Oh wow...that's so weird because my machine stopped working today I just want to let you know that you lift my spirits with your beautiful kind sweet energy which I am so grateful for at the moment and also I love your style and your pink addiction has rubbed off on me 😊🌹💝
You need to paint your frame pink or that beautiful green you used on several of your make overs. I love the note book idea, and I’m going to make one. Your awesome, love from Texas. 👍🏻👩🏻🦳👨🏻🦳🇺🇸❤️🇨🇱🤠🙏🏻💕
I attempted a book cover but it ended up too small, and it was a bit complicated as it was one of those lined ones with ties that you pull inside out. Thank God I had another book it fit. But I love this idea as it's a lot more straight forward. I think I measured with my book closed and it makes so much sense seeing you with the book open and then retrying it. I really want to give this another go now as I was doing a daily Morning Pages and would like to have a pretty cover to put the note books in and it might encourage me to restart it. Love the baskets too. Another thing I've wanted to try but hadn't a clue where to start. I really love your no nonsense approach to your tutorials, it makes it so much clearer. Another inspiring video, thank you x
@@DaintyDiaries I'm definitely getting the machine out this weekend now. I made a crochet granny square bag (1970's pattern) this week, so I really found this video helpful for lining that too as I've held off finishing it for that reason lol. Funny how the universe answers your needs. I started doing Morning Pages during the pandemic, along with The Artists Way, and only stopped about 6 weeks ago, which is crazy, because I stopped due to stress with problem tenants that wouldn't leave. I felt so stressed to even do my pages, which actually are great stress busters. I really need to get back into it as it's such a great way to start the day. Doing one of these covers will encourage me again. Thank you x
Love the baskets they would make nice gifts filled with the persond favourite toileteries.the same with the notepad cover's.youv'e triumphed again Catherine.
🤓💐 wow Catherine! You have a 169000 subscribers when it seemed like it was just yesterday you hit 100,000. That's pretty amazing how your channel is growing. Congratulations to you my dear🙋🏼🇺🇸
Aw I wished I covered my secondary school books with these beautiful fabrics back in the late ‘80s I had to use unflattering rip able wrapping paper! Sellotaped all over!! 🤨😂 x
I liked my wallpaper covered books. But I love how you can reuse the fabric covers. Plus, I used to graffiti my exercise books, back in the '80s - I ♥️ Duran Duran!
Oh yay! I’m so glad to see you sewing. I’m like you and have many interests and a variety of projects but right now I’m sewing a lot. Love the quick, simple projects!
Spiders are our little friends, just like the bees, don't be too afraid of them & let them live! They do important work keeping the ecosystem in check and catching mosquitoes and flies (not sure if you have a lot of those in Dublin). I was hoping for an announcement after seeing your ig stories yesterday - hope you tell us more soon! 🐝🐞🏡🕸️💟 Love your high fencing around your garden, I had a whole conversation yesterday with a male deer who was eating my flowers before I convinced him to go. We have so many of them here that nothing is safe, they even use the crosswalks around town, no joke!
Ah, you are such a good Girl with great channel. Just one thing today, you made me feel old as I was covering my books like this more years ago than I want to remember!🌷
I enjoy your videos! Don't be envious of the dollar stores, I moved from the US to Portugal a couple of years ago and really respect how EU countries try to support their own economy. Here in Portugal I walked into a place called "China Store" and wondered why it looked so familiar until I realized it was what most US stores look like. Ha! I'm looking forward to visiting Ireland again just so I can visit the thrift shops. Take care and thanks for the wonderful videos!
Catherine! I’m so happy you are going to tackle your shed! You never seem afraid to try anything hard or new, and I knew at some point in time you were going to do it! You will be so relieved! You can set off a “bomb” inside to send the spiders and such off to heaven, and then do your creative work! I can hardly wait!
I love a look through charity shops here 🏴. This morning I saw a small wicker one, I did think of buying it but I walked away🤦♀️, hmmmmmm maybe I should have bought it. Although I have plenty throughout the house, so I may just try and line one I have here
Love it you just read my mind..I was trying to make some covers..for my baskets..thank you so so much..🙏👌👌👌👌💗💗🤍💗💗🤍💗🤍🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸..I love all your projects...you inspire me so much..blessings 🙏🙏🙏🌸🤍🤍🤍🌸🤍🌻🙋🏻♀️
Hi, dear Catherine. 👋😊As always SUPER. 👍😉 Beautiful and inspiring video. THANK YOU. I wish you all the best and look forward to the next one. With love Maťa from Slovakia😘💕. Bye🍀🐞
Cute projects! I am crocheting a soft pink yarn with a pink sparkle running through it into a blanket for my great granddaughter for Christmas. Yes, 61 years old and a great grandmother!! 3 daughters, 3 son in laws ,5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren...love my family!!
