Good video brother. I think the rubber plug is for a needle bearing grease. Just remove the plug and fill with grease. Contact me if you have any questions. Have a great one .

Usually you can just stretch out the old spring and reassemble. Done that on a few bikes over the years

I hear ya, but the old spring and bearing were nasty and I wanted fresh and brand new for this build.

Yeah I tried rebuilding mine. It was wore out like throwing a hot dog down the hallway haha. I bought a NOS kicker off of eBay 2 weeks ago. I've been using Rocky mountain for many many years. Great place to buy stuff from.
