do not fret my dear, it takes me 14 hours to do a square, bcuz i have to stop to answer doors, phones, stop a fight out side my house, (animals or people) and i only live in a small town of tennessee, i take naps, have food, watch tv and by then i had only finished the first circle row, so i feel ya and its ok
Anxiety is a normal part of everyone’s life in this world. It always has been. Crocheting is an excellent way to relax. That’s pretty much all there is to it.

For some reason, I like to watch crochet videos while I crochet. Watching other people make stuff really motivates me to get a lot done on my projects.

i like to watch drawfee here on youtube! their commentary/banter is fun and feels like you’re in a room with friends. also i can keep my eyes on my crochet and i only need to look up every once in a while to see what they’re drawing. it’s nice to watch other people being creative while i’m also creating (:

I'm also currently making a blanket and I have been rewatching a bunch of Castle episodes :) I usually crochet while rewatching something because then it doesn't matter if I miss a few seconds because I have to undo a mistake or something like that, also audiobooks are a great way to be entertained while crocheting ^^ love your blanket :D it's so colorful!

I am just so happy to see someone who also is upset that they cannot crochet at super-duper-UA-cam-fiber-influencer speed. It really does my heart good.
It is a very slow hobby so why try to make it fast, unless you have a shop or something 😂
My anxiety has been on the fritz lately. The thought of making a blanket is still so intimidating as someone fairly new to crochet (plus I have like 10 WIPs to get through) but the thought of a weighted blanket would be so comforting to me.

When I crochet, I typically watch other videos on fibercrafts, but specifically not crochet. Embroidery, wool processing, knitting, cross-stitch, sewing, spinning, that sort of thing. I do some crossstitch, knitting and sewing, so I swap out whatever im doing out of my rotation.
I watched this video while crocheting for my own stupid mental health. I'm unemployed and trying to keep myself busy while also working down my yarn stash.
I usually watch crafting videos, anything from sewing to yarn crafts to sculpture to resin - kind of just whatever I feel like watching at the moment. The other genre I lean towards is D&D streams.

I was going to recommend D&D too! I've gotten really into Tales from the Stinky Dragon podcast, and it is the perfect crochet background because there's no visuals, so nothing to get distracted by lol

Oh, this is so beautiful! 💛 I listen to The Magnus Archives while crocheting. A weird mix of a cosy activity with some horror mystery, but doing the stitches helps me focus on the story and gradually figure it out. Also, it's got like 200 episodes, so I don't see myself running out of good stuff to listen to anytime soon.

Hi! OMG the blanket is absoluetly GORGEOUS! And the sweater????? In awe!! When I am crocheting or knitting, I personally prefer to watch a lot of youtubers, either you, another crocheter, or comentator youtubers. If I'm not doing that, I like to listen to some of my favorite playlists, watch stand up comedy, or anime movies! Hope that gives you some ideas so it feels less lonely while crocheting! I was starting a blanket with these granny squares and I HATED the back , however , after watching your video this was a sign to make it and do exactly what you did and attach another blanket to it !!! Ahhh I feel so inspired 🫶🏼🌷!!!!

This isn’t helpful but I try to knit or crochet while I watch your videos. But for the actually useful stuff I love to listen to video essays on how story’s do X trope (I love understanding what writers do to make me sad) and I listen to audiobooks that I can listen to for free through Libby. I don’t know if it works with libraries outside the U.S. but there are other online libraries that let you join. With Libby you just use your library card and then you can check out audio books instead of destroying you bank account with audible. Some books with cool sound effects are the wooden prince and it’s sequel which is a steampunk fairytale rewrite of Pinocchio.

i love your blanket and this vid was very calming for me. Don't be so hard on yourself, you are crocheting without looking at the written pattern so you must have it memorized. I certainly do not need another blanket but am tempted to make a daisy one. love your daisy color combos. thanks for sharing your idea and make more videos.

Honestly I really shouldn't have watched this because now I want to make one, but I have to finish my other 13 projects :((( Two suggestions for what to watch while crocheting is some of ikoxun's videos (she has really good crochet and knit content) and also a show called "Over the Garden Wall" (its just a cute, relaxing, fall show that takes no concentration and is perfect to crochet to) Hope that helps :)

for what I watch: crochet by genna, the try guys (eat the menu and without a recipe are my favourite!), jacob forester (his cozy game plays are great background noise) and omazingpaige are some of my favourite
I binge Marvel shows… lol I’m. Big fan! During Christmas is my real crafting season, I like to hand make my gifts, and I’ll go through my entire Christmas dvd collection. Also I’ll watch other creators do the same type of craft as me, it helps me push through. Sometimes, I’ll watch book reviews as well. Hope this list helps.😊

for longevity you should consider sewing a few lines throughout the blanket to tack blankets to one another more securely.

The blanket turned out beautifully. I enjoyed the process and yes, weaving in all those ends would have been a no for me as well. While crocheting I like to watch UA-cam podcasts or whatever longer videos I have saved in my watch later list. I also like watching other people's crocheting videos. If I want community drama, there's a new person I found that does fiber art drama, Made in the Moment. Or some serious learning videos like language learning or some history, cultural content.

You claimed to not know what you were doing - yet you did amazing. Simply a fantastic blanket. Do you have the pattern for it? Or could you do a short video with the pattern? I could just stop and start, but I too suffer from being lazy lol
When I'm crocheting I watch other people crocheting, like I'm crocheting right now as I'm watching you, I also watch documentaries, I listen to music ... and sometimes I find that I just had a nap with it all in my hands/lap.
I sincerely hope your anxiety has mellowed a bit and work is not too difficult.

When I crochet I usually watch either Sam and Colby or Eleanor Neale on UA-cam. I have also been watching ‘the fall of the house of usher’ on Netflix, other shows are Shameless, Criminal Minds, Ginny and Georgia, the Office,and The walking Dead.

I made a blanket once, but it's in a double crochet, nothing fancy, just rows of red, white and green and I consider it the best thing I've ever made though it's kind of lopsided😃

I watch my comfort shows usually while crocheting. Ones ive seen too many times that I dont need to pay attention to. Specifically Greys Anatomy. Or sometimes competition shows like Project Runway or cooking competitions. Something i can glance at, but really just listen to in the background 😊 I hope you find something that works for you!

Right now I am preparing a bunch of crochet goods to practice, and then with anything I don't want to keep I will be selling at a craft fair in August! I watched The Affair, The Good Fight and Bloodline while making a blanket with 42 squares! It's a peppermint swirl but I used black background and strong colors. Just starting to sew it together