Excited for your potting shed 🏚️🤸🏼🌼🌻. If you can face the s!#@#%s and fix up your shed you will give me the motivation to face my bomb shelter. It's a good size and I'd love to turn it into a storage space for my gardening things, somewhere to do my furniture painting and a potting area but, its a hotel for the above mentioned at the moment. I'm not a fan of them either 😰 xx
Lovely as always😊 and great ideas🤗. Good luck with the shed.. I clean mine out and declutter it each summer and it is always full of big fat hairy spiders🕷️.. I always feel guilty moving them out to the garden😢.
Hi Catherine, you have such lovely content and I’ve been following you for a very long time. I live in Wales and our shops are very similar, could you tell me where you purchase your fabrics? All the fabrics you use are so pretty and feminine. Hugs from Wales.💕💕
Love the tutorials....I have my cricut maker and I'm absolutely in love with it. Little tip for transfer tape...Mr price has r clear rolls for covering school books ...it makes excellent transfer tape for cricut vinyl and so much cheaper than the cricut brand!
Thanks Catherine dear, love seeing all you come up with these new cue and simple projects. it’s been a while since I’ve been sewing time to get cracking again 💕💗😊
I have a couple of hints that might be handy to you. When you're putting together words on your Cricut design space (not sure what it's called as I'm a Scan & Cut user), try and close the gap between you letters then weld them. this means you won't have the little cuts between joined letters. This makes for easier weeding and positioning and a more polished finish. A little pocket for your pen would be very handy on your lovely notebook cover. I hope this is helpful Catherine x
Great video as always Catherine - I love all your creative DIY ideas! And I hear you about spiders, they are one of my biggest phobias! Needless to say, whenever I see one, I run a mile!!!!
What a nice brother you have to help with the shed. Hopefully not too many spiders. Not my favorite creature to deal with. My son catches them & let's them go outside. I loved the sewing tutorial. I found some beautiful floral fabric for a couple throw pillows. If I have enough left over I certainly will make a matching basket liner or two.
Hello from the U.S! These are such cute and useful projects!! The basket liner is particularly pretty!! I have a little elastic "hack" for you. You don't actually have to do a casing for situations like that. Cut a piece of elastic just a bit longer than the length you want to gather up to, then pin it at each end of the area you want gathered on top of where you ironed it over for your hem. Then pull the elastic out all the way as you top stitch it with a zigzag stitch. Do a little back stitching at each end just like you would for any regular sewing. When you let it loose, it will gather up nicely with no casing needed. Thanks again for all your lovely shares!
These DIY,s are great I love the baskets with the fabric but the price not so much 🤗, but I can have them and match them to other items as well. Totally understand needing help with the spiders , I'm able to open my windows a little since my friend told me about peppermint oil , I rub it all the way round the opening they don't like it , even my out side doors inside and out and it has made a huge difference. Excited to see the process. Stay safe stay well x xx
loved the DIY's! I have 2 count them 2 sewing machines in my closet! I need to get both of them fixed. and did you know that spearmint repels spiders? I have it planted in the back of my house where there used to be some kind of striped spiders. anyway I am wanting to plant it all around my house! I am terrified of the eight legged creatures! xoxo
If you can grab the cheap clear contact paper, you can use that several times instead of the other transfer paper for vinyl...I'd say grab it at the Dollar Store, but that's just mean 🤭
Wait, what?? OMG I am soooooo giddy 'bout the shed transformation....c'mon girl, don't let the critters give you the heebie-jeebies 👀🙄🙈🕷🕷🤭, love this weeks trio of makeovers 😍

Can not wait for the shed video! Woo! Also excited for these beginners sewing projects, you inspired me to get a sewing machine for Christmas! Very excited to get going! Thank youuuuu Catherine for all your marveloussness X
LOL Catherine, I heard your oven and before you said anything, I jumped thinking mine was ringing off. Those three DIY were so nice. I can't help but wonder if Poundland is like the USA Dollars Stores. I want to give it a go with the basket lining I never thought about lining them in fact some have them in and I took them out. I love the flower ones so I need to give that a go.
I enjoyed this. especially the basket & fabric book cover. But Catherine the book cover looked a bit to long. How would you fix that? fold it or cut it down?
If you need some quick tutorials on you Cricut machine, head over to White Cottage Company’s UA-cam channel. She does so much stuff with hers and tells you how to set it up and get the most out of it! Another great video girl!

Another UA-camr (White Cottage Company) that does a lot of vinyl work uses Press and Seal (I think it is) over and over instead of the transfer tape.
