I don't care what people think of spiderman 3 but you have to admit this is way more emotional than anything in the amazing spiderman series(2012-1014) This is a great trilogy with good messages and amazing soundtrack
+MajdMH Halaby Halaby Pathetic scene! The whole movie is pathetic! Especially the fact that Uncle Ben's death turned out to be an accident! And when Peter throws bomb back at Harry - this explosion should (and even would) have killed Harry! If he was supposed to survive this, he should have lost his arm and had his body badly burned! If not killed, he should have been crippled by this explosion!
+Rohan Soldier He threw this bomb at Peter to kill him. I hoped that this killed Harry. Anyway why did Mary Jane forgive Peter so quickly and so easily, even though he punched her and humiliated? It makes no sense at all!
I remember when I was a kid we were poor and my mom did not have money but she got me the three movies and I used to have a Spider-Man suit and I used to Watch this every day and I'd jump around and then I say this part and it made me cry because my mom was so poor and she still made it work for me LOVE YOU MOM😢
"Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It’s the choices that make us who we are... and we can always choose to do what's right." Edit: Wow thanks for the likes guys! And yet, those were perhaps his last words ever spoken in Tobey's final Spider-Man movie 😭
It kind of bothers me how people bitch about how many times Peter cries in these movies, or how his face looks when he cries, or whatever. This is real crying, does it really make sense to judge a person for how he responds emotionally to a situation? I'd like to see how you react to losing your best friend, or father figure, etc. I find that a lot of the things I once criticized these movies for I am now reevaluating through my more adult perspective, while they may have been fun to make fun of at the time, would you really rather have this or the new movies? Which are completely barren of any feeling, emotion, or passion whatsoever, save for excellent the chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
+Bigbrother3465 You said it right! and I really think he's the only guy that can pull off Harry Osborn/The New Goblin. he's really an A list / Great actor!
Doesn't mean it should be devoid of REAL stakes and drama, Spidey jokes around in the comics but he certainly wasn't joking around when Gwen Stacy died in the comics. Even in the comics they get very emotional and relatable, Peter is usually a wreck in the comics and something goes wrong, that's what the raimi films got right the death and emotion which a massive MCU fan can see is missing, Only Winter Soldier captured that tone properly.
One of the best Spiderman movie in my opinion. Sure it had its share of flaws but overall, these characters had emotions behind them. Even Sandman. this line at the very end stuck with me since the movie was release. Still to this day I abide by it. 'whatever comes our way, whatever battles we have raging inside of us, we always have a choice. Its the the choices that make who we are and we can always choose to do whats right'.
Life lessons from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man: Trilogy. Spider-Man: Power and Responsibility. Spider-Man 2: Sacrifice and Choice. Spider-Man 3: Revenge and Forgiveness. Tobey will be my OG Spider-Man always.
I don’t understand the hate for this movie. Yes they shouldn’t have rushed Venom at the end and had 3 villains but the movie overall was great in my opinion. Scenes like this I thought were really powerful and this movie makes me cry every time.
Amy Dassi Actually I think is fine because Harry as a villain only happens on the beginning and Venom only near the end. And Harry and Sandman turns out not that bad. I think it's a great movie.
It's always the minority that is misunderstood. People have become simpleminded (The Amazing Spider-Man is more than enough proof). There is no need to try and convince somebody, so just sit back and enjoy the original trilogy the way it is. Good luck in the future, my friend!
Emo garfield? Gosh how many times do I have to say this to you people. Tobey acted fine. But he is not the correct spiderman. The Andrew played him, the way they wrote and directed his scenes. That is the way spider man is supposed to be. A smart ass a genius, kind of a dick. He's intelligent and is going to let you know he is. Arrogant. Funny quips, jokes, mocking people. Not the type to want a partner , doesn't play well with others. That's the correct spider man. Look at the very first comic. Look how spider man acts and talks. He's kind of rude.
Spiderman 1 and 2 are still the best comic movies. And two of the best movies in recent history. Not one MCU movie has the attention to details of Spiderman's life, the relationship between him and Aunt May. Aunt May was perfect. You can tell he actually read Spiderman growing up
Does everyone hate this movie. Although I thought it was not the best spiderman movie u can make. This part always keeps my eyes in tears about to cry. I wish they made more spiderman maguire movies.
Died in the arms of his best friends, seeing the sunrise. His father died trying to kill Peter, Harry died protecting him. Not many people talk about how perfectly Harry Osborn's arc was handled in the Raimi trilogy, say what you will about the movie, but this is a fact. His death always hurts, such a perfect character.
