One cute little detail about titan is that he never uses superspeed because megamind couldn't teach him that because he never knew metroman had superspeed
Tai Lung was the only correct choice. Phenomenal character from a phenomenal movie. It's rare a character can give you goosebumps while also giving you the feelz
Even though my favourite dreamworks villain is Titan (Megamind being a good bad guy and Titan being a bad good guy sounds so simple conceptually but in practice its handled with SO much finesse) Tai Lung is also very good. I think one of the things that makes Titan higher for me is because of audience response. Tai Lung is very well regarded and beloved online, and whenever I read positive comments about Kung Fu Panda, he comes up. The opposite happens in Megamind in which Titan's brilliance gets overlooked by the whole movie - so if anything I think while Megamind (the overall movie) gets enough rep, Titan is an overlooked element of it, which I think speaks to his subtlety. What makes both these characters great and stand above others in this bracket is that they are both *de-constructions of archetypes generally given to protagonists* - and the *protagonists in their respective movies* are *deconstructions of what protagonists are*. Which is really brave when your *target audience is young* (specially when nowadays, works which target audiences are adults, seem to work with archetypes that are not deconstructed *as if written towards children* - and even if deconstructed, it's done in a hamfisted manner). Tai Lung is actually a pretty classic character in Kung-Fu and also Samurai movies and you know how you make so much videos about power scaling and people that lack media literacy? Tai Lung is actually a great metaphor for them and the things they like. While in most Kung-Fu stories, he would be the chosen one, the nature of the Dragon Scroll renders that belief meaningless. While Tai Lung was very much an ace and high on the "power scale" let's say, learning 1,000 scrolls worth of techniques, he only looked to the physical and technical aspects of Kung-Fu and never focused on the more subtle aspects, like peace within himself - the same way someone may only look at the technical aspects of a movie, or the technical aspects of a villain (how intimidating they are, their power level, or focusing on the technical aspects of a movie and not on the subtext - *Invincible* for example is a *"Tai Lung" of shows* - (as opposed to Po) - some invincible fans see Mark as a great protagonist because he... is a teenager and has to deal with teenager problems as WELL as being a superhero. Omni Man is a great villain because... he has social darwinistic justifications for his actions. *Which isn't very profound at all*, actually *doing something* greater with those shallow elements, though, would turn Invincible (the show) to be more "Po" than "Tai Lung"). I think this is the reason I generally don't like anime - it's more "Tai Lung" than "Po". Anyways, that was the link I found between these two characters and what you usually talk about on the channel. Bit conceptual but I hope it was understood. Got inspired to talk about that, xD. Anyways, as always your commentary is great to hear.
Great analysis. It's giving me a lot to think about too. Right now I'm in the process of developing my synthesis of writing and I think nuance is what separates the actual high art from the reddit top 10. Beloved media like invincible is written in a very blunt manner, in a way I'd describe as black and white. Where nuance is obviously the grey in between. Maybe depth would be a better word. But anyways, I think the reason people might actually buy into the poorly executed naturalistic dialogue of invincible would be because people in real life actually do buy into single stories and don't bother challenging their initial beliefs. But yeah those are just some thoughts. Thanks for the comment
big fan bro, ur speedster and invincible videos are great, also when u like “responded” to the people dissing u I couldn’t stop laughing bro it was hilarious.
Bro, you could make a video about marvel Legion, no one cares about it, but it's a love it or hate it show, anyway love your vids, keep on the grind, you have the potential
it's so tragic that Madagascar 3 has such an amazing opening and villain only for the rest of the film to be mid. the first scene was so hype it was just such a disappointment that the rest of the film was ass.
I’m gonna be real: Jack Horner has a surprising amount of depth while still managing to be a terrible person who doesn’t change. I prefer him over Death for that reason.
heres what ill say, most of the HTTYD villains deserved to go to round 3. Ken somehow made it 7 stages further then he deserved. Otherwise, damn good list brother
alright, all jokes aside. I kinda don't understand some of the thought process you might've had going into this video. I feel about 75%, if not then at least half of, all the character's shown on the bracket would not be considered as a "villain." considering most of these characters are not relevant to the plot of their story in the first place. Some are more antagonists such as Goldilocks and the three bears, which isn't the same as a villain. C'mon RSG, do better next time; make us proud. However, I digress and admit the video was still a little funny and amusing to watch. I enjoyed the Ken chad talk you were slowly sprinkling throughout the video.
I feel like he did it for the sake of simplicity, everyone knows that Goldilocks is not technically a villain, but puts her in the same category in order to be put against other characters opposing the protagonist, all of them are antagonists so specifying who is villain and who is an antagonist would be redundant
I think generally dreamworks villains are more traditional than most pixar villains. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of stinky pete or syndrome and they're good. But as villains I think guys like Tai Lung or Titan are better. But I'd have to rewatch the pixar movies.

