The album production masks some of the nuance in his performance for sure. I was blown away at how good Vessel has gotten when I saw them this year. He definitely couldn't scream this naturally last album cycle.
Vessel for sure got better, but what adds even more to the effect is IV's screams when he joins him. I'm sure he is/was in some kind of death/black metal band so he could practice a lot
It's all IV on the screams. You can hear that it's a totally different voice. I think Vessel probably sang it in the studio (which is why it sounds different live) but he is just acting it out; or at the very most singing with a heavy distortion on his mic along side IV. Doubling. It's clearly IV and I think it's a little unfair that Vessel gets the credit. It's a nifty little bait and switch that works on all y'all. Vessel would not be able to sing in his beautiful clean voice directly after screaming without any negative consequence. He is a human. I think for the image of the band, they want you to believe it's Vessel. But it's super common for bands to have someone else on the harsh vocals to help with the health and touring longevity of the lead singer
Such a cool band! I'm new to sleep token. They've really caught my interest! We're saturated with very similar sounding bands these days. Most the tunings, riffs, and production is the same. Especially in metal. It takes alot for a band to stand out to me anyways.... every time I hear another sleep token song I hear a different layer of their art. Really talented musicians doing unique things!
So... I've seen vids of vessel screaming before. Then will ramos makes a stink about how incredible vessel is (which he is) and now I hear vessel do some ramos esque screams live and sounds like a new man. Has a friendship sparked behind the scenes?
Only video I've been thankful to see where its clear that they switch off/its noticable who does what screams. Really cool. Vessel can scream but he isn't alone... dont take it as hate (for those ready to attack this as usual)
@@booperthebest1501 Yeah man. Vessels mic is always conveniently turned down a shit ton for this song but other screams in songs he's at the normal mic level.
iwas at this show! it was so good. im just angry that i couldnt stay for the rest ofthe set because i had nearly passed out from exhausting and dehydration
I just died and went to heaven⬆️ascending still....."there is always something in the way" always makes me think of Kurt too💔there's A LOT going on in this song....& let's definitely NOT overlook the S&M vibes👅 IYKYK
Yeah it’s weird seeing so many people recording on their phones but, if it wasn’t for that one person we would never get to see something like this. It’s 2023 & that’s just the way it is.
Am I the only one who likes the live version of screams more than studio version?

Agreed. You don’t hear how nasty his scream is on the record

I think the whole thing sounds much better live. someone in the studio really shouldn't be allowed to cook

Can we talk about how fucking AWESOME IV is with his screams? He's hitting the lows while Vessel nails the highs and it sounds SO FUCKING GOOD
all I head is IV idk
I think vessel was doin all the work that night I was watching IV and if I recall correctly he wasn’t screaming at all that song it was all Vessel
@@Crazyhickvr that would be even crazier. Vessel's powers grow stronger every day 🤣
i think its actually the other way around. Vessel is doing more of the mid/lows and IV doing them highs
@@weirdo3058I have to agree with you. Because when Vessel was singing in his other group, there's no way he can scream that high.
They just keep getting better at preforming this song live!
Excellent live band! That singer really holds your attention with both his voice and his stage presence, for sure.

It’s been 2 weeks for me too and I’m HOOKED.
Make sure to check out their older stuff. Two, Jaws, Sundowning, all amazing stuff.
I love Sam enjoying the music like it's his first time every time.
awesome performance! one of the best songs from the last album

iii's man bun probably the cutest shit i've ever seen lmao

Yea iv does most of the screams I believe
@@booperthebest1501 Yeah man. Vessels mic is always conveniently turned down a shit ton for this song but other screams in songs he's at the normal mic level.
for live shows, yes. album is all Vessel though.
No one said it wasn't. You lunatics always get offended and feel the need to mention that lol@@brbsnortingcatnip
How can you tell??
Ok who else thinks that Vessel drinks 45 Cokes, 4 monsters, at least 25 Red Bulls (because he thinks he’s flying on stage while he frolics)? Just me?
He drinks large mugs of espresso. But right the energy needed for live performances like that will require more
Was so drunk in this crowd lol. These guys made louder than life for me ❤❤
He was hitting the Metal Version of the Crip walk at 1:22
the vessel walk
vessels vocals are fucking insane
Gawd the screams are so good liveeee
Was there all four days Sleep Token were fcking phenomenal but upset they were playing the same time as Pantera
Pantera are wack. Phil Anselmo is a fat old drunk racist and Dimebag wasn't much better.
I love how Vessel has a much deeper scream than IV, they pair together very well in this song. I’m always amazed

Damn ! That Vessel Dude can do everything....
III Being a silly boy and acting out the lyrics XD
I was there this was awesome 🖤
1:22 I've figured it out!!! Vessel is... Dr Disrespect!!
This aged like milk
Bassy boy is the best
Music...sure but I love watching them and how much joy they have and that makes me happy
Why is crowd not jamming tf out?
I’m about 90%of the whole venue was at that small ass stage they should have put them on the big stages
Am I the only one that think that III has a big Darth Maul vibe?
Same😂
Wil ramos or alpha wolf 🤔
worship
Bass player is tall AF looks like 6'7" plus!!
well vessels 6'2 and i think the bass player is a bit taller
he’s like 6’4 or 6’3
@@bl00dedsaints III is 6'5 i think
This gives hope to the billions of talentless people on earth.
I heard he lost his voice…..surprise!! ?
That was at the Wembley show, where II, III and IV also debuted their new masks
This is far more entertaining than their lazy music videos
These guys suck

Amazingly corny