There's quotes throughout this trilogy that I try and live my life by. This is such a good trilogy, it has lots of good messages and will always have a special place in my heart
Say what you will about Toby and the original, but this version of Spider-Man had depth and emotion not seen in any other Spidey films since. In my eyes, this will always be the original Spider-Man, that and the animated series one :P
Peter hoped that Harry would survive with he's wounds. That is why he was asking questions like "Hey pal, how are you doing?" to make Harry concentrate on a normal friend chat and then maybe Harry could hold on until a complete surgery, instead of thinking of he's wounds. Sometimes, it's just not the body that you depend on to make you live on but, yourself. But, the wounds was too great for Harry:( .
+Weston Blackledge nah tbh to me it doesn't matter if Tom does better, Tobey will always be the real Spidey, at least to me cause I grew up watching him and he also takes part of my childhood.
My god I didn't notice but is that Flash Thompson at 2:08? walking behind MJ? I mean like I even looked it up online that Joe Manganiello had a small cameo in it, man Flash was a dick but he still came to the funeral to pay respects.
It's a nice tribute to the comics. Just before Gwen was killed, Peter, MJ, Harry, Flash and Gwen were an extremely close knit group of friends that would have done anything for each other. Flash's journey from bully to one of Peter's true friends is one of the things that I wish they would flesh out more somewhere.
Tobey Maguire, James Franco, these actors are my idols for the umpteenth time watching this excerpt from spider man, I cry, that's called friends are the people when the enemy rasskaivaetsya, not something that happens in the world right now ((
This is why I loved Spidey when Toby and James were in it. This scene gaves me the watery eyes in the theatre. Toby and Harry's reactions and crying is so genuine, and really makes you feel it. A very powerful scene indeed.
The fact I like about Maguire’s Trilogy is his scenes are emotional unlike Holland’s and the emotional stuff like this gets the audiences attention and they actually talked about how they wished Harry didn’t die and how he would be a good Hero teaming up with Peter more often I don’t care what people say about this movie it was incredibly outstanding Awesome Spectacular and Amazing this movie is actually the best Spider-Man movie this had strong emotion hate and vengeance this is a movie that will never be forgotten

there were a lot of things in spiderman 3 that didn't work, but this wasn't one of them. the movie would have been better if they left out what was obviously dumb, and left in great scenes like this. i mean the cinematography is just gorgeous here.
This is forever my favourite spiderman variation. The classic but also because of the raw emotion that comes through. Even after all this time and no matter how many times I watch it, the emotion that comes across always gets me. Every betrayal, every sacrifice, every loss of a loved one. All the pain behind it, and still choosing to be a hero despite it. To carry on despite how much he loses.
“Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It's the choices that make us who we are, and we can always choose to do what's right.”
These movies taught me something, with great power comes great responsibility( I know it sounds cheesy but think of normal life things. You have the power to punch someone or idk fire someone or something, but you need to be responsible about it), we always have a choice, and if you act like you think you’re the coolest, you will look cool but everyone will hate you.
I really hope Spider-Man Homecoming captures the emotional and tragic side of Spider-Man. As much as I somehow enjoyed TASM, this was an amazing series that showed a superhero's epic struggle if a normal human was suddenly given such a huge responsibility. I loved this scene!
I know a lot of people disliked this one, but I've always thought it was the best one, love him or hate him Tobey is always gonna be the best Spidey on the big screen. I have hopes for the new one, but I don't expect it to be better than any of the ones with Tobey. This scene made me cry, it might've been because I was younger when it came out, but watching it again now it's still a sad scene.
It all started with a feild trip and a spider bite and ended with two of the closest friends he could ask for. One of them who died and both who loved him.
i really like harry osborn character, he became evil for little time but in finally save piter's life bicause always they are friends, they help each other. i hate what the production do to harry in amazing spiderman 2! he became a monster, there isn't the friendship between them and he kill gwen for revenge vs piter
One of my favorite genre in spiderman is friendship. This story teaches about the ups and downs of relationships and friendships. In every friendship and relationship, there is a test of commitment and loyalty. There are times where there are animosities in relationships and friendships, there is still need of work out. I really hope this is true in real life. Most of the time, if our friends have wronged us, we end the relationship or friendship there.
When Peter says "Best friend" i always feel like i want to cry. This was such a sad scene, i love these movies. I will forever remember them being part of my childhood.
May this story be a lesson to all of us. We do not run away from the problem if people wronged us. We need to learn to make adjustments in every relationship and friendship. Running away is not the answer. It is possible to restore broken relationships.
