I think that they could have done a few more skits in this BDA series. They have gone to the effort to establish the characters so why not develop the storyline further? Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
The Pythons didn't just magically appear. This has to be seen in the context going all the way back to 1951 of The Goon Show, Beyond Our Ken, Round The Horne and I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again.
My favourite parts of this are a) Stapleton repeatedly insisting there's nothing going on even as things get increasingly insane and b) WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?
If dental assistants dressed more like the one in this skit, I wouldn't have the dental issues I do today, I'd be going in for a check-up twice a year or more.
My old dentist had an eye for hot assistants; I somehow never minded when they would gently lean over to perform their work, usually leaning against me slightly...I was always a very good boy.
@guitaroman94 a quote from the stage play derived from Mrs.Henry Wood's novel "East Lynne", a Victorian best-seller. There was a time when "Dead, dead and never called me Mother" was instantly recognisable and a catchphrase. Who reads Ellen Wood now, I wonder?
Eric Idle clearly enjoyed the first thirty seconds...
how he got through it without breaking...
Did he write that part 😂
Only took 58 takes! What a pro
Wouldn't we all...
The Python's being what they are like probably only cared about the comedy.
I've never noticed until now, that she was straight licking his face, lol
That was Eric's gf at the time......Well for the duration of the sketch anyway...the lucky lucky b...
She is trying to make him laugh.

Wonderfully Silly Monty Python Forever!

Me: Lemming. Lemming. Lemming of the BDA...
"It's a man's life posting comments on UA-cam videos!"
Right, I heard that!

"....and never called me Mother..." how many people get that reference now?
What is it referring to?
