The first two words that came out of my mouth when I saw the end result of 40hrs of work were, "Oh WOW!". I am Truly Truly impressed with what you did and what you achieved. Very Impressive and Absolutely Mag-nificent. How on earth do you come up with these ideas? Bravo, more, more. 👏👏🎊🎉💖
Maybe I'm a little late to comment on this video, and it's also been a year since i last played timberborn, but i was just wondering how the land for crops and forests was increasing every now and then... Is there a new option of creating land blocks or maybe something else?
You can always comment, its never too late. Plus this video is only a few days old =] "Update 2" contains Terraforming, with which you can drill dirt and place dirt blocks. It is available now on Experimental and will be released tomorrow on the regular branch.
@@Barthak ohh, that's great 😃 I wasn't following the updates on timberborn for a while because i got a little too busy with my work over the last year, but i recently started watching the videos again, from your channel and then from RCE's channel as well, so i pretty much lost on a lot of information and new things in the time being. Would surely try to get back to it soon... Thanks for the information buddy, keep up the great work ❤️
Wow, just the start already look so sick! The flickering of the day-night cycle made me blink a lot during the video, but was absolutely amazing nonetheless! Just a question, was the whole thing in one unique district? The center one? Or there's others hidden?
Yeah, I could do with a toggle for the day/night cycle cuz its a bit stressing on the eyes. I tried with the RotatingSun mod but that didn't really help. So during the build I had to have temporary district centers to finish the corners, but the final build is only the one district, there are a handful of buildings that can't be reach (rowhouses) but other than that its all reachable.
be aware im jsut assuming but what mods do you use if any, im just saying because your land tends to look green and lush on high peaks that would be baren for me? i just want my world greener
They go all the way to the bottom of the map; from that point on they still excavate dirt but the blocks wont disappear, so the supply of dirt is endless.
I place down the building blueprints which I want my beavers to build for the next shot, then I find a nice camera angle, hide the interface and record for the next 4-6 minutes. Afterwards I speed up each clip =] Rinse and repeat until the build is complete. There is a lot of waiting time between the shots to make sure I have enough resources stacked up to build the next part.
The great thing is that all the resources are infinite in this game, so time is your friend to get things like this accomplished, its a good thing I didn't show all the waiting =]. And golems, definitely. At the high-point there were 64 golems employed!
Thank you! I use the Dynamic Zoom option in DaVinci Resolve for the smooth zoom effects. Usually I plan construction, wait for the resources to become available and then record for 4-6 minutes at a time, speed it up afterwards. I have a video on how I make my timelapses: ua-cam.com/video/5c8Fkpm4lG0/v-deo.html
Unfortunately, the game doesn't have that toggle and there is no mod yet to turn it off either. The closest I found was the Rotating Sun mod, but that doesn't really solve the issue.

Do you remember when it was an eco-friendly beaver game?

Glorious, thank you so much for the inspiration!
You always picked out good soundtrack for these types of content.
This is always the kind of thing I want to do in Timberborn but my civilization collapses while I'm trying to keep the little guys alive.
You'll get there, just keep playing =] ... remember tho that this was made on a custom difficulty, just to save some time waiting.
This man is an engineer. He built a star fortress. God this is brilliant. This is just an incredible level of spatial thinking.
This is absolutely impressive. Well done 👏

Cool. Beaver Tenochtitlan.

Was looking for this comment. I was just thinking the same. Thanks 😊
I'm in awe
omg
that's like a beaver Angkor Wat
Correction: the more i watch the more it's becoming a beaver hive city 40k
Would have been cool to see a slow layer change.
Not entirely sure I understand what you mean, like with the show layer tool?
@@Barthak Yes That's what I meant
what map is this and i just discovered your channel your build is amazing

@Real Civil Engineer wya
they should require leds for growing under the metal platforms
I think greenhouses would be a nice solution to grow stuff under/on top of buildings too, powered so they can have artificial lighting
Beautiful video, bravo. you would have the link of the map because the link file does not work ?
thank you! you can find the map "Crater Lakes" on timberbornmaps.com
How much wood did it take
Yes
be aware im jsut assuming but what mods do you use if any, im just saying because your land tends to look green and lush on high peaks that would be baren for me? i just want my world greener
How deep the excavator can go?
They go all the way to the bottom of the map; from that point on they still excavate dirt but the blocks wont disappear, so the supply of dirt is endless.

There is a lot of waiting time between the shots to make sure I have enough resources stacked up to build the next part.
What is your population by the end?
How did you obtain all the resources and workers necessary to build that much with such a low population? Did you employ many droids?
The great thing is that all the resources are infinite in this game, so time is your friend to get things like this accomplished, its a good thing I didn't show all the waiting =]. And golems, definitely. At the high-point there were 64 golems employed!
The videograpghy is stunning. Beautifully done! How did you capture the footage? And how do you pan/zoom so smoothly?
Thank you!

just wow
Are you doing Tenochtitlan or what??
You need to build a ziggurat !
holy... shit wow
Map?
Реально очень круто!!
Вау
Круто 👍
Which map is that?
The map is called "Crater Lake" (custom map) the link to it is available in the description of the video.
gg
Очень круто
Mod or Ingame?
This is an unmodded playthrough on a custom difficulty.
Really wish they'd turn off the day and night time, these time lapse are going to give someone a seizure.
