too clever to make me laugh. It was still good.
Well, this is twice as funny as their other sketches.
Most of it's up until you reach the very, very top, at which point it tends to fall away rather sharply.
The man speaks with great wisdom and a shitload of experience. I would go with him through fire and flame, through bookshelves and walls!
Graham must have had a lot of fun in this scene
We both love these two sketches, had us rolling on the floors
The funny thing is that Kilimanjaro does have two distinct peaks about 5 miles apart and even a third, which is much lower.
Rumor has it that Rush Stockton was inspired by this sketch.
January 22nd.. LOL Actually they lost me at "They went to build a bridge between the 2 Peaks"!!!!
😂😂 hilarious clip thanks for update.
it goes up until you reach the very very top and then it tends to slope away rather sharply!!!
that had me on the floor XD
"The object of this expedition is to see if we can find any traces of last year's expedition." ROFL!
Ah Mt Sillymangiro isn't that the one with the spinning peaks ?
I think this is a brilliant sketch, and so does my brother.
I've seen this twice before in Catch 22
Two thumbs up from us.
Mad. Awesome.
Who is the madder, the madman or the madman's madman, or the madman's madman's wife?
Directly from the horse's mouth.
antiHUMANDesigns Both of them i say
@d1versify it was actually intended to be a play on some of their other scetches stating that things are "silly" when they get out of hand
Legendary!
I'm glad they got one of the mountaineers signed up.
simply legendary
there is no secret handshake 03:58. this is something you can learn from the pythons. Every time you find somebody who understands, he is gone as soon as he came:)
I'm not sure which of these videos I like more!!
7 changed their minds
Ten people are still trying to build a bridge between the two slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
By far the best twin peaks videos on youtube.
At least, we have learned who killed Laura Palmer.
Thanks to you both for uploading them.
How can 56 people dislike this?
You mean 112?
Time to move to the other office.
One of their best sketches :)
*****
Really? Both of them?
Mountenear, 2 men skilled in climing mountins
ending cracked me up the most
One at a time please.
Uh, there is only one of me here.
*covers one eye, looks around room*
*bangs head on wall* Groan... Do you need glasses?
Diplopia, aka double vision.
Q. Does anyone speak Swahili, sir?
A. Oh yes, I think most of them do down there.
Good, that will spare our time. We won't be needing to teach the locals Swahili then.
Both comments sections of these sketches are great.
"... it's a tricky climb, most of it is up, and then it tends to slope away rather sharply..."
xD hilarious!
