OMG ! These guys are sooo.......AWESOME ! crazy insane but AWESOME !
I soooo hope they all will stay safe & no one gets injured.
BE CAREFUL
DAMN🩹IT !
As the rescue ship we very rarely hear of any accidents on the platforms.
We film some of the largest waves ever caught on camera.
We work with 2 North Sea oil platforms that can accurately measure wave height so no guessing or exaggeration.
Enjoy 🌊🌊

I was one of those vertigo sufferers I was in the USNavy and I couldn’t shake getting sea sick I suffered bad could not get out of my rack unable to eat or work I asked for shore duty but the wouldn’t do it I
How long were you in the navy?
Sir! I have vertigo just from watching this!🤢
Some people say they get seasick watching my other videos 😂

Got out after two years under honorable conditions I should have joined the Army The Navy taught me how to weld so I did learn something useful
Welding is a great trade.
These guy's are INCREDIBLE ~ AMAZING ~ FASCINATING, talk about ball's of steel ! I think that should be changed to ball's of Titanium. They are definitely in a league of their own. I worry about them all & sooo hope that everyone of them remains safe. Please be careful. That thing is a BEAST, its MASSIVE ! Why are they adding on to it, is it not huge enough ? Does it sway with the waves or is that just the boat the camera man is in ? I would think something that huge would fall over pretty easy if it were rolling with the waves. X'cellent video !! Super 8nteresting !! Thank u ! 😁✌️🇺🇲
Thank you very much.
These rigs are very old so these men are carrying out repairs. Yes, they do sway a bit it heaven weather but not this light breeze.
@@Bigwavemaster1 So you are allowed to do the vids again?! That's good. I hope Albert and everyone are OK.
@@Oakleaf700 These are the videos I got into trouble for posting. I have now retired from the sea and working on a farm.

Taks a look at some of the insane Storm footage of Bigwavemasters..that's also crazy stuff.
@@Bigwavemaster1 I still can't understand why you got into trouble for posting - but who knows.
You ran a Tight ship by the looks of it, so nothing bad documented.
It's nuts though that you had to video staff at their posts to show the bosses during Covid era ..Did the bosses think the ship steered itself?
That's me out, then. Gets seasick in the bath and vertigo on a 6 foot ladder.
Good to see you back again 😊
@@Bigwavemaster1 I thought you'd been stopped from filming by the 'bosses'
You have had some stunning footage over the years, really crazy sea conditions, and the staff seemed like a good bunch- Albert and the Cook Bogdan especially.
..and the several ''Wandas'' of course.
@@Oakleaf700 Albert retired a couple of trips after me and is now propping up the bar at The Seafield Arms in Whitehills.
I miss filming the storms and looking through the footage for that perfect shot.
@@Bigwavemaster1 At least the storms are immortalised..Albert - He was so kind to the wild birds that landed on the ships.
I hope he enjoys his retirement.
@@Bigwavemaster1 On a dog walk yesterday, we met a bloke who said he'd worked on Oil Rigs up North
He said they used to be able to see the Rescue Vessel literally see sawing out in the wild waves- like a bucking bronco.
That could have been you and Albert.
They are the real Spider-Man!
Indeed
I couldn't watch until the end, I'm getting seasick in my lounge.
The North Sea is a cruel & unforgiving place

Was this camera on the end of a slinky?
It was on the end of one of these.

You’re welcome. Plenty more where that comes from 😊

The North Sea has crazy waves but only for a month a year during storm season. I fish the Great Lakes and due to wing and geography the waves get much bigger there than anyone has ever seen or documented. Reminding everyone the loss of Edmund Fitzgerald and her well seasoned crew. Gitche Gumee, The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy
The largest wave ever recorded in the Great Lakes was just over 9 meters. The largest wave I have filmed in the North Sea was 29 meters.

@@Bigwavemaster1 Yeah yeah heard it a million times from you North Sea oil guys. I know the drill...you all have the biggest c*cks all over 1 foot long, your cars all do 300 mph, fish caught there are never less than 1000 lbs, you can all drink 35 beers a day and not be drunk...I know I know
@@Bigwavemaster1 Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings
In the rooms of her ice-water mansion
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams
The islands and bays are for sportsmen
And farther below Lake Ontario
Takes in what Lake Erie can send her
And the iron boats go as the mariners all know
With the gales of November remembered
Which platform?
Heather Alpha.
Use a stabliser/gimble or stabilise it in post.
Okay 😉
The only thing giving me vertigo and making me want to vomit watching this video is the shoddy camera work bouncing all over the place.
How steady would your camera be?

@@Bigwavemaster1Don’t get me wrong, love your channel and content, and certainly "get" what's behind it all....but there's a point where the acceptance that something leans toward unusable footage should be acknowledged. Cheers.
