The reason why your hair was reddish was because you had existing red colour in your hair. You chose a different colour to the previous red shade so you should have used the all over application method rather than the regrowth method to get a more violet result.

Yeah. I have very light golden brown hair, and it might take better to the lighter bits of brown in my hair. The golden tones.

It turned out nice 👍. I just had to color my grays today as well. I used Féria by L’Oréal in color #40, espresso deeply brown.
Oooooo I used to use feria all the time then they stopped doing it here xx