Madagascar grandma got snubbed
I was rooting for Tighten hard, especially with Tai Lung essentially getting layups almost all the way to the final, but it's fair enough
yeah thats my bad lol. Pretty much every great villain was on the left side and tai lung was out here fighting shark tale
One cute little detail about titan is that he never uses superspeed because megamind couldn't teach him that because he never knew metroman had superspeed
*Tighten
The right choice isnt always the easiest one,
But holy fucked Tai Lung had a rigged bracket.
Damn the bracket was more rigged than his life
Eris losing to titan instantly is so sad, great villain, shame she had to compete with the GOAT

Can’t lie the right side of the bracket was the easy route. Absolute farmers bracket compared to the right
I ong started this video thinking that you would be analyzing villains vs villains in a fight but like
I remembered this rsg we talkin bout
it's so tragic that Madagascar 3 has such an amazing opening and villain only for the rest of the film to be mid. the first scene was so hype it was just such a disappointment that the rest of the film was ass.
I am not exaggerating when I say that I could not stop laughing every single time you started talking about Ken
my favourite is death and tai lung
actually based choices i dont think i disagreed with any of this
another banger, RSG ur the goat. such a breath of fresh air
thank you brother
Tai Lung is so badass the entire movie, you're actually nervous for Po when they meet
So subtlety here is a ingredient for good writing
NOO MY RAMSESES ONLY LASTED TWO ROUNDS
Great video! You should do the same with Spider-Man movie villains.
You know what I do to little kids that ask lots of questions abt me…. (Different sentence when it’s not a question) 💀💀💀
Insanely good video and deserves mote views
3:35 ayo
I disagree as always love the video keep doing more
I do like that ty lung winning personally I would choose death
The moral of the story is that the dog from Wallace and Gromit is better written than all of Kung Fu Panda 4.
bro must have felt so good about himself after disguising a challengers review as a ken glaze 😭😭😭😭😭😭

The fact ramses didn't win or even make it to top 10 makes me physically weak

You forgot Chelsea Van Der Zee/Nerisa from Ruby Gilman Teenage Kraken. I know she wouldn’t make it to like round 2, but I still like her.
8:12 ☝️🤓 Actually, Kai’s whole motivation is revenge against Oogway
Rsg your channel never misses, can you make a pixar bracket next?
now do Regular show villains bracket (tai lung cameo)

Name of the music that plays when he says: IM THE KING
Only thing I would change is the titan vs death pick
Nah, Uncle Grandpa would win
New RSG video? Today is a good day

He's also horrible to be friends with. Dude didn't give af about anyone but himself. And his yt personality is how he actually is. Obnoxious.

With tai lung getting all the easy wins, it would have been poetic if titan was the true winner
2:06 wait, whose the redhead. Can't remember the movie she's from.
Now between who you think would win in a fight
Ken is NOT challengers 😭🙏
Ngl, Ken is the hero of the bee movie, idk wut u talking about