NO, Disney65Fan you are not the only one who thinks that!!! In fact, the villains are too. The ends of these movie are more emotional and epics. Redention for the villains.
I think Tobey Maguire made Peter Parker more humble and timid. Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker he made him into a cocky know it all with ALOT more confidence. Overall thank god im not the ONLY person who thinks that Maguire is better.
+SavageSmickey No Andrew sucked. He cant act for one, And when he made jokes some of them were annoying. Like the one at the beginning, He nearly had a bus full of people die because he was too busy being stupid. And if you say Tobey whined, he didnt. He just made noises when he got hurt. But they made Tobey look alot tougher than Andrew.
I would understand that, but Andrew makes fun and teases his villains more than making jokes which is annoying and I really haven't seen Spiderman act like that. Like at the beginning he was making jokes, but while he was being stupid, He nearly had a bus full of people die because he's irresponsible. I would rather have a mature Spiderman who actually being responsible and throws punches back at a villain instead of a stupid Spiderman who almost causes a lot of people to die because of his stupidity and fights with webs.
I cried at this part as a kid because the Spider-Man movies were so much to me and loosing harry was like loosing someone close because I knew that character all my life as a kid.
Peter: "I should never have hurt you... or said those things."
Harry: "None of that matters, Peter. You're my friend.
Peter: "Bestfriend"
and the music in this scene.
I cry like a child every single time.
Christopher N.C. Peter Parker: I should never have hurt you...or said those things
Harry:none of that matters,Peter.you are my friend.

''He died in my arms, after he tried to kill me. It's heartbreaking.''
None of that matters
Spider-Man 3 is such an underrated movie in my opinion. Harry’s death actually makes me upset. Unlike Tony’s death in Endgame.
To think, this was what we thought would be the last we'd see of this Spider-Man, almost 15 years ago.
Spider-Man 3 makes me cry
The pain and sorrow is what makes a great movie
Tobey Maguire will always be the best spider man . I love this sense and the whole trilogy
Damn who would’ve ever thought that two nerds back in high school would save the city from two big villains...
I know right
this movie i watched it when i was seven years old and i loved this scene i'd always cry oh man it just bring back memories
Whatever comes our way, whatever battle rages inside us we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself.
It’s the choices the make us who were are, and we can always choose to do what’s right.

I really hope Spider-Man Homecoming captures the emotional and tragic side of Spider-Man. As much as I somehow enjoyed TASM, this was an amazing series that showed a superhero's epic struggle if a normal human was suddenly given such a huge responsibility. I loved this scene!
This is so touching and so sad 😭 they r the greatest best friends ever 😭 I wish they didn't kill Harry off in the movie 😭
As Woody said in Toy Story 3..."So long, partner." :,(
+Joseph Equihua What the heck is the relation between woody/toy story and this?
+Max White I believe saying goodbye to your best friend
Agreed.
Harry's character arc was a journey, this dude was the real main character. Glad he redeemed himself
The ending scenes of all tobys spiderman damn heart touching
It all started with a feild trip and a spider bite and ended with two of the closest friends he could ask for. One of them who died and both who loved him.
I cry at the end of Spider-Man 3.
The only time I've seen Spiderman actually cry other than when Uncle Ben was murdered. What an amazing movie.
wow this is sad 😔😔😔😔😔😔😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢
harry's death broke me as a kid.
i really like harry osborn character, he became evil for little time but in finally save piter's life bicause always they are friends, they help each other.
i hate what the production do to harry in amazing spiderman 2!
he became a monster, there isn't the friendship between them and he kill gwen for revenge vs piter
Harry-"You are my friend"
Peter-"Best Friends"
Harry-"Let's Go Home"
(tokyo ghoul scene)
XD
When Peter says "Best friend" i always feel like i want to cry. This was such a sad scene, i love these movies. I will forever remember them being part of my childhood.
True friendship right there
Yeah
May this story be a lesson to all of us. We do not run away from the problem if people wronged us. We need to learn to make adjustments in every relationship and friendship. Running away is not the answer. It is possible to restore broken relationships.
This scene alone beats Homecoming..#Facts
If only friendship was still like this
True friends
Am I the ONLY person who thinks Tobey Maguire was better as Spiderman than Andrew Garfield. This is actually on TV on Five @6:30.
Yeah Garfield gave me this swagger,Maguire made him as this shy guy.
+SavageSmickey
No Andrew sucked.
I felt I was gonna cry when Harry died 😔😢😭 I feel bad for Harry
This Scene Made Me Cry And It Still Does 13 Years Later
