    Of the lot I prefer #2, the Kintetsu. Beautifully designed with clear tinted windows for the driver and passengers and a clean, comfortable interior seating and dining area. Modernistic, realistic and very nice...... Love it.....

    Japan has the world’s very best passenger & commuter train network. I rode on a commuter train Express from Downtown Yokosuka to Tokyo, the trip with only 6 stops took only 45 minutes and the train stations are very clean. I rode also on the Tokyo subway, very clean stations, clean trains, very efficient. Japan is into model railroading in N gauge big time.

      are you sure? ua-cam.com/video/rJ-edUFNH20/v-deo.html this station is dedicated only to high speed trains (high speed = AV alta velocità in italian) and actually in japan, china, france, germany, italy, spain, russia and other countries like taiwan and south korea the standard speed for high speed commercial on railway is up to 360km/h. magnetic levitation technology is another story and the siemens (germany so european) maglev project is at the top level like the japanise maglev project too.

      @treninavi You heard of Shinkansen right? how many years did it remain the only high speed rail in the world?
      Japan is a completely different culture then any other including china. What Japan is, you will never understand until you actually know. What you think is ugly is actually beautiful to Japanese.

    The Shinkansen 500, IMO, has the best exterior (yes the interior was a bit cramped) design of any passenger train ever built. Almost all bullet trains worldwide now look like the 500, which debuted in 1997!

    Having ridden on many of Japan's trains over the past 20 years, I believe they are all beautiful. I think the last Kodama was removed from service a couple of years ago. That deserved an honorable mention as the first Shinkansen. Hopefully, I will get to travel on the Maglev when going to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

    • @Dotaku
      @Dotaku  6 років тому

      I agree, but Your Kodama was the Shinkansen 0 series. Kodama service is always on the way. For Tôkyô Olympics 2020, you'll cannot ride the future Maglev (2027)

    I would like to add the Shinkansen E2, E7 and 800, JR East series 251 and Cassiopeia, JR Kyushu series 787, 883 and Yufuin no Mori, any maroon-coloured Hankyu train, JR Hokkaido series 789, the E655 imperial train, and many more that I still have forgotten to mention.
