1.6 is crazy engine, after 2500rpm this engine is beast for his capabilities. Fuel efficiency is not very well but it goes very well and is cheap to maintain
the mk1's were so cool, shame in uk everyone wants the best of everything, if not there would be tons still on the road since they are great fun to drive. The 1.6 duratec is a great strong engine even today 25 years later!

It's not that crazy lol, feels strained at higher speeds and runs out of puff fairly quickly but it's adequate for basic journeys and around town.
It rides well at high speeds, 4th gear is quick.@@kieran8845

Great car, had a blast in it. Had a few issues with a head gasket from memory, but other than that a dream to drive and handled like a beast.
