this is a great point ....I seen radiohead live many times in the 90s and early 2000s ..and his voice was always powerful and flawless live...but
for me recently his voice sounds soso and often he sounds stoned to be honest through recordings only through youtube....
I still love them and realise that he is older and his voice has changed (this is natural) ..anyways i hope to catch them at Glastonbury next year...because I do feel these recordings are misleading possibly like your saying

It's not like he's got them sorted JUST for if you're in attendance or not...it's the same vocal whether you're there or whether it's a live recording. We need to just accept that he doesn't sing the songs properly live anymore, he sings them in almost a parody, and out of time/pitch, like he doesn't really want to be there, which is highly annoying. He used to only do this on songs like 'Just' years ago, but now it's almost every single song. But most Radiohead fans will defend him to the death, as you'll see in the replies to this comment, if there happen to be any.

Man. I've seen Radiohead twice now, and I have to say that these HD recordings never do them justice. Burn the Witch is SUCH a powerful song live, and live recordings always makes Thom sound out of breath or something. It's a totally different vibe when you're there and feeling the energy.

There's not much he can do about his voice, he's getting older after all. I've noticed it usually takes awhile for his voice to warm up during shows so maybe if they play Burn the Witch later in the set he'd sound better.
