How to turn any image into a clean flat design vector logo graphic in Adobe Illustrator CC. You will learn how to create a beautiful simple flat design soda can.
This video is easy and quick to learn for beginners and intermediate graphic designers looking to improve their skills in Adobe Illustrator CC using some of my tips and tricks.
You will learn step by step how to import an image into Illustrator. Then set it as a template. We will then create the main outlines using the pen tool, shape builder tool, curvature tool, pathfinder when merging as well as how I choose my colours and gradients with my custom colour palette.

Why someone buys those color palettes can you please describe?
@@upamm Some people like me have trouble finding colors that are appealing to the eye so they get premade palettes.

loved the tutorial and am super proud of my soda can!! however like others are saying it does go a little too fast and i had to watch it at 0.5x speed at times; if i was a beginner at illustrator i don't think i'd have been able to follow along. thanks for the video nevertheless!
I am a beginner and i need at least 10-15 min per step to find the things and to do them. Some are a bit poorly described like the deleting small portions of the line.

you can use scissor tool its more easy :)
Please make sure your line work is on a different layer above the colour layer. Add your shadows on the colour layer!
@@DomDesigns Thank you for replying. I mean could you do a tutorial on how to choose line work - like instead of doing a horizontal line completely across the can - you deleted parts of the line. When is the best time to create partial lines instead of full lines. TY
I was looking for a channel to learn how to create cool designs. I used canvas and I did pretty good job but it's time to learn something new and take it to another level. Just described to your channel I'll check your videos sir 🔥👍🏻

You can also Select your whole illustration and do "Expand Appearance" to keep the thickness of the line and also don't forget to keep s copy of your illustration before doing so.
it took me more than 3 hours to make!!! This was my 2nd illustration! and it turned out great, I a so Happy

Any further detail on how to delete segments with the pen tool would be great. I'm struggling to do this and no other tutorials that cover this. Great tutorial though, thanks for posting.
Use the pen tool to click on the stroke to create new anchors. U can then select the anchors with the direct selection tool and delete them :)
