At the end of October I will be riding for 2 years. My first bike ever I bought a Suzuki Boulevard M109R. Put aftermarket exhaust and air intakes. Had the ecu flashed. It’s a beast. Then in March I bought me a 2022 S1000RR. At the first service I had complete M4 exhaust, Brentune Stage 2, and the Sprint air filter put on. All done by me. Since I have put LighTech chain adjusters, Vortex 44T aluminum Sprocket, and the lighter rear brake rotor. Very easy bike to ride. It all depends on the rider.

Wow. I'm on stock battlax s22's 190 I think, and at 8,000 miles this thing is toast. So squared off it's not even funny. I've never intentionally burned out on this bike but the engine brake is like slamming the brake in my opinion. So even just backing off the throttle quick is dragging tire and rubbing away. Maybe I should try that Dunlop. I'm definitely getting something different this time around seriously. Good vid. Keep vibing.

Imo any bike can be a beginner bike depending the rider. I grew up having dirt bikes. So when I was ready to roll around 17. I learned on my dad's busa. And loved it. Now I have a liter bike. Zx10r kaw actually. But I think someone who's familiar with riding something like a dirtbike 4 wheeler etc? Then you could start on any bike imo. Some say 600cc but in time you will probably want something bigger? And with bikes being expensive asf now. It might be easier to get you a liter bike from start?

Love the s1k. Regardless of modes maneuverability on the street any bike that has the ability to go from 0-100 mph in mere seconds probably isnt a good first choice. From experience Even on a ninja 400 one wrong throttle pull on the wrong street can end badly

I disagree. Power gives you options. If you need to get out of a sticky situation quick then the liter will get you there. A 300cc not so much. It’s all mental. You can kill yourself just as quick on a smaller cc bike if you ride like a tool.

If you know you want to end up on a liter bike, get a liter bike to start. As a new rider who never rode anything, I listened to all the noise and got a SV650... great bike... and I outgrew it and got bored in one month. I did dozens of hours of research, watched dozens of YT videos, read many forum posts and literally everyone was saying the same thing, so I figured they must be right. For me, THEY WERE ALL WRONG! I now regret it every time I ride. I have to save up for my next bike, which is a BMW S1000rr, and I'm stuck with this slow bike. I listened to all the people who said, "a liter bike is way too much bike for a beginner", "you can have just as much fun on a 650". This is absolute garbage. It's like saying you can have just as much fun in a V6 Honda Accord, as you can in a Ferrari. Total nonsense. Everyone's different though. If fun to you is moderate acceleration, you have no interest in going faster than 120mph, and/or you know you are reckless and have no inherent coordination and skills... then YES get a starter bike 100%. If you know you want to end up on a liter bike, you want to go 140mph, and have even a fair amount of confidence in your maturity and composure; then get the liter bike. I never rode and was entirely dependent on other's experiences and was totally unsure and apprehensive; if you're on the fence and unsure if you can handle a liter bike, but have a good feeling you can, YOU CAN! Most all modern super sports have low speed modes to learn on. Even if its an older 1000, just take it easy and start slow... you'll be up to speed in literally 2 weeks. Even though 95% of riders will tell you different, 95% (probably much less) of riders aren't interested in super sports, and they're NOT talking about riders like me, and potentially you. Don't let anyone scare you off your path. For someone like me, a "beginner bike" was a complete waste of time, and NO, it's nowhere near as fun. I rode my friends GSXR1000R and my 650 is nowhere in the same universe of fun.

The inline 4s are generally much smoother engines and sounds like an F1 car. The only thing is you can’t really tell which bike it is just from hearing it. All the bikes sound good; it’s just a matter of which you prefer the most. For me the bikes I have is the best of both worlds. The S1K sounds amazing and is the best for street riding and commuting. @Jalen King V4R is more of a race homologated machine is it not?
