i guess my son was about 6 months old when this came out. he was fussy and woke up late at night...like 4:30am. i was drunk and wanted a lullaby for him (fuuuck i had to be at work in like 2 1/2 hours), he sat on my lap in the dark with no light other than the above image fullscreened... and i watched a progression of absolute awe, understanding and then peacefulness come over my teething sons face, he was soon asleep, and for a long time he asked for this song when he was overwhelmed or stressed out.
that lasts till this very day (he is almost four now, and still has a hard time calming himself)...only now he is learning songs to calm, rather than requesting them.
its made me a better person and a better parent knowing that my little boy could love something as much and even more than i do (music in general). now he is starting his learning journey, and i fully credit this song, in the right scenario at the right time...w/e im drunk again. #ramble

Listening to this on 2x speed is hilarious.
I totally broke down when reading John's depiction of what happened. The first time I've shed any tears for a celebrity or musician/band. And when I first heard about the crash I was so worried, I was afraid you guys would no longer be around to share your music with the world. There would always be an empty space where Baroness used to be. I think that holds true for so many people. You are all such an inspiration to me, my husband, and his band. Fallen Is Babylon can't wait to meet you guys.
One of my favorite tracks off of Yellow & Green. I use it as my alarm in the morning; it's a really pleasant way to wake up.

You guys have to be one of the best bands ever, I remember seeing you life for the first time opening up for Opeth and I walked in during the beginning of Rays on Pinions and thought it was a sound check at first. Needless to say I was quickly blown away by the groove you guys had going. Everything since then has just gotten better and better.

I've just recently became a fan and I can't get enough of you guys.
This video, your music, and your skills on those guitars would be inspiring even if I ignored the fact that only a few months ago you survived a horrific bus crash that could've and seems like probably would have left you dead or at least crippled and broken forever. But there you are beautifully playing that beautiful song.
You guys are true heroes. Everybody on that bus.
Now I'm gonna try and play this song with my two arms that have never been broken or mangled in anyway.
Beautiful nice to see these guy's back on there feet. I had ticket's to see the gig of which they had the accident but am glad there alright you can feel the passion of there craft in this performance.

4th time in a row watching this, still gives me chills!!!!
I remember an interview with Pete Adams where he was asked if there was a specific "thing" he could think of that influenced the writing on yellow/green, and he kind of alluded to random things here and there that weren't that epic or life changing, rather just the grind and tribulation of tour life. If Baroness can create an album as epic and beautiful as yellow/green BEFORE a life changing thing like the bus crash, i can only imagine what they have in store for us in the future.

holy shit! thank you so much for making a video of you guys playing this song. when i first listened to yellow and green, this was my favorite song on the whole album by far. it is just a perfectly composed piece of music. the slow build from the electric chord progression to the soft strumming of the first acoustic guitar is sublime and serves to make the part with the two acoustic guitars riffing over each that much more amazing. it gives me a rush and chills every time i listen to it.
